We were in Lake Charleviox for a family vacation and family wedding. This house met all our needs with a fenced in back yard for the dogs, playset for the kids, hot tub for adults in the evening. Great location, can walk to beach, library, downtown for shopping, restaurants and bars/taverns. The town is just great. The listing said two cribs, and only one there, but the owner had a new pack and play delivered to us the next day. He stated one had broke a few weeks ago. We appreciated the responsiveness to the need due to the original listing information. Very responsive and great with communication with us before, during and after.

The landscaping and cute front porch are a wonderful welcome to the northern Michigan experience. The house is centrally located to everything we love about Charlevoix. Easy walk to the beach, the lighthouse, the marina, and all that downtown Charlevoix has to offer. Everything was well stocked and our family was able to feel at home hanging out, cooking meals, enjoying the hot tub, and roasting marshmallows over the fire pit. The fenced backyard was great for our grandkids. The host was very responsive and the house was clean and comfortable. Charlevoix never disappoints and this house was perfect for our family vacation.

Stayed here with a few friends for a low-key ski trip in January. The house is warm and cozy, and even in winter the hot tub is wonderful. Location-wise, while it is a bit aways from the shore, it is easily walkable to Charlevoix's Main Street and the beach, even in heavy snow. A short, 5 min drive gets you to the Mt. McSauba ski hill, perfect for first time skiers.
Andrew was very friendly and responsive, and their house feels like a nice, lived in family vacation home, not a property just being rented out by a company. We were happy to spend some time there and would stay again.

We went to go skiing at Boyne but got rained out every day we were there. Luckily the house had everything we needed for an amazing time. Huge tv in the family room to watch movies, huge table in the kitchen for cards and games, four nice bedrooms with comfy beds and the hot tub works rain or shine 😊
Location was also amazing. 5 minute walk to restaurants, shopping, and the movie theater. The people or Charlevoix could not have been nicer. We even took a quick day trip to Petoskey for lunch!
Great time had by all. Would def rebook!

This was a perfect location and home for us to stay in for a family wedding. It had plenty of bedrooms and bed accommodations. We loved the fact that it had a fenced in yard with a play structure, fire pit and plenty of room to have family over. We used the hot tub almost daily and that was such an added treat. The location to town and the beach was fantastic as it allowed us to have adventures without having to drive or pack up a car!
Our host, Andrew had so many added amenities .. lots of towels, beach chairs, umbrellas, firewood and plenty of outside seating. Inside there were lots of dishes and pots and pans ( totally appreciated by me..the cook) so we could all eat together and prep time was cut in half! He also made himself available if we had any questions or concerns. We appreciated the great work his housekeeper did to make the home clean and ready for our arrival..and the front porch is spectacular with all the lovely flowers . We look forward to staying in his home again.

My friends and I do an annual girls weekend. This year we decided and Charlevoix and this home was perfect for us! We loved that we could walk everywhere we wanted to go. We walked to see the mushroom houses, to the beach, to town, etc. there was plenty of room for all of us and the hosts were very attentive. We will definitely be back!

We throughly enjoyed our stay here! It is within walking distance to downtown. The house is so spacious and stocked with everything we needed. There’s plenty of room in the backyard for whatever activities you enjoy. The hot tub was perfect. Not to mention- the host was wonderful to work with. Very responsive, helpful and accommodating during our stay! We would definitely stay here again if we return to the area for another vacation!

The property was nice, A few trip hazards in the house, What I mean by that is the has a lot of uneven spots. The porch in the front has an odd step, my husband fell walking out the door. The steps going to the upstairs has a small step that catches your foot. Both my sons said they almost fell. And when you walk through the front porch area to the living room.
But the thing that bothers me the most. A camera pointed at the hot top. Forgive me if i'm wrong but I don't think you are allowed to have cameras near hot tubs and swimming pools. With a VRBO. Creepy

Great walking location to downtown Charlevoix! One block from grocery store and restaurants! Great house to rent with children as they had some toys and one room which had two twin beds plus a crib. Hot tub was very nice! Communication with host is immediate and he was very nice to work with! Would stay again, especially in summertime.

