The cabin is in excellent condition, tastefully furnished and very clean. The only suggestion for the hosts is to replace some of the pots and pans as the non-stick coating is flaking. Maybe add a stainless steel pot and pan to avoid this issue. Overall the owners do a superb job maintaining the property and communication was excellent as well.

This was our second time staying at Muddy Moose and it was so wonderful. We truly did not want to leave. We were able to bring our dog, and he had so much fun running on the trails on the property (which are well marked and well groomed). The cabins are impeccably clean, as is the Moose barn (which has billiards, shuffleboard, arcade games, and more). Muddy moose is close enough for a quick trip to Stowe, but you don’t ever have to leave the property if you so choose. They have all the utensils and cookware, and everything else, you need for a night in. We can’t wait until next time!

We very much enjoyed the spacious and comfortable cabins at Muddy Moose. If I could build one myself it would be just like it, including the heated floors and fire place. Can’t think of a better and safer way to spend time away from home.

Everything about the cabin was amazing. We stayed in the two bedroom cabin 6. It was at the back of the property so it had great views and privacy. The cabin was fabulous inside, with everything you’d need. It was decorated in a tasteful way which retained its cabin feel without being a typical rustic cabin.We’ll definitely be back.

Clean, pretty and unique cabins, the owners Chuck and Christine are very nice and helpful. Great experience!

Our cabin was spacious and well appointed, with sweet touches for the holidays. The kitchen was well stocked for our cooking needs and all of the appliances (including washer/dryer) seemed brand new. We enjoyed the gas fireplace and picturesque views. And the beds were super comfortable. We plan to stay here again.

The Muddy Moose was fantastic, the cabin was cozy with great amenities, super clean, the views were stunning, the hiking very lovely.

We had a wonderful time at Muddy Moose and look forward to going again. The cabins are beautiful, clean and scenic. Very close to town as well. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. They also have an entertainment house with a pool table and pac man machine. It was a very lovely place.

a super great place for a family. We are live in the woods and have a hard time with the noise in town so the Moose fit our needs.

Excellent weekend with the family. Beautiful cabin nestled deep in the mountains. Gorgeous views totally secluded location. Close enough to Stowe while still having nice privacy. Will definitely be coming back to Muddy Moose for my next trip to Vermont.

Great place tucked into the woods, hiking trails, new cabins fully furnished, just excellent in every way! Great hosts helped get us set up and settled in. Thoroughly enjoyed it.

This little gem of a place is ideal for a couple or family looking to get away from it all. The cabins & main house are at the end of a dirt road but should not be an issue except in the worst of weather conditions. We stayed in Cabin 6 which was built this year. It had two bedrooms, fully equipped kitchen, a living room open to the kitchen, 1 bathroom with a shower & new washer/dryer, & a comfortable porch overlooking the meadow. There is a gas stove fireplace in the living room that adds to the charm of the cabin. There are large flat screen TVs in the living room & each of the bedrooms. The only negative aspect of the cabin was that the walls are thin & if you have two bedrooms & someone snores it will not be hidden by the sounds of nature outside :) Christine & Chuck are welcoming & organized. The check in packet we received contained all the necessary info for the property & basic necessities (e.g., grocery stores & restaurants). There is a "barn" on the property that serves as a rec room with a pool table which we didn't check out. We just wanted to relax & enjoy the nature. For our infant son a playpen was provided for him to sleep in & a blanket. We took short walks to visit the two horses & see the natural waterfall on the well-marked paths. The path can be a little tricky when visiting the waterfall but go slowly & it is very rewarding. Everything was well maintained & true to the pictures on the website. We loved the trip so much we are booked again.

The Muddy Moose is lovely, just a bit too far from Stowe. Also the dirt road entrance is not great

Loved our cabin! Had everything you could possibly think of & dogs are allowed. They even provided dog treats & dog bowls. Can't wait to go back.
