Although this is an absolutely beautiful property, the convenient location does have a downside if you are renting in the summer. Road noise from the highway below prevented us from taking advantage of the two beautiful decks and you will hear traffic when the windows are open. The property is conveniently located just a short drive from the town of Breck and the lifts. The host is responsive and the house is well maintained. We enjoyed our stay with extended family and it was very comfortable. Note that the owner has locked off the MBR closet and there is no dresser. We lived out of our suitcases for five days. Provided toiletries were very nice, but you will need to bring your own if your stay is more than 2-3 days. There is room for one car in the garage and at least two more in the driveway. There are several hiking trails close to the house.

This lodge is absolutely gorgeous! The amenities are great, ambiance is pristine and an all around excellent stay. This lodge is close to main street, 2 miles from the grocery store and with picturesque views. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!

We had a wonderful stay at the Big Timber Lodge and found that it easily accommodated our family of 11 ranging in age from 9 to retirement age. We used the kitchen extensively and found all the appliances and utensils necessary to feed our large family. The views from the main level balcony and lower level terrace were beautiful! And we enjoyed having the yard visited by a fox! Would recommend this property to any other family or group!

The Big Timber Lodge in the Highlands neighborhood in Breckinridge, Colorado was a beautiful property which easily accommodated our family of 11, ranging in age from 9 to retirement age. There is a large master bedroom with en-suite bathroom on the main floor with the other 4 bedrooms on the lower level, which worked out great for our family. The kitchen had all the appliances and utensils needed to cook for a large family, including a grill on the large main level balcony. We found many activities in Breckinridge to accommodate all ages. We had a great time on our mountain vacation at Big Timber Lodge.

Enjoyed our stay here! Beautiful home and scenery so close to town. Had everything we needed. Lots of space and we loved the downstairs with the poker table and shuffle board game. Hot tub was perfect after a long day of skiing and shopping. Highly recommended!

This is a beautiful property in a lovely neighborhood very close to town and the slopes. All that said I can not give it a great rating due to unfortunate missteps that were easily avoided. Instructions on the operation of the house were limited (ie TV/streaming). Broken appliances (ie grill) never was told to us or fixed. Garage door openers that we were given “strict” instructions on were never provided (bigger issue due to the amount of snow we encountered) Trash receptacles without liners.
This list may seem minor but this is billed as a “premium property “ and thus one’s expectations are high. We encountered a very “unfriendly “ inspector upon our arrival that could have explained some of the problems at that time. As it is I spoke with the local management company and was very pleased with Cade who was cordial, very helpful and addressed our needs as well as possible. This property has the potential to be 5 star but in my opinion is a 3

Excellent location and amenities! Less than two miles from the gondola and down town. Extremely clean home and well stocked kitchen. Cutely decorated for the cabin in the mountains with excellent views of the ski runs out back. Hot tub was a nice way to spend the afternoons after a few ski runs. Will definitely stay here again! Property manager very responsive to our need of a few extra hot tub towels.

We had extended family with us and this home was just perfect. So many wonderful spaces inside and out. Convenient to Main Street Breckenridge but has the feel of being up in the mountains. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

We were able to reserve this cabin on short notice for a family wedding. The home was beautiful, quiet, and relaxing. Our party had 7 members and everyone had their own space. Thouroughly enjoyed the proximity to town, as well as the hot tub and decks with spectacular views. Plus, being a fly fisherman, my son and I enjoyed the proximity to the river. Will definitely put this one on the "must return" list.

We had a great stay here! There was more than enough room for the 10 of us, and even an extra bedroom and bathroom than the listing stated. The place was very clean and cozy. We spent the mornings on the deck and had a great time. We would definitely come back!

This cabin was beautiful and very clean. It was very spacious and accommodated our two families with ease. Loved to sit on the balconies to enjoy the mountains.

We loved everything! I stayed there with my two teenage boys. The cabin was awesome, views were great. I liked using the hottub in the evening. The heated floors were an added bonus as well as how fast the water heated up. It is very close to town but you don't feel like you are.
I think they had everything you could possibly need and then some besides foil, plastic wrap, zip lock baggies and maybe some basic seasonings. There was salt but no pepper. It was a great stay and we would stay again.

Amazing property and time for our family. This was our second time staying at the property and it was a great stay. It had the space and amenities our family was looking for and will probably not be the last time we stay there. Great house and location! Very helpful and polite. We called about having some internet issues our first day and the help we received was great. Really appreciate how easy the process was.

The home is absolutely beautiful. The views from the main room are breathtaking. The kitchen had ample supplies to cook and prepare meals. The hot tub works, and was a welcome site after a day on the hills. The beds were comfortable, and the TVs were good sized for sporting events. The wi-fi speed is below average, but everything else was terrific, including the Christmas decorations. We would recommend this home to our friends and family, and certainly plan on staying there again. The customer service was fine - we didn't have any issues, so everything worked according to contract.

Big Timber Lodge was fabulous. The house was very nicely kept and clean with plenty of room for our party of 10 to spread out and yet gather together for meals and games. The master bedroom suite, the fireplace, the back deck and the hot tub were especially wonderful. Thank you for a great week! We had a fabulous stay at Big Timber Lodge! Beautiful! The only thing I would recommend is that you inform renters how radiant heat works and that it takes many hours for the house to warm up. Upstairs was not an issue, but basement level, where 3 of the bedrooms were located, took many hours to warm up. We live in Alabama and was not familiar with radiant heat. Whenever I had questions about my reservation or the property, the team responded immediately.

Breckinridge peak 8 parking lot was only around a 5 minute drive which worked out perfectly. There were also plenty of spots to park in the driveway. Main Street was a quick Uber away too. Planning on rebooking this location in the future it was great!! The team was great we got all of the information early and didn’t need to contact for anything. Very smooth sailing!

Another great stay in the highlands
We have stayed multiple times in the Highland neighborhood and this was our second stay in this property. Overall - it's a great property in a great location for a great price. There were a few small items that could have been better, but nothing to knock a star off for. Make sure you have awd/4wd if coming in the winter!

This is a lovely 5 star property. Very close to town in a nice, quiet neighborhood. Very close proximity to hiking and biking trails. The wildflowers were in beautiful bloom during the stay! One day, a moose showed up and that was a thrill to see. We would certainly rent this home again in the future. The reservation process was easy and all paperwork was clear and understandable. We had to phone to make a small adjustment to the number of people on the reservation and the call was handled efficiently and in a very positive manner.

Was a beautiful home , with great views. House was in perfect condition, and stocked with all the necessities. The deck was a great place to enjoy the Rockies, road noise is definitely prominent. Wish it was a bit further from the highway.

The second living area was a plus so we could divide up for different activities. Views are phenomenal! The neighborhood is amazing, too! The team was very responsive whenever we had a question.

Well appointed home with beautiful views. Very clean with more than enough space for our party of 7. Fabulous kitchen with high-end appliances and very well stocked for any culinary needs. Main living area and deck have plenty of room for all with nice, comfortable furniture. Master suite was great, with a spacious bathroom. Downstairs bedrooms were large and worked well for adult couples. The downstairs living space was great for young adults to hang out in, with easy access to the back patio and hot tub. The garage is huge, and was easy to access and park our SUV in. We also enjoyed the close proximity to trails for hiking or just walking into town. Overall, this is a stunning log home that is comfortable and well-designed. We look forward to returning. We were very pleased with the team
