Enjoyed our stay immensely. Dogwood was clean, well stocked, and well maintained with plenty of room to spread out. The hot tub and community pool were enjoyed. Great place for a stay!

We loved our stay. Great location, beautiful cabin. Easy to deal with office staff. Nice and close to lots of trails. Couldn't have been better.

The cabin was incredible! It was handicap accessible so, my parents were able to join us on the trip. We spent a lot of time in the hot tub, made a fire in the fireplace and had a movie night with the dvds provides. The kids loved the games and bunkbed in the basement. We enjoyed sitting on the porch swing and watching the wide variety of birds in the area. The only downside was that my father who uses a walker was unable to take walks with us because of the gravel roads.

Allowed us to bring our two pets with us. We loved the fire place. We brought lots of good dry fire wood and burned it every day all day long. It drafted very good for a open fire place no smoke in cabin. Grandchildren loved the arcade game. Would come back.

We’re an extended family of 10 with 2 dogs. Had a wonderful time New Year’s weekend. The house was super clean and comfortable. Plenty of room for all of us to be hanging out on the main floor. Cooking, playing games, puzzles, reading & watching TV. Great location - close to all the good hiking trails and coffee shop at end of road. Small note: main floor bathroom door sticks - several of us kept getting stuck inside and couldn’t get out without someone opening the door from the outside.

The property was exactly as advertised! Check-in and check-out was very easy. Couldn’t have been more pleased!

Had group of 10. One person wheelchair disability. It was nice to find this lodge with ramp. Just beware the ramp was somewhat steep. Very nice fire pit was close to cabin and not downhill. We felt kitchen lacked pots for large group cooking. Very nice lodge and location . would book again!

Plenty of space! Nice amenities for every age! Comfortable living space! Overall, this place was extremely enjoyable and not far from the state park!

Nice cabin had everything we needed. Close to shops and restaurants and Hiking trails. The only complaint the cabin had a bad odor to it expecially in the basement . It smelled of sewer and sweat.

The kids had a blast with the video game and fooseball table. The hot tub was a hit for everyone, the pool too. Great place to relax after hiking all day.

We enjoyed a short extended family vacation in this cabin and there were 11 of us and our dog! We all enjoyed the cabin with plenty to do for our kids age 4-11. Lots to do very close to the cabin.

It was very secluded with sounds of nature

My family was very happy with the property and we enjoyed our stay. We would be happy to stay there again!

Fantastic cabin for family reunion stay. The 12 of us had ample room to stay and play, cook and fire pit together. It was also a great location to head into town for groceries, or to the coffee shop and Hocking Hills beyond. Don’t forget to enjoy the Chalets’ pool, very refreshing after a hike at Old Man’s Cave.

This property is wonderful! My family stayed there for my mom's birthday and it was perfect for our needs. My dad has difficulty getting around, so the first floor master bedroom and grab bars in the bathroom were perfect for him. We cooked every meal in the kitchen. There are great areas for socializing- the front porch, back porch, living room, and around the fire pit. I had a question, and management was responsive. And we thoroughly enjoyed the hot tub. I highly recommend this place!

It was the perfect cabin for 2 adults and 4 kids. Boys stayed downstairs and girls upstairs. Adults on main floor. We all had our own bathrooms and the grounds were beautiful. Nice location. Very easy to communicate with host company. Would highly recommend!

This property was even better then advertised and the family completely enjoyed our stay.

The cabin was the ideal peaceful cabin. All needed items were present. Fireplace worked well and the centralize heating functioned well .cabin neat and clean. Bathrooms on all 3 floors,

Chalet was as described… clean, well equipped, good location! Loved the fire place, hot tub, fire pit, covered porch and games in basement. Stocked with towels, soaps, garbage bags, dishes, linens and misc items. Enough room for 12 to gather and enjoy!!

We enjoyed out stay here for a girl's getaway. The cabin was great! We enjoyed having a fire in the fireplace and in the fire pit outside. The setting was perfect, surrounded by woods. The hot tub was large and heated when we arrived. Just down the street was a nice coffee shop.

