The stay here wasn’t as pleasant and easygoing as expected. To start off, we had problems with the wifi as soon as we got there. In other words, there was NO internet at all. I reached out to the host the first day there and never got a message back. Our whole stay we couldn’t use the TV or our phones when we were in the house. We also had problems with the stove. It would not start when we wanted to use it and the house would start to smell like gas quickly. We needed to use a lighter to start the fire. To make matters worse there were roaches that would appear in the living room and bathroom. We were warned about an ant problem but not about roaches. We were not satisfied with our rental experience and customer service. I reached out again privately after our stay and never got a response back.

Loved staying here and wish we could have stayed longer. Perfect location, would come back to this little house again.

Overall, a good experience. A short walk away from the downtown area and Vons. Fun decorations, good sized living room and kitchen. The bedroom with the bunk beds is cramped and the mattresses make a lot of noise when you move around but that's not a huge issue. Only weird thing is that from the bathroom you can hear conversations in the adjacent property very clearly.

We love Catalina, we had a great time as always. We really liked the house, it fit all of our needs as we had our 3 young boys with us (6, 4, 1) I loved the rental process, it was very easy. My only issues were: I know the house was cleaned- we saw the cleaners leave- BUT- the house needs a real deep cleaning. The couch and chair cushions needs to be steam cleaned badly. There was mold in the washer. The walls are dirty. The refrigerator leaks. I'm also questioning if the sheets were even washed. I started getting a stye in my eye before we left, and we came home and my 2 older sons have pink eye. The house needs new bedding desperately. There was personal random items in the master closet which I thought was odd. I know the trash should have been taken out the day before- not too sure it was because it was completely full and stunk so bad. We couldn't even have the back door open because it was that bad. Had to wait 2 days for the next trash pick up. I think we are paying for the location- which was awes

The house is run by a major vacation home rental business on the island, so it's not like you're renting from an individual owner that loves and takes care of the place. While the house is stocked with basic kitchen utensils, plates, cups, etc. and the housekeeper did an EXCELLENT job, there are a couple glaring issues that I hope the owners will correct for future inhabitants. We saw 3 cockroaches in the bathroom over the course of 5 days. The fan they gave us was so dusty it looked like a prop from a horror film, which is too bad because the house needed ventilation. I ended up purchasing a fan. The fan and the bug issues are totally fixable things and if/when they are fixed the house would easily earn 4 stars. We had a great time. The house is cute and it's a short walk from some pretty great places.

We stayed for 3 nights and really enjoyed the location and walkable distance to everything. My biggest complaint is the seating. If the house sleeps 8 it should absolutely be able to seat 8 comfortably. All they have is a very dirty sofa that at best seats 3, and 3 wicker arm chairs. So 6 seats total, not including the dining chairs. Also they should have 8 dinner plates, bowls, cups & mugs that match. It was a very hodgepodge assortment of dishes. Lastly it would be great to have a few beach chairs, umbrellas & sand toys considering people are coming over on the ferry and can't bring much with them. Otherwise, the house was very clean and had plenty of bath towels. I also very much appreciated the rental company allowing us to check in early and check out late (for an additional $50). I probably would not stay here again just based on the lack of furnishings for 8 people. And really, that sofa needs a deep cleaning. It was pretty gross to sit on.

The bedrooms were a lot smaller than advertised. The house was extremely hot even with all the windows and doors open and all the fans on because the house doesn't have AC. A bunch of the electrical outlets didn't work. It ended up not being a good thing that they didn't have a bathtub since I have small children. Despite the house looking clean the floors were filthy, my son who crawled around on his knees had black knees after only crawling around for an hour every day. However, the location of the house was very convenient and a short walk from everything. The beds were also very comfortable. The kitchen was also upgraded and nice despite not having a dishwasher. I did think it would've been nice if they provided laundry detergent for their washer and dryer so I didn't have to buy a big container of it for two loads. They also did not provide enough toilet paper for everybody that was staying in the house so we had to buy more of that as well. It also would've been nice if the house had more windows that open and better circulation. We had to leave the front and back doors wide open in order to cool the house down and since there were no screen doors we had to use our stroller and luggage to block the doors so that our small children didn't wander out of the house.
