Our impression of the property was mostly favorable. Situations out of control for the owner was that there was loud construction next next door all day long. The lawn people came early (07:45). Other concerns were the crumbs and some kind of over-the-counter gel pill under the red bookcase in the kitchen that the dogs almost ate. Nether washer or dryer were in working condition. The washer did get our clothes wet so we wrung them out and hung them off the deck to dry. We always come to Rangely to hike and had a lovely time doing just that! And the sunset from the back deck was amazing!!!

We rented Eagles Ledge to view the Solar Eclipse on 4/8/24. We were not disappointed! The home has a beautiful view of the western sky (think sunsets!), a large deck, and we found camping chairs in the cellar. The home itself was very clean, and wifi was strong. I was able to remote into work for a few long conference calls, and never dropped a moment. The beds and pillows were comfortable, and the indoor temperature was pleasant. Pantry was well stocked, and everything we needed was provided. We have visited the Rangeley area every year for 30+ years. We will definitely rent this location again.

Great little place, no issues for 3 of us. Stove has some idiosyncrasies but we were able to cook meals just fine. A wood cutting board would be a great addition. Slept well, beautiful views and would gladly go back

Loved the cabin, as it was very accommodating and cozy. Great view and amenities. The only drawback was the pitched, dirt driveway. Maybe it tricky to get out in a snowstorm but gladly there were a few shovels provided that we were able to use to shovel the snow and go skiing. I would recommend it to a friend and our representative at Morton & Furbish Vacation Rentals was very nice and accommodating.

Lovely cabin with an amazing view. Great privacy for relaxation. Close enough to Saddleback to make a quick trip up to catch first chair. Enjoyed a fun, vacation week watching the sunset over the lake and reading with a view.
4.7
Only the view was good. Location is within hearing distance of busy Rte. 4. There was construction going on next door and across the street. Home is Very cramped w/lots of tchotchkes. Bed is a full and very tight BR space. I could list Many other details of things that could be improved upon.

Place was wonderful!

a relaxing cabin with, breathtaking views. Property management attentive to communications. Quite, cozy, and perfect. Far enough away from town, but close enough to a grocery store. A lot of nature viewing.

Beautiful view! Perfect size for our family of five. Will definitely plan to stay here again!

A beautiful, quiet place. Enjoyed our 3 night's stay.

We enjoyed our stay. The location has a beautiful very. We had a full moon that was stunning over the lake. The house was well stocked and it was perfect for 3 people. We would definitely return.
4.7
Great views of Rangeley Lake from Eagles Ledge. We did see one Eagle during our stay and deer on the side lawn area. Relaxing time and small hikes with our Golden's.
4.7
Morton and Furbish was great as always but the property did not meet our expectations. It was clean and tidy but could use some general upkeep and improvements. The stove and oven hardly worked, bathroom faucet was loose, some windows were missing screens, the couch and downstairs bed were very uncomfortable (couch is peeling and bed was hard and very loud while trying to sleep.) the deck was falling away from the house and very angled away, boards were rough and rotting. Positives were the amazing view, the cute coffee bar, convenient location and allowing pets. The association dock/swimming area is close by and very nice. Favorite places to go in Rangeley include the Corner Bar (awesome cocktails and food) and the Pickford Pub has the best food in the Rangeley area. Moose alley is a must stop for breakfast as is classic provisions. We will definitely be back and rent from Morton and Furbish but not the cabin.

Property was just what we needed. We stayed with our 13 year old daughter and dog and it was just the right size. Stove could be slightly better but all in all we would definitely stay again and would absolutely recommend

Great views and open area communal area lounging. Close to downtown Rangley and dog friendly. Had an amazing time and will likely go back.

Eagle's Nest has a spectacular view of Rangeley Lake! Sunsets over the lake in March were amazing. Very peaceful, private location. Well-equipped cabin. Only issue was we came during "mud" season when the unpaved road to the cabin was soft and somewhat treacherous in places. Bring your truck or SUV!

Excellent communication with the operator, quick replies to inquiries. The property is comfortable, clean and simple.
The stove lacks some cooking power, but still sufficed for our group.
4.7
Great location. No hot water in the shower on arrival but the management company was very responsive and got that taken care of quickly. The kitchen was a little lacking; tiny, and one bad burner so not ideal for making a full meal but we got by. Overall very satisfactory.

"Wow!". I believe that pretty much summarizes our experience in the cabin. The staff was incredibly accommodating, as we were running late and were a pleasure to talk to. As soon as we walked into the cabin we knew we'd be back. The views were amazing. The sunsets were unreal. There are plenty of activities available close by (we hiked & kayaked the lake), and local restaurants with excellent food. But the views from the deck.... WOW! We'll be coming back for sure.

Beautiful location overlooking the lake. Endless changing cloud formations and beautiful sunsets. House is cozy and well equipped. The living room is comfortable with nice leather furnishings. Dining area comfortably seats four. Galley kitchen is adequate but the fridge is really small. Stove is a standard 4 burner 24 inch range. Plenty of utensils and cookware. The deck is awesome, with plenty of seating and a small two burner gas grill. Upstairs there is a big loft with three beds and a nice desk. The master bedroom is small but comfortable.
The lake access is not really walking distance, but a 5 min drive away. There isn’t really a beach, but it’s not bad for swimming or launching boats.
Ask about boat rental- you can arrange to have kayaks, canoes or paddle boards dropped off at the lake access.

Wonderful place to see the sunset off the deck. Lots of windows to let in the afternoon sun (not all with curtains), so can get hot.

Friendly Maine town with a gorgeous big lake.
This house has an amazing view and is located out of the way but close to everything. Would come again in a heartbeat.
Very comfortable space. Few drawbacks—spots on the linens, one non-functional burner on the range, holes in almost all the screens, though most very small, no dish detergent, minimal hand soap and no shower gel, beds in the loft should be comfier (noticed plywood boards, not slats, beneath the mattress I think to buy some more time), several lights were out (ample sunlight during the day though!). If those things were improved this would be one of the best finds around.

Million dollar view
I will be coming back.
The Eagles Nest has a million dollar view and comfy surroundings. Located on a not yet fully developed hillside, it is secluded enough to be quiet--I am a writer and spent most of my time inside typing way--but close enough for all sorts of outdoor activities and for meals out, even during COVID. The townspeople were super nice which was reassuring for me as a Black woman traveling in Maine. The house isn't perfect--if you need a gourmet kitchen or fancy bathroom, it isn't for you; you will need to get last minute toiletries yourself, but the supermarket is a 5 minute drive; the beds in the loft could be cushier and you may need more fans on those hotter days since the house is mostly windows--but it offers so much peace of mind and awe at Rangeley Lake that you will be looking at your calendar trying to figure out when you can return. Just like me.

Beautiful view, cozy cabin
This cabin perched on the hillside has a truly amazing view over the lake with a big deck, and the afternoon sun just streams in the main part of the house. We were comfortable, everything was easy and the cabin had everything we needed. We were about 15-20 minutes to Saddleback. Morton and Furbish were very easy to work with.

Eagles Ledge
This was a lovely home with an absolutely fantastic view (only the fact that it didn't have a stove/fireplace and that the kitchen was pretty tiny made me deduct a star). I would DEFINITELY recommend it and will hope to stay again in the future.
Morton and Furbish staff were so very helpful throughout our stay, very quick to respond to questions/concerns and provided access to Saddleback at a discount rate. Thank you!
