My husband and I stayed in this house for a month. It was immaculate at check in. Lisa was very quick to answer any questions we had. The views were amazing. It was truly the trip of a lifetime.

This is our second year back and we absolutely love the house. It’s a beautiful, peaceful spot with everything you need. And if you haven’t stayed in a ‘Vermont built house’- this is what you’ve been missing. Close to both Smuggler’s Notch (about 1/2 hour) and Stowe (25 minutes), with grocery stores just a quick trip down the hill. Beautiful views. I wish I could see it in the spring. The grounds are beautiful. We can’t wait to come back!

Lisa’s place is wonderful. Such a peaceful and restful retreat. Lisa is an amazing host as well. We loved warming up by the fire and relaxing in the hot tub after skiing.

What an incredible vacation! I cannot say enough about the property and the host. Beautiful views, super quiet, see the stars, mountain views. The house is incredible. Lisa not only let us use her sleds- she had clearly moved some fallen trees for the kids. The home is lovely, with great energy. Perfect distance from town.

Lisa’s place was such a great getaway, with everything you need and could want. The hot tub and fireplace were so nice after cold days skiing. Lisa was quick to respond and so helpful, she was over in just a few minutes when we got our car stuck in the snow, ready to help get us out. Can’t wait to be back!

Our experience at the property was fantastic. We tried to take advantage of all it had to offer, especially with a nice dumping of fresh snow: the stove, coffee drinking and reading spots, hot tub, snow shoes and trails. Lisa is a wonderful host and if you’re considering a trip here for a Stowe weekend or ski trip, don’t hesitate! Thanks for sharing your home with us and for the great stay!!

We loved our stay! So often rentals feel sterile and unwelcoming. Not here. We adored the mid century modern vibes of this home; this is a house I would want to live in. All the books, the art work, the plants, the fireplace ( oh how we loved this fireplace), and the well stocked kitchen made this place feel good. There are outdoor views from every place in the house. I also loved that the home was so welcoming to our pup. She loved her stay too. We hope to return again.

Absolute BEST home near Stowe
Our family has been renting vacation homes for many years and this is one of the cleanest, warmest and well stocked we’ve stayed in- which is why we keep coming back! It doesn’t feel like a rental- it feels more like your best friend offered their home to you for a few days. You will want for nothing. The views are magnificent and the fire and hot tub were just what we needed after a day of skiing. Highly recommended!

If I could give this review 500 stars I would. This beautifully decorated, well-kept cabin in the woods was the perfect COVID-friendly escape this winter. We stayed here on the coldest weekend of the year and cozied up in this amazing cabin, keeping warm with the well stocked wood burning stove, cooking in the well stocked kitchen, and venturing out into the hot tub when we felt brave enough to face the blistering cold. Everything about this house was perfect - the most unique art, well-maintained, the comfiest bed and all the little things you hope for when spending time in a home away from home, featuring absolutely stunning views to boot! It's nestled on a beautiful property that feels totally secluded, with all the comfort and convenience of a quick 5 minute ride to stores, and a quick (and scenic) 20ish minute ride to a shopping, more stores and restaurants, and Stowe!I couldn't recommend this place highly enough!

Great getaway in rural vermont
We absolutely loved this place! Very, spacious, clean, comfortable, and had everything anyone could possibly need, and it was all easy to find. Beautiful art throughout the house, and the beds and furnishings were all really high quality and very comfortable. Even on the one day it rained we enjoyed the gorgeous view out of the big picture windows and the bedrooms, the lovely wood-burning stove, and the games and puzzles. The sledding hill was a big hit with the kids, the miles of trails at our doorstep was also really awesome. The owner was a pleasure to work with and provided clear instructions and great information about the local trails. All in all this place is a real gem! We hope to visit again.

Beautiful home/Perfect location
This home was perfect for our late winter getaway! Great location near numerous ski resorts gave us skiing options. Great hiking out the back. On the rainy days took in the nearby activities (Ben & Jerry’s tour - Yum!)

Just Perfect
What an amazing weekend we had in this property. Everything was as advertised-if not better. The beds were super comfortable, the wood stove provided great heat during sub 0 temps we had and made the entire home seem even more inviting. The plants, the chairs--we just loved it all. We ended up being inside almost the entire weekend due to the weather, but did enjoy the property outside during a ton of fresh snow. Hot tub looked great however we unfortunately didnt use it (duh) but it really is the perfect set up. Location was great for the madness in Stowe, close enough to ski for the day and enjoy the surrounding area. Dont miss out on the more local places too--Lost Nation Brewery, Pizza on Main and El Toro. If you are lucky enough to get to 10 Bends you should.
What a great experience--communication was easy, prompt and helpful--never invasive. We truly hope to be back soon!

