Loved our time here again and will continue to visit as often as possible.

Everything was perfect! The house the beach, the weather (and it even rained), the West End Ecology Tour, the car rental agency (KSR) and the house manager Yvoungar all made this trip heaven!! The only thing they could add but I didn’t have to have are beach chairs. This was our second trip so we came prepared by packing wind blown seats for the beach!

This is an amazing property and wonderful support staff. Great communication. The location is perfect if you want a beautiful, empty beach at your doorstep. Very peaceful and quiet.
Amenities and WIFI great. The kitchen is well stocked and the grill looks new.
Dave, the property manager, was easy to work with and responded quickly to any questions. Yvounger, the local host, met us at the car rental and helped us get settled. She is a sweet person and quite helpful. All in all, a great operation.
The villa is in a gated, very safe, community. In fact, we find the people on Grand Bahama to be very friendly and kind.
We always rent a car (a must) from Brads. This is another great business to deal with. The cars are not new, but well maintained. Any issues are dealt with quickly. Driving on the island is simple compared to many other islands, as it is quite flat with mostly straight roads.
There are many great restaurants nearby, our favorite is a quick walk down the beach.
This was a most relaxing vacation. Do not hesitate to consider this villa if you are looking for a beautiful, quiet, relaxing beach vacation.

My wife and I visited this property when it was for sale a few years ago. We decided to pass at that time and stay in the US. We knew we would be back soon and try to stay here, and we did. We mutually decided that we missed the boat and should have bought this perfect house. Luckily the new owner is gracious enough to let others enjoy the house and surroundings and we will be back for sure. We did not watch one second of TV the entire week and only ate out at 2 of our favorite places, Banana Bay and Dolphin Cove...both of which we highly recommend. We will be back for sure.

Absolutely amazing home, truly was a short walk right to the beach! THe home was well, well equipped for anything we needed! so many dishes to use. The float tubes were a lifesaver as the water was a bit chilly because of the cold snap:-/ But the house was way more accommodating than expected! Large Bedrooms and everyone has private baths. Air Mattress wasn't working but plenty of extra space for the teenager on the couch!
Dave and Yvonga gave us great information for the island. Yvonga met us at the airport escorted us to the house and then escorted us to the grocery store!

If you’re looking for a quiet beautiful place to relax and enjoy time with family and friends, this is your spot. It’s rare that a rental home is even better than the pictures, but this place exceeded our expectations. Our experience with the owner was the best we’ve had, and his on-site hostess was super helpful. We’ll be back.

This is our second year staying in this beautiful home and we love it. We go to the Bahamas each year to do a community back-to-school event and last year we fell in love with this home and will book it always for our stay. The quiet area, the location, the view, the beach, the owners, and Yvonne were fantastic in all ways and we can't wait to return. The pictures here don't do the view justice it is just awesome!
Thanks for everything

The house was lovely and very well stocked. The setting was beautiful-at the edge of the beach. The large porch was a great asset. The host had been helpful before arrival and the house manager welcomed us warmly

The house and its location are absolutely amazing. Three large bedrooms each with walk-in closets and bathrooms. Large living room with comfy chairs and long dining room table. However the best part of the house is a wide porch that runs from one end of the house to another with gorgeous views of palm trees and blue ocean. We spent hours on the porch drinking coffee, reading a book in the hammock and eating meals at the outdoor table. The beach was only 50 steps from the porch and was gorgeous - - white sand, blue waters, basically deserted and perfect for long walks. Everything about the house, the beach and the location was perfect for a relaxing vacation!!

We had 4 weeks at the property and it was ideal for us. It has a great view of the sea and all that you need might need. It was very peaceful during our whole stay. Would definitely rent it again.

