Had a awesome stay, was better then expected. If you have a small child I would suggest bringing a baby gate as the spiral stair case is in the main area. Also, couldn’t find any life jackets so suggest bringing your own. Overall lovely stay :)

What a great stay!

We just returned from an amazing week at this beautiful lake front house. The house is really clean , the beds are comfortable, we especially loved the huge deck area off the main level , we lived out there!! We all made use of the kayaks and SUP and the small boat on the pristine lake. Shari & Glenn are great to deal with and are quick to answer any questions you may have ! I wanted to book for next year but there’s no availability!! We highly recommend this property , you’ll love it !

In this time of Covid it was lovely to be surrounded by trees and the lake. Never used hand sanitizer once! Lovely and clean, loads of fun ( and stairs!). Everyone one of us from age 5-65 had a blast. Our weather wasn't the best but there was so much to do no one minded.

This is a wonderful property. Proximity to the mountains made this a great spot for our winter/ski getaway. The lakefront is undoubtedly amazing in summer. The place is spacious, clean and comfortable. It is well stocked and the games room was a big hit with the kids.

This place is awesome. You couldn’t find a better place to stay at a lake, especially if you have children, and “adult” kids. Lots of lake and other toys as listed in description. Kitchen has “everything” you need! Owners are very easy and agreeable to communicate with. We will probably make a third trip, worth the 8 hour drive.

We stayed over the Canada Day long weekend in this beautiful lake house and we loved every minute of it. The attention to detail is amazing. We had everything we needed. The kids loved the ping pong table, foosball table, kayaks, paddle boards and all the space in the basement. We cooked every meal on the bbq and ate every meal outside on the covered deck. Heffley Lake is a gem. It's so quiet, calm and relaxing. Perfect family lake vacation. Thank you so much for opening your home to us Shari and Darryl.

Greatly enjoyed our stay at this property. Owners were very easy and professional to deal with. The property is very well maintained and the location is wonderful. You can tell there is a pride in ownership with this property. Would definitely come back fro another stay.

Beautiful, serene setting

The home on the lake is a dream. My group loved it! Everything about the house was so thoughtfully planned down to the details. It was beautiful and functional and cozy and fun! What a fantastic weekend we had. We were genuinely impressed and I can say truly that the accommodations drastically impacted the quality of our trip in the positive. We played football on the frozen lake, utilized the ping pong and foosball tables downstairs, burned dozens of logs in the fireplace, and cooked every night. It will be hard to beat the expectation moving forward on our annual trip for years to come. We are grateful for the host's graciousness and professionalism throughout the process - I appreciated a pre-trip phone call and written instructions with tips and everything we needed to know.

Stunning lakeside home. Superb location and home had everything we needed, and more. It was so peaceful by the lake, the weather was kind to us so we were able to make use of the paddle boards and kayaks. Owners were extremely helpful and even called in during our stay to check everything was ok. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this gorgeous home and would highly recommend it.

Everything you could need for a fantastic lake getaway. Owners extremely friendly and accommodating. Lots of friendly email contact. What you see in the pictures and descriptions of the house were right on. Lots of kitchen supplies, more then I have ever had in other vacation rentals. Lots of board and other games for evenings or rain days. Could not have asked for better. There were 8 of us, 3 kids and 5 adults and we all had a great time. Would definitely rent again.

