The house was perfect for our group of 10 adult friends who were in the area for a wedding. Elizabeth was a wonderful host - very responsive and helpful, the house was very spacious and had everything we needed for our long weekend stay. would stay again!

Great property! Nearby grocery store and lots of restaurants. Spacious property with fun backyard. It was a great space for a group of college friends to catch up and get ready for a wedding :)

We really enjoyed our stay. A little disappointed in the proximity of the house and the beach. The walk to the beach was difficult since to walk there you need to share the road with fast moving traffic and no soft shoulder. Otherwise, we enjoyed our stay.

The home is at end of a quiet cul de sac with fenced in back yard. From the garage side of home, you see all greenery. It is comfortable and private with easy beach access. The outdoor shower is great and there are plenty of bathrooms for a group. A nice array of cooking provisions are provided as well as dining in or out options.It is nice to be so close to both Harwichport and Chatham.

Great place to share with our children and grandchildren.
Loved the separate wings, family room, living room. 3 1/2 baths plus outdoor shower are so convenient. And we loved Red River Beach. Very responsive host. We would definitely rent again.

Lovely house on a quiet cul-de-sac
We enjoyed the house and it worked well for a family with young children, there was plenty of room to spread out and find a quiet spot or enjoy a family game. The yard was very nice. The location is great, in easy access to everything in Harwich. Elizabeth was very responsive to all our questions and worked us with to make the stay pleasant. While the property is accurately listed on VRBO, I do wish that I had know that I would have to sign a fairly restrictive contract before I booked the property. Elizabeth and I were able to work out a compromise that suited both of us in the end. I just think it is good to know about the need to sign a contract when you are thinking about booking a reservation.

The property is set up to accommodate two separate living spaces with plenty of bathrooms. A fun rambling home! Near enough to beach to do drop offs and pick ups with ease. Kitchen was well equipped. Meat thermometer? Yup. Birthday candles? Yup! Stay was not long enough. Perhaps we should return…..

My family and I had a wonderful stay at your home! The house was equipped with everything we needed to prepare meals and it was especially nice to have the fire pit and beach chairs available. All of my communication with the homeowner was very positive and any communication was answered very quickly. I am hoping to return to this property in the future. It was a perfect location to explore Cape Cod!

Well equipped for large family beach getaway
Great location. More than enough space for 8 adults and two toddlers. House was very clean. Amenities and accessories accurately described. Elizabeth was gracious and very accessible. Only drawback was musty odor in rooms over garage which went away as week progressed (kept on young adults about keeping garage access doors closed).

3 weeks away from home during Corona
Me, my wife and two adult children were living at home after kids were sent home from college. We were looking for a change of scenery. This house fit the bill perfectly. We were able to have significant time together and also had plenty of room for when we wanted to spread out. We did not buy any beach passes. We walked or biked to the beach several times and sometimes just dropped people off. It was a good location for traveling to different parts of the cape for day trips. Owners were very attentive and the place was clean. We very much enjoyed this trip.

My family had a wonderful time at this comfortable and well appointed home. Red river beach was very close and we were able to get there and back with ease. Had cookouts and toasted marshmallows over the fire pit. Plenty of space to spread out or be together for meals. Elizabeth the host was extremely responsive and helpful with all my questions. Definitely highly recommend!

Wonderful Family Vacation Rental on Cape
We loved our stay at Elizabeth and Dan's place. They communicated with us about important information and expectations well in advance of our stay and gave us a thoughtful welcome gift. The house was well spaced, giving privacy to all our guests while also having large communal areas for eating and playing games. We enjoyed time around the campfire and walking to the beach (a 30 minute walk but pretty easy). There are also delicious lobster rolls on the corner. We would highly recommend this place to anyone.

We stayed for a wedding in the area and the location was fantastic. Proximity to beaches and downtown Chatham was ideal. We had 10 guests in the house and there was plenty of room.