Let me start off by saying , from the minute we booked here, the communication was top notch- Dave provided tons of details and tips that was very useful in planning our 2 week visit there. We arranged for the home assistant- Yvounger to pick us up at the airport. I cant say enough about how amazing she is! Such a pleasant and cheerful individual—she helped us unload baggage, drove us to go get groceries and helped us again get everything in before leaving us to enjoy paradise. The location of this property is amazing. Its fairly central and a only a short walk down the beach to one of the most prettiest areas on the grand Bahamas(Banana Bay restaurant beach). The minute you walk in the home, you are greeted by the most magnificent view that pictures can’t do justice for. The beach is literally 100 feet away! When you visit through, make sure you pull up the daily freeport tide chart and time your walks in either direction down the beach as it will come up fairly far and require you to navigate around it- either in the bush or through the water. However, this was never really a problem for us. Be mindful that the beach area directly behind the house is slightly rocky- but if u go down a bit to the right, there are nice areas to enter ocean and enjoy nice powdery sand beneath your feet. If you really want an experience, travel a short distance to your left- about a 10 minute walk to the beach where the Banana Bay restaurant is located— we did this daily and loved it!! During low tide you can walk so far out that you literally feel like your in the middle of the ocean! The area behind the house itself provides a nice snorkeling spot if your in to that- but paradise cove is thee place to truly snorkel. it’s about a 25 minute drive away, recommend car rental as transportation options are minimal! In general, we felt a car rental was a must! You would be very limited if not, especially if you want to go out to eat, go to the amazing fish fry, gold beach and the National park, etc. Some must things to do: National park/Gold Rock beach, Wednesday night fish fry( outriggers), the market when all the vendors are there( time this when the cruise ships port as a-lot more vendors will be out selling their stuff ), stone crab restaurant for amazing seafood and if you get your fill on seafood- Cappuccinos for Italian is awesome!! House is well stocked and clean. We had one small issue, but was promptly and reasonably addressed! Loved it!

We have a great time from start to finish. Host advice before the trip was spot on and Mrs. Wood’s welcome was great. My husband asked if I knew her, because she welcomed me like we were family coming for a visit. No words for the view and as many has said the pictures online doesn’t give it justice. There was a full moon and the pictures were outstanding. The entire place was beautiful and easy to find. Banana Bay restaurant was awesome and the beach in front of it was clam with a sand bar to walk on. We had fun chasing the fish as they swam around us. The house had everything we needed and more. It was a quite relaxing place and we can’t wait to return.

Wonderful and Relaxing Vacation Location
The Fortune Cay area of Grand Bahama is the perfect place for a peaceful and beautiful beach vacation. The property manager, Dave was very responsive to our questions during booking and sent us email reminders about COVID guidelines, getting through customs and the check-in process. Yvounger met us at the car rental shop, took us to the house, waited patiently while we enjoyed the amazing view and lead us to the closest grocery store. Be sure to ask her about her guava doff dessert! Delicious!
The house was very clean and plenty spacious for our family of four. It is only 40 yards from the beach via a well-maintained walking path and not close to any resorts, so it is never crowded. There are two reefs just off shore with beautiful fish, rays and barracuda to find and watch.
We highly recommend walking the beach to Banana Bay for lunch and the Stoned Crab for dinner, which is a 7 minute drive from the house. Also consider swimming with dolphins at Unexso that is down the street from Stoned Crab. It was a highlight of our trip!

Great stay
Magical place---the views are incredible. If you are intimidated at all about driving on the left side of the road do not be. The traffic was not bad at all, and I highly recommend a car to fully enjoy your trip. The Covid requirements coming in were a lot, so I recommend staying at least 5-6 nights to make it worth while.

Wonderful place on the beach
This wonderful place surpassed all expectations. From booking Dave, the house manager, was very helpful. A lovely lady called Yvounger met us at the airport and looked after us during our stay, and the property itself was spacious, well furnished and, best of all, on the beach. Having breakfast on the balcony every morning in the sunshine, with a view of the sea, was very special indeed.

Paradise
This property features 3 bedrooms each with walk in closets and bathrooms. The varandah which faces the ocean has a tremendous view and great for lounging, exercising and eating. I particularly enjoyed the hammock. The well manicured path leads to the ocean which allows for a great walk in both directions. Banana bay restaurant is close by for your dining pleasure. Overall a fantastic place to stay if you like peace and quiet.

We had the beach to ourselves every day
I stayed here with my 2 sons (22 and 17). We loved the house and location. The house is lovely and very welcoming. The owners have thought of everything. My younger son spent hours swaying in the hammock on the porch while I sat and listened to the waves. My older son enjoyed morning runs on the beach. The neighborhood homes are within view but not so close that you feel cramped. Honestly we only saw other people a few times walking on the paths to the beach. WE stayed in late July and the cruise ships weren't up and running yet. This contributed to the quiet but also several activities were closed down. That was ok with us though - we were looking for laid back, peaceful days. There was never anyone else on the beach at the same time as us. Loved Banana Bay restaurant. We spent an afternoon at Lucaya National Park - again did not see a single soul the entire time. Gold Rock Beach there is lovely. The highlight of our trip was a customized, all-day ecology boat trip with Keith Cooper of West End Ecology Tours. We fished (caught our lunch), snorkeled a small shipwreck and then spent the afternoon at Sandy Cay with the stingrays, lemon sharks and black tip sharks. My boys absolutely loved this activity. Our local hostess Yuvonger is a gem as well. If you are looking at this property, you won't be sorry!

