Wonderful location near Frenchman Street but quieter. Check-in process was done by Michael in person; his restaurant and shopping recommendations were spot-on. There’s something special and informative when you can ask questions during check-in. Wonderfully decorated and furnished. Would stay here again.

It cannot get much better than the location of this house on Royal Street right between the French Quarter and Marigny. The house is very accommodating and clean with a lovely private patio. The property manager Michael is very responsive. Five people easily accommodated here. I highly recommend this property.

This is a fantastic, extremely well-maintained property in an unbeatable location. The owners / property manager are very dedicated, thoughtful, and attentive to ensuring a great experience. Yes, the neighborhood is lively - but I found this to be absolutely part of the fun! The Cottage on Royal is the perfect place to stay if you love (or are ready to fall in love with) New Orleans - Laissez les bons temps rouler!

Such a beautiful home with a lovely courtyard. Sat there every morning for coffee.
Walk to everything, French quarter, Frenchman street, treme, etc.
As stated in the description, it is directly across from a bar so bring your earplugs. Those along with the wonderful noise machine provided in each room, we slept comfortably.
Would stay again on a return trip.

Super clean house, very well appointed house in an amazing location. Loads of bars and restaurants within walking distance (excellent sushi just across the street!). Mike, the property manager, was very responsive and a pleasure to deal with. When we weren't taking in the sites, we were hanging out on the beautiful back patio. Great place to get a little sun and enjoy a cold drink. We hope to make this an annual tradition. So happy we found this place!!

Easy walking to French Quarter and Frenchman Street. We drove down from Wisconsin, but you can easily get around with Uber/Lyft. We always come back to here one or more times a year.

We had family arrive from NYC, Florida, and Cali. We used this property as our Hangout. The weather was fabulous so we spent time on the patio. So comfortable and private. We were right off Frenchman St. as well as the Quarter. Great location for everything we wanted to do. The cottage was a great place to get away from the craziness. New Years Eve was a little noisy most of the night with passers-by. Other nights not bad after midnight. Two adult couples shared the space, it was very comfortable. Highly recommend!

The first thing I noticed was that tourists on the mule-drawn wagon tours would stop to photograph the cottage because it's so charming. The cottage itself was an amazing home base for exploring New Orleans. The king mattress and sitting room couch seemed brand new, the art fit with the character of the neighborhood, and the kitchen was well-appointed. The cottage has a very cool back patio, which proved a perfect place to share a muffuletta and a beer.
Location is perfect! Easy walk to Frenchman Street and the music of The Spotted Cat, Maison, and others. Nice coffee shop on Frenchman too. Right across the street is the R Bar, where we made many new friends. The cottage sits at the head of Royal Street (and Decatur, Chartres, and Bourbon Streets), which makes it a fine origination point for strolls of the French Quarter.
People come to New Orleans to party, and a couple of reviewers have mentioned the street noise. The hosts have put sound machines in each room, but we didn't use them because we liked falling asleep to the distant sounds of jazz and the laughter of people having fun. Please only stay here if you'll give the property the respect it deserves, and if you are in town to live with the flow of the city.
My props to Michael, who was serving as the property manager and who gave us the lay of the land. He's friendly and genuinely wants guests to enjoy their stay. He went out of his way to show us some "Who Dat" New Orleans hospitality. Thanks Michael!!!

The four of us have been friends for a very long time and thoroughly enjoyed the condo. The parking accommodations, walking distances to where we wanted to go and especially the wonderful patio was a real plus for us. Also the convenience of the bar across the street worked realy well. Overall we were pleased with our stay and will keep it in mind for another time. Thanks to Mike for being a great host and making things easy!

The locale is perfect for accessing the jazz clubs on Frenchman's. The interior design in comfortable and well-appointed. The courtyard in the back is a plus! We were able to sit outside and hear the call of some of the music from a block away. Situated on Royal, we could stroll into the Quarter to enjoy its offerings with ease -- no need for a car. The only down-side are the late night revelers who may decide to hang out on the side of the Kerlerec side of the property. The owners have provided noise canceling machines in the two bedrooms in anticipation of such events.

the property was just like the pictures , very clean and the location was perfect for walking all over from frenchmen street to bourbon street. The bar across the street is great but note it is open till 3 am and its loud outside on the street friday and saturday night but we were up until then anyway.

My mom and I spent 5 nights at the Cottage on Royal, and it was perfect! It was decorated so nicely, the courtyard was lovely, and things went smoothly with the great property manager, Michael. The location was great, just a few minutes’ walk from the French Quarter and Frenchman Street. We would absolutely stay there again. Thanks for a wonderful stay!
