Cozy Home near White Mountains along Northern Vermont/New Hampshire border
Cette confortable maison de 4 chambres et 2 salles de bains se trouve au sommet d'une colline sur 3 hectares dans le paisible village de Wells River, VT (population ~ 500) le long de la frontière du New Hampshire et d'une partie de la région du nord du Royaume du Vermont. Entouré par la nature et la rivière Connecticut, vous trouverez rapidement la maison et la région relaxantes. C'est un endroit parfait pour ceux qui souhaitent profiter de la saison du feuillage d'automne à l'automne, ainsi que des activités en eau douce en été et des activités sur neige en hiver.
Nous avons récemment rénové cette maison de 2 étages qui a été construite dans les années 1920. La maison présente une cuisine mise à jour avec de nouveaux appareils électroménagers, des comptoirs en granit et des planchers de bois franc partout. Le reste de l'étage principal comprend une salle à manger formelle et 2 salons avec téléviseurs et avec cheminées qui s'ouvrent sur un porche grillagé qui est parfait pour profiter de la nature tout en sirotant du café ou du vin. Au rez-de-chaussée se trouvent également 2 chambres avec chacune des lits queen size et 1 salle de bain complète.
A l'étage, il y a 2 chambres supplémentaires avec la première ayant un lit gigogne double qui peut être utilisé comme 2 lits jumeaux ou mis ensemble pour faire un lit king size. Au bout du couloir, il y a une chambre supplémentaire avec un lit queen et 1 autre salle de bain complète.
Chaque salle de bain a des baignoires sur pattes qui étaient originales à la maison et parfaites pour le trempage. Si vous n'êtes pas dans les bains, pas de soucis, les baignoires incluent également une douche debout ou un tuyau pour les enfants à l'avant!
Au sous-sol, il y a une laveuse et une sécheuse, et les locataires ont accès à des équipements tels que des tubes, des tentes et des équipements sportifs.
À l'extérieur, profitez du feu de camp, des balançoires, de la table de pique-nique ou jouez au badminton. Pour ceux qui cherchent à profiter encore plus de la nature, n'hésitez pas à utiliser les matelas pneumatiques et à dormir sur le porche ou à installer la tente n'importe où sur la propriété de 3 acres.
Lors d'une journée typique, vous verrez des tamias, une variété d'oiseaux et des cerfs sur la propriété. Parfois, vous pouvez également espionner un renard ou un orignal.

Felt like we were in a forest of our own, even though town is around the corner. The house is beautiful and we felt at home. If we come to Vermont, we will definetly book again.

House was very spacious and safe with a large yard for kids to play. Kitchen had plenty of dinnerware, cookware, and even some cooking oils and spices. A small amount of basic consumables (toilet paper, coffee pods, hand soap) were supplied. The furniture was a bit old, and the house could use some deeper cleaning (windows etc), but overall it was a nice stay.

The house is comfortable and roomy and there is plenty of parking. The kitchen is well stocked with all the necessary items. The screened front porch and around the firepit were fave hangout spots. There is a WalMart nearby (in NH) for quick trips to get supplies.
A few notes: Extra sheets and blankets were hard to find. The clawfoot tubs are lovely but the plugs were not useful if you wanted a bath. The full TV/remote control instructions are only in the welcome packet in the kitchen -- would be useful to have them with each TV as well.

Great location if you're stay in this part of Vermont/ New Hampshire. The town itself has limited food and retail options. I'd opt for accommodations in nearby Littleton, NH if you prefer to eat out. The kitchen was up-to-date but the rest of the house has old appliances, an abundance of personal items, creaky beds, small showers, and furniture draped in blankets. Instead of the charming country house vibe I expected, it feels cluttered. There are countless delicate personal items spread around the dining and living areas. Bedrooms lack side tables, reading lamps, and updated bedding. The sheets and pillows were quite old. Despite my critiques, it's clear that the hosts care deeply about this house and its history. It's full of their memories and they treat it like a museum. Perhaps they should think more about the guest experience. That being said there are limited options in this area so upgrades may not be worth their investment and for many travelers the price is right.

The property was very nice and clean. The driveway and stairs into the house were icy and there wasn't any salt or sand to put down.

This is a wonderful rental! a quaint antique house that is nonetheless perfectly equipped for modern living. The updated kitchen has plenty of storage and counter space, which makes it easy to prepare food for large groups. The beds are comfortable, and the house is set up so that a large group can gather together, or sit in small groups in two living rooms, a dining room and the kitchen as well as the AMAZING screened porch. We spent a lot of time outside around the fire pit, or playing in the huge yard. The house is on a very winding, narrow road, and drivers have to be very careful coming and going, but there is very little travel on the road, so we never had a problem. I highly recommend this property to anyone who wants peace, quiet, and LOTS of space to play!

The location of this property was perfect. It was a beautifully kept property, and it was an easy walk to a great sandy beach on the Connecticut river. Stores and restaurants were close by, but the property still felt private and secluded. We enjoyed several evenings around the fire pit. There are some things I think renters should know before they go, however. There is a Keurig coffee maker, but no coffee K-cups were provided. Also, we were a party of six people staying for a week and there was only one spare roll of toilet paper supplied for each bathroom. There was not an extra roll of paper towels either. There was one partial roll of paper towels provided in the kitchen but no spares. I can understand that the owners might not want to supply these essentials, but what seemed especially odd was that there was not a single extra trash bag for the trash can. We were supplied one small kitchen sized trash bag….. for six people… for a week. I found this particularly bizarre. We purchased extra toilet paper and a box of garbage bags and left them to help out the next guests, but it seems odd that we had to that. The kitchen cabinets were also very cluttered and disorganized, but we were able to find things that we needed to cook meals. We did enjoy our time here very much, but I do feel that the house could be much better set up for guests. All that said, I would rent here again because of the location and the property.

Our family spends a long weekend together every summer. This home had everything we could ask for: firepit, front porch, lawn games, a full stocked kitchen, ample seating and bedrooms, wildlife (we saw a family of deer!) And close to everything we needed! Thank you for sharing your beautiful home!!

Gorgeous home, lots of space to spread out both inside and out! Plenty of charming New England touches with modern upgrades. The screened in porch and fire pit were our favorite spots. We also checked out Big Eddy for swimming ten minutes away and took a lovely half hour drive to Boulder Lake in Groton where we rented kayaks and enjoyed a beach day. Restaurants, grocery store, Wal-Mart and delicious ice cream all within a ten minute drive, yet the house is off the beaten path in a quiet neighborhood. Path to river is about a quarter mile, located down the street from the house. So grateful to have spent time in this beautiful home.

My family and I went on a weekend getaway and this house was perfect. Easy to get to, spacious, and it's located on beautiful property that is perfectly secluded and yet 5 minutes from anything you need! The property manager was quick to respond and very pleasant to work with. I hope to go back again!

Super easy to check in and out. Adorable house with plenty of space for ten friends and a dog. We had a wonderful weekend cooking and sitting by the fire pit. Would definitely go again!

Great location on a quiet dead end road. Beautiful old home with antiques. Awesome fire pit and wide open field.Could not hook up to the WiFi, so very difficult to communicate.

The house was so cozy and I wish I could’ve stayed longer. Definitely looks and feels bigger on the inside. Since it was just the 2 of us it felt huge. I’d love to come back with more friends in the future.