Cabin was very nice, beds were comfortable, and cabin was conveniently located.

Very nice cabin. Game room on lower level a plus for kids. Very clean. Very nice porches with large tables. Needed a few more large kitchen items (large pot and large bowl). Ice maker and front right burner on stove didn’t work.

Stay was great. Place was clean and big enough for 6 of us to each have own bed. Only problem was garbage piling up. Was told maintenance was to come every other day to grab but when they did it was only to check and refill the rodent traps and not garbage. Other than that, it was a great place.

Everything was in working order. At was clean. Close to town, but wooded. 2 queen beds downstairs would have worked better, than the bunk beds, or build bunkbeds against the wall with steps up to the top one. Just a suggestion. Thank you.

Overall we had a good experience. There was no checkout instructions which made me nervous I was going to be charged for something. It’s also been roughly a month and I haven’t heard from the company so I fear charges could still be pending on my account because again there is no checkout or follow up

Our schedules freed up somewhat unexpectedly so we booked a last minute stay at Dogwood. We enjoyed the hot tub and the fire pit, and the cabin was fantastic. My 15 year old son and a couple of his buddies enjoyed hanging out in the basement. Lake Logan was super convenient and all the attractions of Hocking Hills were close by. Thanks for helping us enjoy a wonderful family weekend.

This is an excellent property. It was close to everything; yet it felt as if you were in the middle of nowhere.

What a great relaxing Mother’s Day getaway! The cabin was exactly as shown in the pictures. We had plenty of space for everyone. There is only a small park-like charcoal grill but I knew that beforehand. So I bought a cooking grate for over the fire pit. It worked out great except Friday night when it rained. A nice gas grill would be a wonderful addition. Like others had mentioned, the upstairs bathroom being inside one of the rooms made for a slight inconvenience for the couple staying in the other bedroom. They had to come downstairs to use the bathroom on the main floor. But it wasn’t too much of a bother. The only real disappointment was that the hot tub would not get “hot”. The highest temperature it reached was 97 degrees even after carefully following the instructions for proper use and heating of the hot tub. If there is a trick to heating this hot tub, additional instructions would be nice. Overall we had a great weekend and will likely use this cabin again. I highly recommend a hike through old mans cave while you’re there. It is a beautiful area.

The house was very clean. Luxurious towels. House was described as accessible. We had an 84 year old man who was in a wheelchair. There was a ramp into the house and a ground floor bed and bath. There were plenty of grab bars in the bathroom, but it was a tub--not a shower. It was not possible to get someone who does not walk into this tub. Also, while the bed was comfortable, it was so high he had to be lifted in. Definitely a drawback when advertised as accessible.

Overall, we enjoyed our stay at the Dogwood but there were some negative experiences. The location was perfect for access to hiking as well as driving into Logan for mini golf, ice cream, and Mingo park. We utilized the grill and firepit several times, and children and adults all enjoyed the arcade games and foosball table. While we did enjoy our stay, there were a couple of downsides. First, the floors appeared to have been swept but not actually cleaned recently, our socks were black almost immediately. Second, after being in the hot tub with our children we noticed how disgusting it was - cloudy water, peeled fingernail polish floating around, clogged with hair so badly that it got an error message during use. We called the property manager and the person who answered rushed me off the phone (he needed to call maintenance asap before they left for the day). A maintenance person came to clean, but I was disappointed to never receive a follow up call from the office since they wouldn't let me speak the first time. The maintenance person, Chris, was very friendly and professional. He skimmed out the debris and found the filter was upside down, rendering it useless. He decided it was so dirty that he emptied and refilled it, but we were already too disgusted that we never got back in. When I called to check out, the office asked about our stay. I mentioned our disappointment with the hot tub and the first person hanging up and never following up, and their response was "Okay, thank you. Have a good day." They just ended the call; didn't apologize or ask any questions again. I'm disgusted that our kids were in that water and with the lack of concern or empathy from management. I noticed another review say the hot tub wouldn't heat up 2 months before our stay, which makes me think this was not a one-off event. We will not stay at property owned by The Chalets again.