We really loved our NYE stay at this property! The property is fenced which was very nice for our dog and we walked to downtown to get coffee on several days. The location is great and the communication with Andrew was even better.

This is a great location-close to downtown and the Michigan beach and a pretty quiet neighborhood. Backyard is wonderful and deck is nice. The main concern is that it is listed as sleeping 10, but only sleeps 8. Cribs should not count as beds. We had to buy a double inflatable mattress to make up the difference. Beds are generally old and soft except the one downstairs. Both bathrooms and the kitchen are old and need help. Sink in downstairs bathroom has little water pressure. Washer /dryer downstairs a steep stairs in very unfinished basement.

Great stay!
We had a wonderful week long stay. The house was very comfortable for my family of five. The fire pit was a really nice addition and it has a great deck and backyard for playing. The house was clean and is a quick walk to downtown. Thank you Thav family for a great week!

Just ok
Within hours of check in time we were told that we might not be able to use the hot tub during our stay. Come to find out there was no hot tub. It was ripped out. Of course at this time it was too late to cancel the reservation and try to find other accommodations.
The location was very convenient to downtown Charlevoix, so that was nice. However the house next door looks like it needs to be condemned.
As noted in other reviews, the house was not very clean, and there were large stains on the couches.

The house was perfect for our needs. We were up for a family wedding. We do wish that the hot tub was in and working and hope it is in soon.

Nice home & property
Landlord, check in/out process and instructions friendly and efficient. Hot tub was frozen (it was freezing out!) but everything else was fantastic. Upstairs shower was good pressure and updated. Very comfy couches in great room and large screen TV which came in handy for football wild card playoffs. Location is perfect and walking distance to town and marina.

Perfect stay
The house was perfect for a weekend get away and wedding at Castel Farms. It was also during the Apple festival in Charlevoix which allowed for a short walk to the festival. Owner is very responsive. Perfect for kids with the playset in the backyard and toys for them to play with. Would 100% stay again!

Perfect family setting
Our mother is 87 and wanted to take her kids on vacation. We helped her select this house in Charlevoix and were not disappointed. It easily accommodated the 7 of us. The kitchen was well furnished and we lacked nothing (including a really nice Keurig - bonus!)The owner contacted us well in advance with checkin information. We walked to town for shopping and to the beach for beautiful sunsets. The front porch was a lovely place to put together puzzles and we enjoyed a campfire in the back lawn. Cool evenings were nice in the hot tub. Mom really enjoyed the guided tour of nearby Castle Farms. Would highly recommend this property.

Anniversary Trip
We had a great time in Charlevoix and exploring the surrounding areas. The weather was perfect the beach was beautiful and clean. Many fun memories made in the home. We will definitely be returning!

Great Stay in a cute town
We had a wonderful time. The house was exactly as described. The shops in town, the beach, and the pier are all within walking distance (even for my toddler). Andrew made sure we had all the info we needed, including his contact number. Wonderful host.

Beautiful, Comfortable Stay
My sisters and I stayed for a long weekend in April. We really enjoyed our stay and loved the town of Charlevoix. We definitely recommend the Charlevoix public library and the mushroom houses. The Taffy Barrell was a lot of fun too! Overall the house was very comfortable and very nicely furnished. Our favorite part was the hot tub which was well kept and we got a lot of good use out of it. The cons of the house is that none of the doors closed all the way. We had to tug them and lock them for them to stay closed. There were some moldy spots on the ceiling which we didn't mind because we understand it's hard to clean the ceiling but it was noticeable. We also noticed there was a slant in the home which was especially noticeable in the main floor shower. We were surprised nobody has previously mentioned the lack of window coverings in the upstairs bathroom! There's literally a window in the shower just FYI. We would return because we enjoyed the place and at least next time we would be prepared for the door situation.

Fun in downtown Charlevoix
Despite the weather not cooperating (no snow!), the location was great, very close to downtown with plenty of things to do. Hot tub worked great as well. Place is accurate to pictures, but was not as clean as we would have liked - could have used a deep clean.
