La Maiden dispose de deux chambres, une salle de bain, cuisine entièrement équipée, TV, internet, Wi-Fi, tous les draps sont fournis (4 serviettes de bain et chaque lit a 1 set de draps), des articles gratuits tels qu'un rouleau de papier toilette, du café Des filtres et des sacs à ordures. We loved every minute of our stay at The Maiden! The house was very clean, in a FANTASTIC location and absolutely beautiful! Linda made the house very welcoming and has a great binder filled with tons of information. We’ve never stayed somewhere so well organized and welcoming. We will be back!

3 night stay for our family of 4 (2 teenagers). The location and proximity to the beach can’t be beat. I would definitely stay here again.

Stayed here with my husband and our two kids and it was perfect. It had everything we needed, was so clean and was very close to the beach. The owner was very helpful and accommodating. Would stay here again in a heartbeat.

The property was nicely decorated with a beach theme. The review said about a 2min walk to the beach, however, I think we did it in about a minute. And we're older, Hahaha! The kitchen had everything we needed for cooking and preparing meals. The beds were super comfortable for a great night's sleep. We watched movies in the living room area at night. The couch was pretty, but not very comfortable. That would be the only thing I'd change. There was only one flight of stairs with sensor lights for night time. Nice deck! I drank coffee there several times. There was also a place to rinse off sand from the beach and a storage unit under the deck for our chairs and things. The owner was so great to work with. She always responded in a timely manner, if I had a question. We were also close to some shops and restaurants. We had the greatest time and look forward to coming back for our next trip to Outerbanks. I highly recommend this sweet place!

The Maiden is an excellent place to stay. Very quiet area. The apartment was just the right size for two adults and a child. Beautiful inside and out. Great parking. Extreamly short walk to the beach. Communication with the host was easy and pleasant. Would recommend to family and friends.

1 minute down the private road to the Beach which you can see from one of the Bedrooms. And if you choose the old lighthouse road instead of the new - you can walk to the Hatteras Lighthouse within 30 mins . No car needed
Very convenient located to shops and restaurants.
The recommendation from the Host was a great feature to have - that has not disappointed and was spot on

Was looking for a new place to stay on our annual trip to Hatteras and came across this property. Loved it and will stay here again!

We enjoyed our first stay at the Maiden in Buxton. Due to the storms in March, the beach at the end of the road has been significantly eroded, but we still managed to find an area within walking distance to enjoy the beach. It’s a great location for walking to shops and restaurants.
A few recommendations for the cottage,
1). Cutting board
2). Vegetable peeler
3). Hose to attach to the spicket outside to clean your feet

Very clean with all the necessary items to make a great place to stay while at the beach. Good location being in Buxton makes it close to every thing on Hatteras Island. Good communication with the owners.

The Maiden was the perfect location for our first stay at OBX. Perfect size with 2 bedrooms and a living room/kitchen area. Outdoor shower was perfect for coming home from the beach. And location location location. A literal two minute walk down the street and you are on the beach! Would definitely recommend this place!

We loved that this cute little apartment, perfect for the 4 of us, and located just a couple hundred feet away from the beach!
Our host was incredibly wonderful to work with.
A few comments for improvement - the front left kitchen stove burner doesn't work, we were supplied with 4 toilet paper rolls, not the advertised 1, and we didn't have enough bathroom hand soap for the week. The kitchen would also benefit from having a cutting board.
Overall, wonderful cute place. If we're ever in the area again, we'd choose your apartment!

Could see the ocean from the one bedroom window. We walked right down the street to the beach, which was amazing. People were surfing, fishing, swimming, playing with dogs, driving right on the beach. (Not a lifeguarded beach, but for swimming the sandbar gave us plenty of security.) The outdoor shower was really convenient. We could walk to breakfast, lunch, dinner, and drinks. Good sound insulation, never once heard the neighbors. But if we were outside they all made sure to say hello, very friendly neighborhood. It was our first time in OBX and we really liked everything about our stay. We hope to stay here again.

A nice property, walking distance to the ocean, restaurants, and ice cream parlors! Pleasant deck with chairs and a side table where you can hear the surf while you enjoy your coffee or evening beverage. A better dining table would be nice, as the high-top isn’t comfortable for everyone.

The three of us enjoyed our stay and everything could not have been any better.
We fished from the beach at the end of the street and drove out to Hatteras point when weather permitted.

The cottage is clean and quiet, in a lovely village with nice places to eat and shop. I found everything I needed and wanted very close by. The setting reminded me of childhood visits to the beach in the 1950s and 60s. It was a delightful week of solitude and walking on the beach. The VRBO experience couldn't have been better. The Maiden was super cute and clean Loved the location! The beds were cozy but the sofa isn't very comfortable. I think it is outdoor lounge furniture. Not a deal breaker, just not too comfy to chill and watch TV.

We absolutely loved this apartment. The location is great, convenient to just about everything you can think of. Practically on top of the beach. Also the cleanest place we have stayed in the outer banks! We were impressed. It’s great for couples. It’s not a huge space, but just right for two people, especially if you stay out during most of your trip like we do. We have already decided we are staying here again!

Not the best week
The only thing good I can say about the property is that the bed was somewhat comfortable and the water was hot. The coffee pot which was no less than '60's era, had a totally rusted heat plate which I had to clean before it was used. The sofa was old porch furniture which was totally uncomfortable. No end tables/nowhere to put a drink, etc. The burners on the 50/60's era stove were all crooked. The only table had 2 stools which were so tall and hard they were hard to sit on, so we didn't...we ate off our laps. We also had to wash some of the dishes before they were used - lipstick on a cup. Outside, the street was totally flooded the whole time we were there, so you had to walk in the yards to get to the beach, which was nice. For the money wouldn't recommend and will not stay again.

Seamless logistics from booking to leaving property. Communication good. Very good use of space though most comfortable for 2 adults. Clean, beds super comfortable for anyone w/ bad back.
Small elevated deck a plus. Kitchen and bathroom configured well for compact
space. Frig and small stove adequate for our
basic cooking. Plenty of hot water. Actually maybe a notice that hot water can be overly hot to point of burn if not tested 1st. Loved being able to walk EVERYWHERE: to public Lighthouse Beach, to dining, to bakery, to mini golf, to beach apparel & equipment retail,to ice cream! A really convenient property. Would come back--host is readily available and thorough in pre rental info.

It was a wonderful area where we could walk to the beach! The beds were comfortable and clean!
The place was wonderful and close to everything in Hatteras. It had an outside shower to get the sand off and cute gallery kitchen. The only suggestion I could make is to put blackout blinds in the rooms. The sun woke us up about 6 am every morning. It would have been nice to sleep in on vacation a couple of days. 😉