We had a wonderful girls getaway weekend this past weekend to celebrate a milestone birthday. This place was perfect For the size of our group (9). Initially we were hoping to take advantage of the kayaks, paddle boards, fire pit, ping pong table, and outside kitchen but the weather had other plans so all of our time was spent hanging around the huge island in the kitchen. The kitchen is equipped with everything you could possibly need including basic spices, Saran Wrap, food storage containers, and lots of wine glasses. The kitchen table could easily have accommodated 12 but our group was smaller. We played games, listened to music, drank wine and ate food all weekend. It was perfect! The entire home was well equipped and very clean. Beds were comfortable and there was ample bedding. When the weather did clear we went on a hike on Embleton Mountain, literally right up the road, with great well marked hiking trails and beautiful fall scenery. There are trails along the road the property is on as well to go for nice easier strolls. We would love to come back in the summer when we we can fully take advantage of the many amenities this property has to offer. We commented several times that our hosts had literally thought of every possible thing that could make the stay perfect...it really was a wonderful stay! The only negative would be the stairs down to the dock and fire pit. Could be difficult for small children and the elderly so take caution! Also the spiral staircase to the lower level could be challenging for some but there is an alternative route outside. All in all we loved it! We stayed Sept 2 - 9. We fell in love with HLC2.0 and Heffley Lake! Weather was warm, clear and sunny for the first 6 days. Perfect for hours of relaxing on the docks (lots of shade under the canopy tent), swimming in the clear "brisk" water and using the paddle boards (everyone mastered it!), kayaks and peddle boat. The bar fridge on the lounging deck at the shore was super convenient. Cottage itself is a smart and wonderful blend of "cottagey/modern", with lots of space and gorgeous new kitchen well equipped with everything. Surprise bonus was the 2nd full size fridge on the deck to accommodate all our beverages and the huge high-end BBQ. We've stayed at 14 VRBO cottages around BC; never seen such gorgeous decks, customized to match the cottage, complete with every convenience, comfort and non-stop views. When not on the docks we spent all our time on the decks. Bring some peanuts in the shell and the resident little red squirrel will provide hours of entertainment and laughs. The decks are both fully-covered (mega smart to keep hot sun off) but so well designed that there's lots of fresh air movement. Loved the outdoor shower on the lower deck. Showering in privacy in the warm air and sunshine with gorgeous views through the trees to the lake was a real luxury. The upper floor bedrooms are really comfortable and the bathrooms modern and new. The lower floor "kids room" was the perfect place for those who liked to sleep in a cooler area. There's intermittent cell service on the dock and in places on the road but we were all happy to get away from texts and calls. The wi-fi is super fast for those who couldn't resist posting pics on Facebook and checking emails. Weather cooled off significantly on last day bringing a much needed downpour and showers. That turned what had been beautiful evergreen-scented air all week into the most amazingly fragrant and fresh air any of us had experienced. It was wonderful. The owners Shari and Darryl are very friendly, professional and a pleasure to deal with. Note: 1. While the steps/walk down to the dock may seem a bit daunting at first (72 solid steps) it was no problem at all; even my 93 year old Dad made it down and back a couple times (carefully) with his walking sticks. 2. Reminder to bring your own life jackets. Shari has it in the instructions she sent but I missed it so we popped in to Kamloops to buy some.

Had a fabulous time with friends at a great place!! The home is perfect for a family or with a friend group! The house is so well equipped! The kitchen is completely stocked with everything you will need! The rooms are super comfortable!! Great updated bathrooms! The decks are incredible, great views and plenty of room for everyone. Great BBQ section, and the best outdoor seating! This is a fabulous location for summer fun or for winter skiing! Loved everything about this place. You will not be disappointed! The owners were super accommodating and kind. I hope all future guests will have as great of time as we did, enjoy!!

Beautiful cottage with ample room for everyone had everything we needed. Loved the covered deck and the docks with access to the water. We will definitely be back wish we could stay longer.

We chose Heffley Lake Cabin 2.0 to have family vacation. Grandparents, Aunts, Uncles, Nieces, Nephews, Cousins... We all had a great time. I am happy to have found this "cabin" and it will be our go to house at Heffley in the future. Worth every penny spent. Kids (and some adults) learned to paddleboard and kayak. It was particularly nice to slow down and spend time together; No hustle and bustle of an amusement park vacation. ;) The kitchen is well stocked as advertised. Darryl and Shari are very accommodating. This place does not disappoint.

Great cabin! Well equipped kitchen. Perfect for a family vacation. Loved it for our home base when skiing at sun peaks. I imagine it will be the most amazing summer retreat!
