We loved our stay at Grand Beach! The house was perfect for our family of four. The layout was ideal, including a great primary bedroom that gave the adults their own space to unwind. The living room was cozy and comfortable. The pool was terrific and the outdoor lighting gave a welcoming night time ambiance. The beach toy selection was solid and our kiddos loved pulling the wagon of supplies to the beach. The walk to the beach was definitely less than 5 minutes -- even closer than we had anticipated. The beach is on the smaller side but was not at all crowded. The sunset views were indeed great. The house is also a reasonable walk to the playground. The yard across the driveway is large and we even saw a deer come through. Good food was a short drive away, and we got carryout several times. We came from central Indiana and were pleased to have found such a gem without having to travel farther north. (We had one issue but Gina handled it immediately and to our full satisfaction.) One of our very best VRBO experiences. We hope to be back!

We absolutely loved this house. This was our 5th year vacationing in Michigan and this was one of our favorites. The house was so beautiful and clean. It had everything we needed. The pool was wonderful for the kids. Just the right height for our 6 year old who enjoyed being able to touch and keep his head above the water. It was perfectly heated to my liking as well! The location was awesome too, a few houses away from a little beach perfect for collecting rocks and watching the sunset. A short walk to a playground area that also has volleyball nets, basketball courts and tennis. It was only a 5 minute drive into the town of New Buffalo. And Gina was so great to with. She had a basket of snacks upon our arrival which was nice. Communication was great. We had a few minor issues and she addressed them right away. We will for sure be back!

Our stay in Grand Beach was the best way to end our summer vacation. The house was just as described, incredibly clean, and stocked with essentials. The rental was missing a baby crib when we arrived and I reached out to Gina and she had one dropped off within the hour. It was the perfect little vacation super close to the very quiet beach. We spent the mornings at the beach and then the afternoons at the pool. The backyard was just right for our family with young children. The front yard was huge and gave the kids lots of room to run around. I especially loved how much storage was in the primary bedroom for all of our stuff. Will absolutely consider staying here again. The Resting Nest was a fabulous place to enjoy the beautiful Lake Michigan shoreline , the serene and peaceful surroundings of trees and rolling hills and a relaxing , well-appointed pool and amenities to swim and soak up the sun . We had a low key , rejuvenating stay and loved every minute of it! Accommodations were very comfortable, the owner was incredibly helpful and easy to reach and the large yard, complete with a fire pit was so nice !

Loved our stay, pool was great & heated, house was very cute and clean. Very close to the beach! Also enjoyed the playground/tennis courts nearby.

Excellent! This was our first time in Michigan and staying here. We loved the house and the location. The pool was amazing and it’s a block to the beach. The neighborhood was really quiet. The only visitors were a doe and her 2 baby deers. New Buffalo is minutes away with great food and shops and a great beach too. Plus we could always pop back across the border to Indiana to Michigan city for the dunes or shops or food as well. We’re already thinking about our next visit!

House was just as described. Everything we needed was there. Close to restaurants and we lucked out on the weather. The pool was awesome with water temp comfortable. The beach is super close and all u need for the beach and pool is in the pool house. Would recommend and plan to come back!

This place was all we could have asked for. In an adorable little neighborhood with very short walk to the beach, playground, golf & tennis. Beach was great and best of all a private pool too! We would do both just about every day. Short drive to New Buffalo restaurants & shopping. Super comfortable home, everything we could have asked for…it was a great find and hope to come back next year!

This quaint little beach community is wonderful. The home is so charming, clean, and cozy. The pool was warm when we arrived, and the lake access was close by. Gina was wonderful and provided a great list of everything you could want to know about the area. Excellent rental! Would absolutely come back!

Our family loved this home! The private pool was heated upon our arrival and had every imaginable pool float and toy waiting for us. My kids loved the basket of snacks and goodies in the kitchen. We were a close walk to the playground and even closer walk to the beach stair/access. The provided beach wagon, chairs, towels and toys were greatly appreciated. The beach was small and uncrowded. A great place for your kids to collect rocks or watch the sun set. The house has a very large side yard and a stocked fire pit across the driveway… perfect for the s’more utensils in the kitchen! The house was super clean, beds were comfy. We don’t need this any more, but the second full bath would have easily fit a portable crib/pack-n-play. You literally only need to pack yourself, clothes, and food. Everything else was provided! PLENTY of toilet paper, paper towels, shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, dishwasher and laundry detergent, shower and pool towels, games for rainy days, extra sheets, salt/pepper, etc. It was only an 8 minute drive to the shops and restaurants on the main street of New Buffalo. Would absolutely stay here again!

This was our 3rd stay at the Resting Nest and we had another amazing weekend! There was a slight issue with the pool heater on our first day, but Gina was at the home and on the phone with the repair guy within minutes of me sending her a message. The heater was fixed and we were able to enjoy the pool again the next afternoon! We are hoping to return again next year!

