The sound of the ocean and the cool breezes while sitting on the front porch was very nice. The neighborhood is very peaceful with beautiful vegetation everywhere. You will truly enjoy this home and what it has to offer. The beach is just a few steps away and there is so much to see and do.

Stayed for a week while our son was at Jackie Robinson training facility. Quick and easy walk to expansive beach with local pizza shack just around the corner. About a mile to the cute shops and multiple restaurants off Club drive. The house is well equipped..not fancy..just comfortable and charming snapshot in time. Ample parking. Owners available and accomodating. Worth the stay.. and easy for friends to find you in the "pink" house.

We try to stay at the Coral Cottage for a winter break every year. Great location by beautiful South Beach. A safe quiet neighborhood. Fenced yard for our spaniel.
You will occasionally meet the hosts in the neighborhood walking their Dalmatian.

From the town we checked in to the time we left the host was more than responsive. Helping with everything from extra boogie boards to accommodate our family of five to being at the house with affordable air conditioner within a few hours of the house AC going out. Can’t wait to stay here again.

Overall, this cottage has everything you could possibly need for time on or near the beach. The location is perfect - close to everything.

Perfect location with less than a 5 minute walk to the beach. Quiet & clean neighborhood. House was clean and tidy with some antique decor. The rental came with beach bicycles, beach toys for kids, beach coolers, beach towels... just about anything you can think of for fun in the sun! Would definitely stay here again.

Home is in a great location. It is a little rough and needs some TLC. Septic tank was an issue a couple of times and got no response from the manager until we had left. Could not use the showers on departure day because of it.

Great location very close to South beach. Very comfortable and spacious dog friendly cottage. Fenced in yard a plus for the dogs. Quick response when contacted management regarding washing machine problem. Replaced the next morning by the owner himself. We all enjoyed our stay!

This property is in a great location. It has what you need but it is extremely tired. Furniture in the main living area was dirty. It needs a massive overhaul. In addition I contacted the property manager and never heard a word back from her. We left early.

We enjoyed our stay. That said this was my third time renting the house. It has aged considerably since I was last there 8 years ago.
Bathtub was dripping interior and exterior need updating as well as the front yard and fence.
It needs a deep cleaning for sure. This is why I am giving it a 3 star rating.

Perfect Beach Location
Traditional beach cottage with minimal upgrades. Perfect fenced in yard for our small dog. Equipped with everything you need. Bathrooms could use upgrading. The air conditioning had an issue, called, and the repair man was there in 30 minutes. Short walk to the beach. Close to stores and restaurants. A nice stay.

Down by the Beach
This quirky home close to the beach was comfortably furnished and just fine for grandparents and grandchildren. The grands appreciated the board games, beach equipment and bikes. What we longed for was green grass and some landscaping. Our week was wonderful but the exterior spaces were rather desolate.

Ideal location
Sure the Cottage is dated a little. It was built in 1953, then had an addition doubling in size in the 1980's. But it's perfect for any vacation! The location couldn't be better. It has everything you would need for a great vacation! There is Surf and body boards, Bicycles, washer and dryer, Pots and pans, plates silver ware, Barbeque grill, outdoor and indoor games for both adults and children. You name it and it's supplied. The only thing you will need is food, your clothes, and of course you! We will definitely be returning...

Great location just a couple minutes away from the beach. House is just as stated. We enjoyed the layout, especially the large kitchen and two separate living rooms. Enough space to work from ‘home’. Close to good restaurants as well. Would definitely rent again.

This is a great spot and a really nice and affordable cottage for fun at the beach, relax on front porch, get a nice meal at the countless nice eateries in the area.

Great vacation spot at the beach!
The Coral Cottage is a great find! It is in a great location that is an easy walk to the beach. The house is charming, and has everything you need for a great vacation. Lots of space to spread out! People have talked about the bed in the master bedroom being lumpy— we had no problem with it! The house also has great internet speed, which was important to us because we were working during the two weeks we were there.

Great value for the location
We were very happy with the value of this property. Sure, the cottage is dated and a bit worn, but it was well-tended and stocked with everything one actually needed. And the location could not be topped—a minute’s walk to beautiful south beach. Also note that a squeaky bed that was the cause of many complaints in prior reviews has been replaced. We slept very well!

Overall, this house fit my family’s needs and we enjoyed our stay in the cottage. Because it’s an older home, there were a few quirks. But they were very quick and minor fixes and didn’t interrupt our vacation at all. Great location!

Nice location but needs some updating
We enjoyed the location. The home was clean upon arrival but cleaning fee is the MOST we've EVER paid at $275!! CRAZY! Very nice to have a washer/dryer. Also nice to have a beach cart to bring things back and forth to the beach. Tonnes of beach towels but only one bath towel (as was also mentioned in a review). Huge TV screen in the family room and comfortable sofas. Nice wine cooler too and new kitchen appliances---stove/dishwasher. Fenced yard was nice. It was too hot to use the outdoor table and chairs.
Cons:
As many have said the MASTER BED is horrible! I had thought that it would have been changed out by now since so many others complained about it. Unfortunately my husband and I didn't get any sleep bc it is so lumpy and it squeaks with any little movement so we were constantly being woken up.
Bathrooms: showers, sinks, faucets, toilets (SO old, small and low, they are barely big enough for my 11 year old). Still from the 1950s when the house was originally built and so are the kitchen cabinets and sink. Some of the kitchen items need to be replaced. Rusted and old especially the Teflon items...ugh! Only 2 kitchen towels and they both looked like old rags all full of holes.
Although I enjoyed the location, I cannot recommend this place due to the horrible bed, old bathrooms and kitchen.
Person managing was out of town but did respond eventually when she could.
We've always rented directly from the owner that knows everything about the house. Property managers don't have all the little details that I had emailed about.
Another "first" was having to sign an 18 page contract before arrival! I don't sign contracts without reading through them completely. It was 18 pages long and some of the payment information was incorrect so I had to go back and forth with the property manager to correct the numbers. If I hadn't paid for the stay I would have cancelled upon receiving that contract bc it took a couple of hours out of my time to read through it AND make corrections to the payment w/ phone calls and emails.
The reason I waited to write this review is because we were overall pretty disappointed considering the entire cost was $1,560 for 4 nights! I wanted to be able to give the positives to the house rather than the 'cons' only.

Perfect!
This home was perfect for my family of four, and two dogs. We had the best vacation of our lives in this house at Vero Beach. We cannot wait to visit again next year and make this our annual home away from home!

Absolutely Perfect!
My family hadn’t had a vacation in over 4 years. All we wanted was to be at the beach and have it feel like we were at the beach. The coral cottage is amazing! Fully equipped kitchen as well as beach things. The short stroll to the beach is beautiful and short. This was the most relaxing and carefree time we have ever been able to have! It is well worth it to rent the Coral Cottage! Even the dogs enjoyed themselves!

Kitchen well-appointed for cooks, wonderful den besides the living room with huge tv. Paint trimIn and out a bit ratty and could use freshening. For the owner: I’d add lights to the ceiling fans in the den and the 2nd bedroom (dark at night). As others mentioned master bed had creaky springs. Also recommend a motion detector light at front , dark if you don’t remember to leave light on. Perfect for a couple. Would be an odd layout for more people due to location of 2nd bath.

Coral Cottage Get Away
We really liked staying at this house. The house was clean throughout, nice neighborhood, and only a block away from a nice beach. I took advantage of the bicycles on the property by going for a couple of rides, not something I do much in my home state of MN in February! In addition to beach time, we went offshore fishing and visited Sebastian Inlet State Park both of which were only a short drive away. We would recommend this house to everyone.
