We had an amazing stay at this beautiful and modern cabin which had so much to offer. Large open space with lots of natural light and good sized rooms. The location was perfect. It is private and peaceful along the lake, yet still very close to Kenora making it desirable and easy to run into town if needed. It was well equipped, clean and the owner was very accessible and great to work with. Highly recommend!

We stumbled across this cottage rental as we were trying to find available rentals in the area. The previous rental we were at was going to end and my sisters dog had gone missing. The owner was extremely empathic, Accommodating & kept in touch during the stay, to make sure we found our dog. I wish we would’ve found this place first, we were blown away as we made our final approach in the drive way. The cottage is nestled into a private piece of paradise. The cottage had giant floor to ceiling patio doors on the entire front, including the master bedroom, my favourite room with en-suite. I woke up every morning feeling like I was in heaven. A wrap around deck and stairs leading down to the lake. The cottage is well decorated, spacious and clean. We felt we were at home the moment we we walked in. The view of the river is GORGEOUS, there is a bald eagle nest across the river from the cottage, that is on untouched, beautiful, crown land. This home is 100% worth it. We would love to stay again and are even considering building in the same area, as we are so in awe of the place. Thank you so much Charney’s for sharing your beautiful family cottage. We could not have asked for a better place to stay on our vacation. This cabin has all the modern amenities you could need, on an extremely private and beautiful plot of land just a short drive from Kenora. We had a lovely week relaxing on the dock and kayaking around the river. Would definitely return!

Communication with the owner was always fast and friendly. The cabin is new, clean and in great condition. If you plan on making a campfire bring your axe or hatchet. Overall beautiful cabin with a fantastic view of Winnipeg river.

We were extremely fortunate to fnd this place. Very clean, super convenient, great fishing right off the dock or a little boat ride either side. My wife is very picky but she was super comfortable here. Very close to Kenora. We will be back for sure. Thank you Tina.

I cant express how happy I was to stumble upon this place to stay. The location is perfect to be away from it all yet you are close enough to go into town for anything you might need. If you have any questions the host was very quick to respond and easy to work with. The house is beautiful, well decorated, very clean, and nice and spacious. On top of that you cannot ask for a better view to wake up to every morning. We planned this trip mostly for a fishing getaway and wasnt disappointed. We caught tons of walleye, northern, and bass and didnt have to go far for any of it. Overall it was the perfect place for a vacation if you love the outdoors yet want some modern amenities to make life easy. Will definitely consider staying again in the future.

We had an amazing stay with our family at this beautiful location. The surroundings were breathtaking and the home itself was very spacious and met all of our needs! Can’t wait to book again!

We had wonderful time with our children and grandchildren. We even had Baba out for a couple of days The property is beautiful. The stairs were a bit tough for Baba, but we made it work Would definitely go back! The owners were really prompt at answering questions

As guests for 4 nights we absolutely enjoyed our stay. The home was beautiful, comfortable & clean. The scenery breathtaking & convenience to town appreciated. The property manager/owner was easy to reach & helpful! Would definitely recommend!!

The location, property and house are all amazing. We enjoyed spending most of our time outdoors, and the dock location is perfect for mooring your boat and provided access to a wide variety of areas on the Winnipeg River. The house is beautifully designed and functional for a family group with 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms - the TV set-up in the living room is excellent; and the AC keeps the temperature in the house comfortable in the summer. I would recommend this property to others and would stay at this property again, however I would also recommend some amenity improvements in order to keep the house up to the standard we would expect (1) new patio furniture is needed - there are only 2 plastic chairs available on the deck as the other chairs and tables have been destroyed over time. Plastic chairs are not what I would expect to match the high quality of the house, and the location lends to spending most time outside. We ended up buying some to use there and then took them back home with us (2) additional kitchen supplies are required, as there were limited glasses available (I assume these have also been broken and not replaced over time) and limited utensils as well (3) new kitchen and bathroom towels are required - the ones in the kitchen were too mildewy to use and I bought our own dishcloths to use; and some of the bathroom towels also smelled of mildew (4) it would be helpful to have both full Propane tanks provided for the BBQ and also firewood available on site - as per the owners information, both of these are available in town, but I would recommend that these be provided for guest use vs. needing to pick them up. One additional comment - there is not a convenient boat gas station available by this location; you can launch your boat at Perch Bay but they do not have gas available - we ended up buying and filling 2 - 25 gallon jerry cans to refill our boat. Overall we gave this a 4 star rating, however it could easily be a 5 star with a few changes!!

We had a wonderful week in June at this very lovely cabin which has a well equipped kitchen and deck with wonderful views of the Winnipeg River and is conveniently close to the town of Kenora. I would definitely stay here again!! There are stairs so you need to be able to get up and down stairs to access the lake.

Our family of 8 thoroughly enjoyed our time at this cabin. It's not often that a rental is better than the pictures. Updated, modern, yet comfortable. My only suggestion would be to add some sort of railing to the "steps" to get down to the lower dock. My mother in law wasn't able to join us down there as it was way too steep.

Owners are very nice and easy to deal with. Beautiful home on the river, very private and close to town also. Highly recommended :)

Very clean. Quiet getaway by winnipeg river. Close to tunnel island - nice hiking and biking trails. Also minutes from Kenora if you need something. Space was perfect for our 9 month old - very clean and large open space to crawl and play. Only 2 small FYI's Short climb to get down to dock. There was construction occurring in lot next door - but noise was limited to brief periods during day. Kayaking east from cabin - river current seemed to get quite strong- I had difficulty paddling back on a couple occasions!

We had such an amazing time! Super modern, fully equipped, with so much to do! We enjoyed every minute! Thank you tons for a fantastic week!

The place was as beautiful as the other reviews would have you believe. Also, it was the cleanest VRBO place any of us had ever used. There are three things that I will point out that you need to be aware of: 1. Do not drive to the house pulling a good sized boat behind a king cab pickup. You will work yourself half to death getting it out. (My boat is 19 ft. long and 8 feet wide.) If you have a boat with you, put your truck in reverse when you see the propane bottle and back it into a notch behind you. 2. We thought because the owners mentioned putting towels the washer and dryer before you leave that we would have use of the washer and dryer while we were there. Not so. 3. While there is a propane grill there, the owners don't supply propane. There may or may not be sufficient propane on sight, but if you run out you are supposed to buy propane and leave it for the next guests. To me, that made the propane grill unusable.
