Everything - Bruce and Cathy were amazing, the breakfast was awesome even when Cathy did a breakfast to go and the room/house was stunning! Golden is the perfect spot to explore the Rockies, even going as far as Banff itself but without having to deal with Banff traffic on a daily basis.

The fact we had to leave. I think the only thing we could suggest would be a fan in the room but that's only because it's what we are used to at home. The room would be lovely and cosy in winter!

This is truly exceptional lodge. The rooms are spacious , comfortable and clean; the hosts are extremely friendly, generous, and helpful. Breakfast is fantastic, a true gourmet , chef-style breakfast. A place I would love to return to.

I didn't like the fact that We had to leave after staying only three nights. We would love to stay much longer, but had to go back home.

An absolutely outstanding imaginative breakfast in all respects. Beautifully presented poached pears that were as good as their appearance. Bruce and Cathy were excellent hosts!

Absolutely beautiful place to stay, Cathy is a wonderful host! Fantastic amenities in a picturesque setting, hot tub and sauna are great to have on site! Very clean suite, kitchen and living room have all required items, wood fire was glorious, extremely comfortable bed, plenty of towels and attention to detail (slippers, robes, welcome shortbread) were well received. The breakfast was amazing and a great start for the next leg of our journey. I’d highly recommend anyone travelling through Golden to stay here- you won’t regret it!

Such nice rooms and sitting areas, this place is wonderful. Cathy and Bruce are very nice and helping. Place is real modern and nicely decorated. We used hot tub too.

The entire set up is great, beautiful rooms, excellent Host, exquisite breakfast! just to much to mention overall an excellent stay!

The property is fabulous and the sauna was lovely at the end of a cold day. Breakfast was fantastic and the coffee was the best in Canada so far!

A truly outstanding breakfast served in a beautiful location - it has been a stay to remember!

The hosts, Bruce and Cathy are really friendly and hospitable. Cathy is a marvellous chef. The breakfasts she prepared were elaborate and delicious! We are totally impressed by and grateful for the efforts they put into the details in making our stay a most memorable one. We will recommend this property to anyone going to Golden.

This place is incredible. It is a beautiful building, the rooms are amazing and the hosts are so welcoming. The breakfasts are by far the best we have ever had, genuinely 5 star restaurant quality! The location is really peaceful with great views. Beds were so comfy and the jacuzzi bath was great. We also loved the hottub - which is huge!

The breakfast that Cathy prepares every morning is amazing, 5 star restaurant quality. Worth a stay just for the breakfast. The views are great and the property is well landscaped. The upscale quality of everything -bed, linens, bathroom fixtures, was completely unexpected. The amenities offered allow you to take a day off from site seeing the beautiful rockies and still feel like you are on vacation. The hosts are very friendly, informative, and helpful. I would recommend staying here to anyone.

One of the most pleasant accommodations in my life. Cathy and Bruce are amazing hosts with hearts in the right place. Their cabin is beautiful and so cozy. And indeed, Cathy's breakfast is delicious.

everything was even more than perfect ! Awesome!! The best Lodge we ever had worldwide ! You have to take the breakfast - unbelieveable - Cathy you made our 2 Days unforgetable !!

First class breakfast, the property was to a high standard, top price but top quality, if you like the idea of sitting round a fire pit in a chalet style setting, this will be perfect for you, you can watch the humming birds while you have those toasted Mash Mellows and a beer.

A little bit out of town about 20 mins

We loved everything! We stayed in the annexe so were away from the main lodge - this is ideal if you want to have a bit more privacy and space to yourself. The annexe is perfectly equipped and beautifully decorated. The bed is extremely comfortable and felt like sleeping in a huge marshmellow! Cathy and Bruce are incredible hosts, very attentive but relaxed and friendly. The breakfast is out of this world! All home cooked by Chef Cathy and with beautiful views over the mountains. Golden is just a short drive away and has a nice amount of restaurants and shops to visit. Ideally located for skiing at Kicking Horse. We loved sitting around the firepit enjoying the views and the peace of the location. The woodburning stove in the annexe made it extra snug and warm.

The lodge is set in a quiet location with stunning views - about 15 min drive from Golden. The room was exceptionally well appointed and was very clean. The bathroom was a very good size with both a bath and shower. The hot tub and sauna were a welcome surprise! Cathy and Bruce were exceptional hosts, really welcoming and Cathy’s breakfast was superb - filling and exceptionally tasty. Thank you for a fabulous stay!