Beautiful Property, People and Location
We had a great stay at this property! The home is honestly much better than the pictures represent, it is a 30 second walk to a great beach and snorkeling area, and the property managers are extremely responsive and kind.
This is one of the best experiences we’ve renting a property a s would definitely consider coming back!

The Blue Inn Villa was just perfect for our party of three couples, with a spacious bedroom and bath for each. The villa had plenty of room to relax indoors and outdoors and was so convenient to the beachfront. Just a short walk and we were there; and what a gorgeous view from the veranda. Conveniently located, our trips to the market or to one of the great restaurants was easy to reach. The property is well manicured and very private and quiet. Just what we were looking for. We've stayed at other properties found on the internet, but unlike some, this property was exactly what it claimed to be. The photos were right on. No disappointments there. Our contact person was fantastic. She was just a phone call away with answers and suggestions for our inquiries. We would highly recommend this property to anyone who is looking for a relaxing, spacious, convenient place with easy access to the beach. J. Reeves, Las Cruces, New Mexico

Great week in the Bahamas
Our family stayed for a week in early June--parents and three kids 11 and up. The house was as advertised and in an ideal location on the beach. The view is exactly as it appears on the website, except better in person. We usually had the beach to ourselves for long periods of time, except for the occasional people taking walks up and down the beach. The water was clear, warm, and good for swimming. As others have noted, there are several reefs just to the left of the house, pretty close to shore, that were fun to snorkel around. There are even several areas in the water to the left that are completely free of rocks for those with littler kids. We loved to sit on the porch and had dinner there most nights, looking out over the water. The outdoor shower was great for rinsing off the sand. The house was exceptionally clean when we arrived, and had pretty much everything you could ask for: lots of bath towels, beach towels, pillows, etc. The kitchen was well-stocked with plenty of cutlery, dishes, glassware, pots and pans, etc. The laundry was a big plus too, especially if you are there for a week. Wi-fi worked great too. Did not watch TV at all the whole time, but there is a big screen in the living room.
Most importantly, Dave (who manages the house for the owner) was exceptionally helpful from booking through the stay. He answered all of my questions, and was honest and transparent about everything. He kept in touch with emails in the weeks before the trip, with suggestions and information about check-in, policies, activities, and more. Like others, we were met at the airport by Julie, who escorted us to the house, showed us around, and then took us on a brief tour of the area and showed us where the grocery store was. We were looking for a relaxing vacation, and so did not utilize her services or insights as much as some others seem to have, but she was responsive to the few questions we had and always friendly.
In summary, the house is great, the location is ideal, and all of my interactions with Dave were positive and professional. If you are looking for a quality home right on the beach and a relaxing vacation, this is a great choice.

Beach getaway
We stayed at this property for a couple weeks in March. The place was very clean and well furnished when we arrived. Beach is only 100ft away, very quiet beach and friendly. We enjoyed the walk down to the beach bar. Great for kids and families. We will be back again next year.

I would just like to say this house is incredible
This is my third stay at this property and I just have to say it is well equipped, very clean and comfortable you need not go anywhere everything you need is right there. I spent most of my time in the hammock on the back porch, or I would make a cup of coffee and go out and watch the sunrise every morning ,stunning views very relaxed. It has everything you need to be energetic or everything you need to lay back and unplug and relax and that's what I do when I go there. This house is a home away from home with all the amenities without all the chores truly lovely place to be thank you for a truly wonderful time away

Perfect place in paradise
The Blue Inn Villa at Fortune Cay was absolutely perfect for us. We wanted a quiet, serene place to relax, read and catch up with the family and could have imagined a better place. Marc and Lydia’s home is beautiful. The views are incredible. The location is perfect. Brad’s Car Rental was great and Dave K and Ms Woods were awesome in helping us navigate the process from inquiry to check-out. The house has three bedrooms, each with an en suite. The open floor plan allows us to enjoy dinner together each evening. The porch was perfect for morning coffee, the hammock was great for an afternoon nap.
The beach is only steps off of the porch, Banana Bay restaurant is a short walk down the beach. The sunrises every morning were breathtaking and the entire experience was hands down. This is not the place for you if you are looking for hustle, bustle and crazy nightlife (although you can pop down to Taino Beach or Port Lucaya Marketplace for shopping, a taste of authentic local food and live music).
Overall, we could not be happier with our choose to stay here and are grateful to owners, Marc and Lydia, for opening their beautiful home to us. We highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a quiet, secluded beach retreat. #LovedIt!

