It was great and definitely needed after a long terrible drive in the snowy conditions

The bed and the pillows were sooooo uncomfortable.
The heater was hard to control the temperature with as it looked like it was from the 90’s. room was either too hot or too cold.
Room is not soundproof at all. Anytime anyone opened or closed a door my door would also move.
They said someone would come clean the room after the 3rd night. It was actually after the 4th night and all they did was give new hand and face towels, and empty the garbage. Bed wasn’t made, floor wasn’t vacuumed even though it’s winter and floor was covered in dirt.
Front desk staff were all very friendly.

This hotel had a low rating on Expedia and I almost didn't say here. But honestly the renovated rooms are absolutely fine and the beds are really comfy. I don't know why the reviews are so low. It was the perfect type of hotel to stay at on a cross Canada journey. The only critique I have is the breakfast, which could be better.

7/10 king bed I understand it’s a touristy area but it was fairly expensive for the room provided. Also not sound proof whatsoever could hear conversations and footsteps in the halls like they are in the room with us.

It took almost 20 minutes to check in. Gal at front desk was knew and had to call manager on everything. The sliding door wouldn’t lock and the air conditioning was so loud it woke you up all night.

Room was nice and clean. Service horrible. Breakfast was not served. Management claimed the person did not show up to serve. I doubt there even was such a person because upon my inspection—-the pancake making machine was posted “out of order”, the fridge for yogurt etc was turned off and not operational, the juice dispenser was empty and shut down, and the room appeared unused and not set up with things such as napkins had there been any intent to serve. They should have been honest and simply told people upon making a reservation or at check in that they were not serving breakfast instead of lying.

Unfortunately, this was an “off” day for the hotel. We were given the wrong room that was occupied and woke those people up entering the room. After getting that resolved, we went to the correct room to find one bath towel for two of us. When we asked for more towels, they had none and gave us more hand towels. Not the best hotel stay.

We came in off the road after five hours of the swing and sway of car travel, we both had to pee like mad people who were not going to make it to the facility, the on desk call clerk, Shuey said ya’all can use the staff facility. Oh, good, you saved the day, we were also a tad early, but not be fazed, the Shoe man put us into a great room likely-split, thank you so much. From the time we pulled up to the front doors and into the very nice , clean room was about eight minutes flat, congratulations Comfort Inn and thank you so much, peace-out😎❤️

The staff were friendly and helpful. I booked a room labelled pet friendly through hotels.ca, but that information did not translate and the lady had to switch our room. The main issue with the place is that there is no sound proofing. We were woken at 4:30am by a baby crying and woken again about every hour after that with the sounds of children, doors, people talking, etc. We also heard the children running and playing clearly up until 10pm the evening previously. Everything was relatively clean and comfortable but our standards weren’t high for a motel.

We changed rooms because the first room was not clean, and the second room was not very clean either, and had previous patron’s takeout left on the top of the cabinet. The sliding doors were very dirty and there was garbage in front of our room sliding doors.

Compared to other properties in the area, this one is about as good as you will get. The staff was friendly and helpful, the room was comfortable ( I think the rooms were recently renovated) and quiet and the included breakfast was good enough. The property must be pretty decent as we stay there whenever we're in Kenora.

First the patio doors where open … than somebody had used the bathroom before us , urine drops on toilet seat, water drops in sink and mostly what grossed us most was stains in the bed sheets …
