Feels like you are ski touring in Europe. Amazing house with amazing history. Free easy shuttle to pallisades, so you don’t have to deal with the parking. Erik was the best host I have ever experienced. So kind, thoughtful, and gregarious. Hope to stay again. Thanks Erik!

We thoroughly enjoyed staying in this Norweigan-inspired home that features a wonderful sauna to help warm you up after a long day enjoying the slopes. It's a great location (free transportation to the ski area) and plenty of room for the entire family.

The house was wonderful and clean. It has a beautiful old charming design that allowed our friends and family hand out and relax together after a long ski day

The cabin was a perfect spot for our group of six (two kids, two parents, two grandparents). Eric was very helpful and communicative. The living area was comfortable and the kitchen was well-appointed, which worked out well for us to cook our meals during our stay. Thanks!

Lanny drive is in a great location to the village, Truckee River, & Lake Tahoe! We loved that the house was the second to be built in the valley, but with modern updates!

Our family had a lovely time at the ski chalet for a week in February. The views out of the living room are so great, especially with a roaring fire and snow falling outside. The kitchen is well stocked, we cooked every night but one where we went out for dinner. Children loved the ring toss game and all the fun board games and bunkbeds that every ski house should have.
Getting to/from the resort is easy via the Mountaineer service which is free and door-to-door.
For bookings with multiple families, there are plenty of beds but the size/layout of the house make it best enjoyed with families that are comfortable with each other.

The house is very well located, a few minutes drive from Palisades. It is spacious and well stocked. We got very unlucky as the house ran out of gas on the morning after our arrival. No heating, no hot water. We stayed warm with the open fire. The owner tried to get the situation resolved but was not able to. We had to leave one day earlier than expected. Very unlucky.

Very scenic, old school rustic 1960 Olympics house. Relaxing sauna, lots of light from the floor to ceiling windows the entire front of the house. Cozy wood burning fireplace (with tons of available wood) adds to the ambiance, and for any skiers with the inclination, there is a ski tuning vise by the downstairs sauna! One mile from the Olympic Village, with a handy bike path and hiking trail nearby. Beautiful Squaw Valley scenery is the perfect compliment to the fabulous vacation that awaits you there.

This house is in a great location near Palisades. It is comfortably appointed with everything you need. The host is awesome. He has clear instructions, is accommodating and communicates very well. Beds were very comfortable. It has a wonderful classic Tahoe feel. Amazing view of KT22. Really a great stay and we would stay again.

The home is simply perfect. The family room with fireplace was so cozy for nightly game play, reading by the fire, or taking zooms for work. Parking was easy, lots of firewood, and the kitchen, dining, and other features made us feel right at home. Will definitely stay again!

What a great throwback to the early 60’s !! Total ski chalet with floor to ceiling windows, great vintage feel and so comfortable!! The kitchen was stocked with every spice and condiment you could want! The area the house is in Squaw Valley is close to everything! Great hiking and biking just steps from the house! We were there during bad smoke from fires north of us, and Eric the property owner, took the time to check in on us and make sure we were safe! All in all our family vacation was near perfect and I would go back to this wonderful house again !! Thank you for being great hosts !!

This cabin is wonderfully retro and cozy. The 1960’s architecture and photos from the Olympics makes you feel like you’re stepping back in time. Plenty of space for our family of 5 (2 adults, 2 kids, 1 dog). We loved the sunken TV room full of board games. The large deck has lovely views and made for a great place to have a glass of wine at sunset. The well stocked kitchen was super helpful since we cooked most of our meals. The whole house was clean and well provisioned. We really enjoyed our stay!!

We had a great time with our family for thanksgiving and the cabin is in a great location.
My only 2 things I would say in regards to the property are it’s much smaller than it appears in the photos, and it isn’t very little kid friendly.