Unpretentious, user-friendly and very comfortable!
This home was most welcoming and just perfect for us. We appreciated that this home is unpretentious, user-friendly and very comfortable - that's our style! We loved how much space there was, and the fact that everyone could have their own, separate places to be when desired. The living room is huge and accommodates 10, as does the dining room (with a little squishing). The den/family room were great for smaller groups. The kitchen was very small and lacked some amenities needed for a large group, but that didn't stop us from cooking up almost all of our meals. We ate outside most nights and appreciated the big picnic table. The backyard/fire pit/BBQ/outdoor shower were great! Plenty of lawn/beach chairs... just bring your croquet and corn hole sets (maybe the home had these items somewhere - we brought our own, so we didn't look). Other than the coyotes in the distance (who serenaded us!), the neighborhood was very quiet and there's almost no car traffic.
Walking or cycling distance to several small but adequate beaches. We especially liked Red River Beach, and walked and/or had someone drop off our stuff to avoid the $20 daily parking fee. This home is close to lots of great restaurants, shopping and places to visit. We hit the National Seashore one day. Grocery stores were just 4 miles away.
If you are looking for a relaxing, quiet, comfortable place for a large group, this is the place. I would book it again!

Wonderful Cape home
We found this to be wonderfully spacious for the 9 of us with two families with children staying in each 'wing' and myself (grandmother) staying in the middle....perfect! We appreciated the outdoor table for eating every night and watching the British Baking show on the large screen TV. The kids (and a few adults) loved the foozeball in the basement. The location was perfect for us and the neighborhood is so quiet and peaceful. We have rented smaller houses in less quiet neighborhoods in the past, so we were delighted with this house. We would be happy to return next summer.

Great Place to Stay central located
My family of ten stayed at this house ranging from 14 and 20 months to two in the 80's, with every age in between. Located on a dead end road so no traffic, centrally located close to beaches, golf courses (played twice), shopping, food, and multiple events.House rooms were roomy and the amenities made staying there easy. Fire pit was a big hit, and meals for 10 in the dining room worked. Would book this again.

Great family vacation house
We had a great vacation and enjoyed the location. The house and yard are great for larger families especially. Plenty of places to be together or for groups to find a little space for themselves. Close to beach and many other activities, We didn't get all we wanted done so now need to come back! Owners very easy to contact if any issues you might have. Easy to feel at home.

Great for two families
We enjoyed our stay at the house - close to the beach - although not directly down the street - need to bike up to 28 and go a block over for the beach street, but still VERY close. We did it with our kids so we didn't pay for parking. Lots of supplies on hand that you don't need to bring - beach chairs, games, bikes, etc. Family was super nice and helpful with my questions before and during the trip. Thank you!

Great for a long weekend
This beautiful home was a great location for my wife's first visit to the Cape. There was plenty of bed space and sitting areas for guests and plenty to do in the surrounding area. I'd highly recommend.

Cyclist
What a fabulous house! It's on a quiet street south of Rt. 28, the first street past the Chatham border, so it's easy to get too. The house is quite roomy, a big living room, a den, dining room, good kitchen, very nice family room with lots of nautical charm, 2 bedrooms upstairs in the original part of the house, and two bedrooms over the garage. Plus the den can be used as a bedroom because there is a comfortable pullout couch. Great small grill in the back.
Best part of the house for me was it's location. It's about a mile to a wonderful Nantucket Sound beach, Red River Beach. You can walk or ride a bike (about 1/10 of a mile is on Rt. 28). Or you could drive about 10-12 minutes to get to some fresh water ponds (Seymour or Long Pond, both of which are partially in Harwich). Or you could drive about 15 minutes to a spectacular ocean beach in Orleans, Nauset Beach. It was all so easy!
About 1/2 mile from the house is an entrance to the Cape Cod Rail Trail, in fact I used it to ride to Nauset Beach.
As to shopping, downtown Harwichport is a 5 minute drive, and charming downtown Chatham is a 10 minute drive. Then there's a big Stop & Shop on Rt 137, a 7 to 10 minute drive. The house is just centrally located for so many activities.
Almost forgot, there are two great ice cream parlors in Harwich no more than 5 to 7 minutes away: The School House (my favorite) and Sundae School.