Great house in a great location! We visited this house in Grand Beach to explore the Dunes national and state parks and really enjoyed this location. The area was great for early runs, the little beach in walking distance was great for sunsets, and the setup of the house worked well for us. There were a ton of pool inflatables and toys that led to hours of fun. My son loved the wooden bingo set. I would definitely stay again.

This was the second time our family (2 adults, 3 kids) has stayed at this house. We absolutely love the property and the location. The house is super cute & clean and the pool is lovely. Gina is great & very responsive. We're aleady talking about our return trip again next summer!!

Great location for a quick getaway. House was the perfect size for our family of five. Very inviting and cozy! My oldest daughter called it her “dream house”. Quick walk to the lake. Very close to downtown New Buffalo. Also a reasonable drive to Indians Dunes. Would check it out again in the summer months when the pool is open!

This is my family's second time visiting the Resting Nest. I usually try to find different homes for different experiences, but this home had everything that my family wanted. One of the best things about it is that the pool is heated really well that the kids never complained the water was too cold like they normally do! Our experience with Gina was wonderful, as she was extremely responsive to any questions or concerns we had during our stay. I can't say enough great things about this home - I would definitely recommend checking it out.

Loved Resting Nest so much last summer, we were beyond excited to return. Lazy days by the pool, great food, incredible sunsets, nightswimming, and evenings at the firepit. Wash/rinse/repeat. Perfect. Gina is one of the best hosts I've ever dealt with - incredibly responsive, very thoughtful. Already thinking about/planning next year's trip!

This little village was so cute and quaint. Very quiet and family friendly. Gina was amazing at responding to us during check in and check out. We had 1 small issue that was resolved very quickly. The pool was perfect size for our family. House was clean and well done. We would go back again anytime.

Very clean and spacious with lots of light. All amenities are there for your comfort. The pool is great at 4’ deep and quite private with so many choices to sit and enjoy your time outside.

Had a wonderful stay with the family. The place was immaculate. This kids enjoyed the pool and the proximity of the walk down to the beach area. Anything you could possible need is available and Gina made the process smooth and easy. Would most definitely stay again!

We had such a great time during our stay! The location is perfect, the house is so clean and spacious, and the heated pool is the icing on the cake. Gina was so kind and a great host. Our two young boys didn't want to leave and keep asking when we can go back to the Resting Nest.

It was a bit of a cold weekend, but the 86 degree pool made sure we still had a great time. We never had to worry about our kids safety in this child friendly house. The quick walk to the lakeshore made it easy for us to enjoy the sunset before bedtime. Great place. We will be back.

More than anything I was impressed with the absolute cleanliness of this property. I am a clean freak and this was the first VRBO I walked around barefoot - it was THAT clean. Very impressed! The house was well appointed, I loved the soft towels, the comfortable bedding and little touches like soaps and essentials. The property manager, Gina, was amazing and communicated with us at every turn. When we arrived the WiFi wasn't working and she texted us even at 11:00 pm working tirelessly to resolve the problem with Comcast. She also greeted us when we arrived and let us know she lived down the street in case we needed anything. Since I was staying alone with my teenage son that was so comforting. Highly recommend!

This was the perfect home and location for a weekend getaway with my wife and 1 year old. The home is beautiful and maintained well; very clean and comfortable. (bring a baby gate if you have a baby/toddler, there is a step up/down by the kitchen). Beds are very comfortable, shower stays hot for a long time, wifi works great, TV had some issues connecting to the internet but we didn't really need it. There is a big outside area to run around and play in the grass which is also near a really nice fire pit. The owner surprised us with wood, prongs, a lighter, and smores too! Very unexpected and we loved it! We enjoyed the heated pool in the cool weather. (It was set at 65 degrees on arrival and it takes about 24 hours for the temp to reach 85 degrees). Very short walk to the steps (only a few steps) that take you down to the Lake Michigan access (less than 5 minutes). Beautiful view of the lake and there are A LOT of cool rocks to scavenge through! We enjoyed that very much. The owner also provides painting supplies to paint your rocks! Little added touches like that were such a fun surprise. There is also a 9 hole golf course within the establishment, unexpected and I loved that! The extra amenities really added to the trip. Only 5 minutes from the downtown area that includes several shops and restaurants. We also ventured to an apple orchard about 15 minutes away that was just perfect. Overall, it was fantastic and our family can't wait to come back!

This review is a little belated, but we stayed at Resting Nest for the second year in a row this past July. We have a 3-year old and the moment we got home from the trip she told us she preferred "the vacation house." The heated pool and the roomy yard cannot be beat, especially when you have a picky toddler whose whims change every few moments. The Grand Beach neighborhood is a gem and the short walk to the beach to watch gorgeous sunsets left with with amazing memories.