Overall we really enjoyed our week at Squaw- This house is really well stocked with everything you might need in the kitchen, etc. but we did find it to be considerably smaller than it appeared online. Also, we were surprised to learn that the kids bunk room is actually part of the loft and essentially part of the living room with no full walls- Kind of ruined our evenings! The location is great- almost exactly a mile from the lifts at Squaw. Great house if you have older children or a group of adults.

I organized a ski weekend to Squaw with a group of friends and we stayed at this classic cabin. We had a wonderful experience. The cabin was built shortly before the Squaw Olympics and has been owned by the same family ever since. You can feel the history of Squaw valley in the cabin and we could tell it has been home to many great memories--the photos on the wall tell the story! The cabin is not modern, but it has everything you need. The living room is wonderful. There is a great fireplace and the two story windows provide a perfect view of KT-22. The bunk room is small, but it is a perfect place for kids. The other two bedrooms and loft area offer plenty of space. The bonus TV room, sauna and outdoor deck are great. Also, the kitchen is big and open so multiple people can cook and prepare food at the same time.

Wonderful views from this well-located ski house. We've rented a bunch of houses/condos at Squaw and this one had the best view. We rented this house for a family ski vacation and the house was compact but felt quite roomy for the 5 adults and 5 kids. The den next to the kitchen kept the kids occupied while the adults could relax in the living room. It's perfectly equiped for a ski vacation with a large mud room in the front to store boots, jacket, etc. It's a quick few minutes to Squaw and on a quiet street off the main road. One day we hiked to Shirley Canyon. It's a quick 20 min walk to the trailhead and then a nice hike up to the gorgeous canyon. A really wonderful hike. This house is not super-luxurious for those that like new houses but if you love old modern houses you'll love this one. We hope to return again.

We just returned from this gorgeous cabin in Squaw Valley. We had our entire family and loved the view, the Olympic history of the house, and the proximity to all the fun summer activities. We could be at Lake Tahoe in 10 minutes, we had everything we needed for cooking for 9, and we love the valley and the village.
Well equipped, well maintained, and easy logistics with the owner.

My wife, daughter and I, along with her parents, had an absolutely wonderful time in this great house. The location couldn't be more convenient, the large floor to second floor ceiling windows provided great light and views and the house was very comfortable. The owner was easy to work with and provided all that was needed. We had a delightful time.

My family of 6 stayed here for a great week in March, with 8 feet of new snow. This is a gorgeous place with unique modern architecture combined local historical importance. The giant floor to ceiling windows overlooking the ski resort is great for those that just want to relax by the fireplace and watch the action. We look forward to spending another great week up hear next year!

We stayed in this home over the summer and had a fantastic experience. After renting many homes in Squaw Valley, we finally found one with really comfortable beds. The living room is large and comfortable. We really enjoyed having the TV room off the kitchen so adults could be in living room without being subject to kids' shows. The kitchen is well equipped. The house gets great light and the decks are expansive. We loved seeing all the old photos of Squaw in the house. This was our first trip to Squaw in the summer and there was a lot to do: flat biking for kids, mountain biking, hiking, river rafting, pool at the top of the mountain and the best part is that you avoid the lake traffic. We would definitely stay again in the winter or summer.

My brother and I rented the Squaw Valley Cabin for 6 days over Presidents Day holiday as a reunion spot (i live in CA, He lives in PA).
The cabin looked exactly like the photos- the beds were amazing (i am a bed snob) with great fluffy comforters. It is set off the main road by one block so no traffic noise but a 2 minute drive to the lifts at Squaw. The fireplace was EPIC - large and a ton of dried wood in the basement. One of the best features is the massive deck with great views of the valley- nice to relax and gets full sun all day. We would stay here again, for sure!!

This home is the quintessential ski cabin! Very charming, plenty of room for even 2 families, and perfectly situated near the ski slopes. We simply loved this house and the attention the owners put into all the little details, from authentic norwegian furniture to the open fireplace with breathtaking views of the mountains. This place rocks!