Winter wonderland!
We had a fantastic vacation at this Hyde Park house! Such a treat to snowshoe right outside the house and the marked trails are gorgeous. We downhill skied in the area and enjoyed a day of snowshoeing at the Von Trapp Family outdoor center. The hot tub in the back of the house was wonderful on sore muscles and the woodstove made evenings cozy! The kitchen has everything you will need and the beds are comfortable. We brought our dog and had a fabulous family vacation. Thanks!!

Peaceful retreat with everything you need
This home is beautiful, clean, and very well-appointed. The owner is an artist, so there are lovely pieces to enjoy in every room. We lacked nothing, and we were even provided with snowshoes to enjoy the woods around the area. My husband and I stayed for 18 nights with our two Chihuahuas. The owner welcomed all of us with open arms and checked on us throughout our stay to make sure we were comfortable. Although the snow at the mountain (Stowe) was not great during our entire visit, we enjoyed Vermont immensely. So much to do, and great restaurants in the area (check out Butler's Pantry and Lost Nation Brewing, they both had delicious food!) I imagine this would be a wonderful summer getaway as well. I highly recommend this rental. Check it out!

Overall, we'd recommend this lovely home to anyone as a winter getaway.

Loved this house!
I was looking for a house in VT near Stowe with a hot tub and a chance to bring our little cockapoo....and I found it in this property! It was everything everyone on line said...big windows, wonderful fireplace, great hot tub and very responsive owner in Lisa. She met us upon arrival, gave us a tour and then left us to enjoy. My kids skied at Stowe and my wife and I enjoyed the fire, the view, our books and puzzles ....and we all cooked dinner and played board games each night. Everything was neat and within reach...amply supplied kitchen, paper goods, firewood and blankets. Easy move in and move out. Sure was nice to feel you were secluded and private....a true relaxing get away!

Awesome property, perfect for a weekend ski trip getaway with friends
We loved this house. It was perfect to come home to after a day of skiing at Stowe. The hot tub was great, the beds were really comfy, and we found everything we needed in the kitchen for making breakfasts and snacks. Only thing we would suggest is to add a hair dryer to one of the bathrooms, but not a big deal. Definitely would recommend and stay here again.

Gorgeous place!
My husband and 2 college-age daughters had a lovely Christmas week in this cabin. We spent many hours gazing out wall-to-wall living room windows onto the snowy fields and mountains in the distance, especially during the blazing sunsets over Mt. Mansfield. The wood stove provided great radiant heat and it was easy to stoke a fire with the copious amount of seasoned wood just outside. A great place to curl up with a book and the stove has a large, clean glass front to watch the fire. We thought we would be downhill skiing most of the week, but with the frigid temperatures and high winds on the mountain peaks, we only skied 2 days. Maybe even more enjoyable, we rented snowshoes from Powerplay sports in Morrisville and explored the miles of orange and blue-ribbon blazed trails in the woods behind the cabin. There is a covered bridge on the trail where my husband took many photos. We did some cross country skiing as well. Lisa was a great resource for places to eat, shop and ski, and as an artist, filled the cabin with beautiful original artwork. The natural food Co-op in Morrisville had the best crusty bread I have had in a long time, and we had a cheese tasting with wine several evenings.
The cabin is in a very private and remote setting on a dead-end road, but only 3 miles to groceries and stores. Driving from Virginia, our only problem was our windshield wiper fluid froze the first night as we didn't have cold weather fluid. It didn't matter on the backroads, but on the interstates going home we had to pull over every 15 minutes to clear the windshield of the salt that spit up and made it hard to see.
We would love to come back and highly recommend this place to anyone.

Pure Cozy Elegance
My husband (and dog) and I couldn't have been more delighted with our stay! The house was perfect for a cozy, snowy getaway. So many highlights: big walls of windows in each room to gaze on the beautiful woodland mountain views; a wood burning stove for warmth and atmosphere; modern and elegant house with open floor plan, wood floors and beautiful area rugs; exceptionally classy and worldly art and décor; fully equipped kitchen; hot tub just out the back door; fantastic wide-ranging library of really good books; and everything was clean and comfortable!
We loved the feeling of privacy and remoteness, but enjoyed the very easy access to Stowe's ski slopes. But honestly, it was hard to leave for adventures, because the coziness of this house had such a pull. We decided to spend one day watching the snow fall and light play on the mountains in the distance followed by some exploration of the extensive network of marked snowshoe trails starting in the backyard: it was the best day of our trip! The woods on the property are wonderful and the neighborhood trail system is well-marked and extensive. The owner was very welcoming and thoughtful in her advice and tips.
We would stay here again in a heartbeat!

Wonderful House!
We had a great weekend, and the house is even nicer than in the pictures. A good location far enough away to be secluded but close enough to plenty of restaurants, breweries, and skiing. Thank you Lisa for sharing your home with us.