Paradise Perfection
We cannot praise the beauty of this home on the beach enough! There was nothing we could have wished for that was missing. Dave was a dream to deal with in setting up the reservation and providing super information on things to do and places to eat in Freeport. The gem of the property though was Yvonga, who met us at the airport, gave a quick tour of the island, went to the market with us, and even agreed to cook us a couple of dinners. She's not only a super cook, her personality would brighten anyone's day. We (my daughter and her twin 8 year old sons) really didn't want to leave and hope another vacation will find us at this marvelous property.

WOW - That view!!! 11.July through 10.Aug.2017
What a view to wake up to everyday! There were 3 couples in our group for 30 nights. The villa is well equipped and spacious with more than enough towels, linens, dishes, glasses etc, etc. The photos really do not do it justice. We rent villas on a regular basis mainly in Florida and Grand Bahama, and the Blue Inn Villa has to be given a 5 stars from me as its location and views are worth it!!
Dave was very helpful during the booking phase and answered all our questions promptly. When we arrived Julie met us at the airport to show us to the villa. Julie & Yvonger were at hand during our stay and were very helpful.
I would recommend the Blue Inn Villa for your accommodation on Grand Bahama Island!!

Was great, except for the unpaid guests (spoiler alert- house had mice)
House would have been a 5 if not for the mice. Yes, mice (plural). The Good: House is really beautiful.Kitchen has everything you'll need. Beds are comfortable, furniture is cozy.View is tremendous. There is a reef not 30 ft. from the shore. Great snorkeling. Yvounger was great to work with-my kids (2 girls 17&15 and boy 11) liked her instantly. She was distraught over rodent issue. Dave was nice to work with prior to visit & even after when we disagreed on refund. Unfortunately, he had to communicate on behalf of an owner who only communicated thru Dave. I found the whole situation bizarre. The Bad- the reality of my "relaxing beach vacation" came into focus on the 2nd night when my daughters were awakened to a mouse IN THEIR BED. I have video of this. The next day Yvounger brought glue traps. The next night we had 2 mice run into the living room. We managed to trap and kill both. If you're counting, that is 3. At this point my wife is beside herself and each night we had to put towels under each door threshold and hope more didn't get into our beds. Thursday we awoke to one in my sons room. Son slept with parents for remainder of trip (romantic right?). All in all I trapped and disposed of 4 mice. They had an exterminator come out mid week who did very little. Our food remained in sealed bags and off counters the entire week. Everyday was filled with taking inventory each time you walked in a room. My stress level was high the entire trip. Wife's was off the charts. I do believe this was an isolated incident but the fact of the matter is my trip was filled with rodents and not what i expected or paid for. Result: I was provided a gift card for $200 to be used only at the big resort on the island. 3/4 of resort is closed and all but one restaurant so was unusable and i returned it. They offered to put us in a hotel on Thurs but w/ 3 kids and $300 of groceries this was just not feasible. Owner reimbursed me $500 and offered another $500 only after i had to convince them that i wasn't "fine" with what happened. Can you imagine having to argue this point? Also, it was contingent only AFTER a positive review. I told them i was uncomfortable with this and got an email reply from David on owners response-"I was instructed to send you nothing". I was incredibly gracious and kind during the entire experience. I did not get equal kindness or graciousness in return. Just something you should consider as you choose your vacation destination.

Amazing week in Freeport!
We just returned home from an amazing week in Freeport! From start to finish, our experience was wonderful. Dave contacted us several times in advance of our trip to provide various information on the island, excursions, car rentals, etc. When our flight from Atlanta was canceled, preventing us from arriving as planned, Dave offered for us to extend our trip so we didn't miss any time. When we were unable to do that (jobs always get in the way), he offered a refund for the night we missed. Despite the screwy travel, Yvounger was right at the airport to greet us. She took us to our rental car and then to the house. As the grocery store was already closed when we arrived, Yvounger took us to a local convenient store so we could get the necessities for the night. She offered to show us the island but the kids were so anxious to hit the beach, we told her we would figure it out. Whatever questions we had, both Yvounger and Dave were readily available to answer.
The home is beautiful and LITERALLY, steps from the beach. We are a family of 5, with 3 kids ages 11 and 7 (twins). The home more than accommodated us. We woke each morning to the sound of waves and quickly made coffee and headed to the porch. Our son spent hours in the hammock, while our girls enjoyed searching for shells and lizards around the grounds.
The beach is so close to the house which, with kids, is priceless. We could run them right up to the house for forgotten goggles or bathroom trips. So easy! The beach itself is beautiful and really very private. People walk by occasionally as they make their way to Banana Bay but that was it. We had the beach to ourselves!
The one thing we did note during our trip, and it has nothing to do with the house at all, but Freeport in general, is that the last hurricane did a number on the island. The Port Lucaya Marketplace appears to have sustained a good bit of damage and some businesses and restaurants have not reopened as yet. There are so many dining options that it wasn't really an issue. Additionally, some of the excursions haven't resumed operations (snorkeling, etc). If you are planning a trip, I would just be sure to check on what is up and running! Our kids are happy on the beach so it didn't bother us at all but worth a mention.
Thanks for a great week!!

Seriously, best trip ever!
This property was more than we ever expected!
First off, Dave Kimbell did a great job of answering all of our questions prior to our trip to the Bahamas and removing any fears we had of booking this trip, so Thanks Dave!
When we finally arrived in the Bahamas, Yvounger (she's awesome!) met us at the airport, took us to the house, grocery store (stayed there and shopped with us), and various other places that we were interested in knowing the location and provided invaluable information about the area. Without her knowledge, this trip would not have been as wonderful as it turned out to be. When she left us at the house, I was confident that we would be able to make our way around the island and see the sights. Thank you Yvounger!
The house is absolutely perfect. We had 5 of us in our group which included the following: a 18 year old boy, a 16 year old boy, myself female 49 and my parents 70 & 74. We each had our own room, spent most of our time on the beautiful (unbelievable!) beaches shelling and snorkeling the reef (saw many colorful fish, coral, conch and star fish) right out the back door! We didn't think that the shelling would be as fantastic as it was, which really pleased my Mom:) These things alone made our trip the best ever! It was so peaceful, quiet, relaxing and rejuvenating! Banana Bay restaurant, a 10 minute walk down the beach was a perfect location with good food and cocktails, we pretty much stopped there everyday. We went into Port Lucaya a few times for the food, shopping and entertainment, which was nice. It has a variety of restaurants to choose from and live entertainment. Unfortunately, since the hurricane the Casino has yet to reopen, but we probably wouldn't have gone anyways as we are not gamblers, so was a non-issue for use.
We also went to the Garden of the Groves (2 minute drive from Villa), they have a cafe there with talking birds, crazy looking ducks and waterfalls in a beautiful setting. The food is the best we had while on the island and the servers are fantastic! After you go the first time and pay the fee to walk through the garden, subsequent times you can use the "member gate" and just go to the cafe and eat without paying the entry fee to the Garden. Lucaya National Park (seriously Golden Rock Beach, has to be the most beautiful beach in the world!), Jet Skiing at Taino Beach and the Taino Beach Wednesday Fish Fry.
Seriously, best trip ever!

This was our second year and we loved it.
Grand Bahamas Island is not for those looking for lots to do and late night partying! But if you want to relax, enjoy a great house and a fabulous beach, this is the place! Great little bar/restaurant just down the beach and a couple of good restaurants 10 minutes away! Love the place.

Steps From The Sand!
My husband and I spent a wonderful week at the Blue Inn Villa. Dave was very helpful with the reservations and island information. Yvonnger meet us at the airport, took us to the grocery store and showed us around the house. Since we came in off a red eye flight, she prepared some food for us. Lobster, crab salad, macaroni and cheese, green salad, corn on the cob, rum cake and rolls!!! Fantastic and we ate on it for days. Even though the island is still recovering from the hurricane in October, 2016, we had a great time exploring the National Park and Gold Rock Beach, Lucayan market, farmer's market, perfume factory and some wonderful restaurants. We enjoyed the Flying Fish, Churchills and Cappuccinos. And of course the porch, beach and the house....all amazing! Walking to Banana Bay for drinks and lunch is a must! Beautiful home, beautiful beach is worth 5 stars!!!!
