Situé dans la prestigieuse Mecque de la planche à voile d'Island Creek à Avon, East Wind est une grande maison de 5 chambres sur le son avec son propre accès à la plage. Lancez votre planche ou votre cerf-volant depuis votre propre arrière-cour! Quel plaisir d'amener plusieurs invités à EASTWIND! Cette maison a un grand plan d'étage ouvert au niveau supérieur offrant une cuisine bien équipée avec un îlot, une salle à manger spacieuse et un beau salon avec une vue fantastique sur le son. Il y a aussi un petit grenier où vous pouvez avoir une vue encore meilleure de l'eau. Plusieurs ponts offrent la possibilité de profiter de couchers de soleil spectaculaires et d'une observation quotidienne des oiseaux aquatiques et des amateurs de sports nautiques. Le dernier étage dispose également d'une suite parentale avec une salle de bains privative. En fait, toutes les 5 chambres ont leur propre salle de bain. Si vous avez besoin de plus d'espace pour dormir, le deuxième niveau dispose également d'une autre salle familiale dotée d'un nouveau canapé-lit queen-size. 3 chambres avec bains sont également au 2ème niveau. Le premier niveau a une grande chambre avec 3 lits jumeaux ... certainement super pour les enfants! La maison a plusieurs ponts ... le deuxième niveau a un tout nouveau bain à remous où l'on peut profiter de la vue magnifique tout en s'y imprégnant. Le niveau inférieur a une salle de jeux avec une table de billard réglementaire, une télévision et un réfrigérateur. L'entrée extérieure couverte a plusieurs crochets pour accrocher tous vos équipements de planche à voile et de kite. Entouré de magnifiques zones humides et de la faune, vous êtes prêt à profiter de vacances de rêve sur cette propriété au bord de l'eau. Island Creek possède également une piscine publique à votre disposition ainsi qu'une rampe de mise à l'eau et un quai. La plage de l'océan est également à distance de marche si vous voulez surfer sur les vagues! Avon est également très pratique car il possède de superbes boutiques, la jetée d'Avon, un large éventail de merveilleux restaurants et la proximité de Food Lion, le seul grand supermarché de l'île Hatteras. Avon a également une piste cyclable pour courir et faire du vélo sur toute la longueur du village. Vous allez adorer EASTWIND et vous allez adorer AVON!

The house was perfect for our family to come together to celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary. It was our daughter and son and their families. There was plenty of bedrooms for everyone as well as private bathrooms. There was room for everyone to spread out and find their favorite place to chill. My reason for 3 stars on cleanliness was that there were empty bottles and other miscellaneous items under some of the beds that was overlooked by the cleaning crew.. The linen service worked well, except for the fact that they did not send a king sized sheet for the master bedroom. What came in the king size bundle was a queen sized fitted sheet and we could not get it on the bed. The location was gorgeous. I didn't realize that there was no beach access from the dock there. Overall we had an amazing vacation and loved the house and area.

The house was perfect for our huge family (8 kids ranging from 6 up to 20). We absolutely loved playing in the sound and hanging out on the dock as well as heading out in kayaks and rented paddle boards to explore. The ocean/beach was a quick walk from the house and groceries etc was super close. I highly recommend this property!

Was very nice clean house . Work had been put into house fresh paint on outside / new roof from year before. House is much larger than would think. Only recommendation felt like linens could have been provided than having to go thru rental service .

The house fit all of us comfortably with the many bedroom options. A plus would be if they offered linens like most rentals. Having to pack sheets & towels is a big hassle. The house was spacious but a bit dated. Beautiful views but for older folks - it’s a lot of stairs - just fyi. Nice location with dock for fishing and riding kayaks.

Water access is not optimal for windsurfing or kiting but sharing neighbor's walkway makes it work.

The house was really nice and clean.We enjoyed the views of the sound and sunsets. Short walk to the ocean to see the beach and a couple of sunrises!

Pros: Property was in a great location with nice views of the sound. Easy walk to the ocean across the street. Nice Kitty Hawk Kites 1 min walk. House had plenty of bedrooms and a bathroom in each. Nice decks and hot tubs to watch the sunset. Pool easy walk and empty most of the time. Cons: Common area/kitchen daily small and the house was older with 80’s decor. House was clean but the linoleum is old to the point of being faded and sticky in the kitchen.

The house was perfect for our group of 12. The sound access was easy, and perfect to paddle board and kayak. The house had a few kayaks on the property we were able to use. The beach was an easy walk, just across the road. We had rented bikes that made the beach access even easier. Communication with the property manager was quick and very easy. Definitely would recommend and rent again!

We had a fantastic week. Great weather, perfect house for our family of 12. Beautiful views, the hot tub is a plus, short walk to the beach, loved being on the sound, and enjoyed kayaking. We loved watching the kiters and all the wildlife too! Great location!

The pictures on the web site about the water access and boardwalk are not accurate. They should be renewed. The new-actual boardwalk and shoreline are both obstructed and are not user friendly. But, we had the possibility to use a neighbors boardwalk.

Property was exactly as posted. Loved the decks, pool table, views of the kite surfers!! Master bedroom bed was comfortable, and we’re a bit picky about mattresses. Nicely appointed kitchen where I made family dinners every night. Great, quiet location and property manager was super responsive. Hope to return again. Thank you, East Wind!

Everything about this exceeded our expectations. Check-in was so easy, had great communication with the owner and it was very clean. House was as advertised and we quickly saw why all the previous reviews were so awesome! Had a great amount of space for our group and loved the back deck and dock....but those sunset views😍!!! Wow! Thank you so much for a great space for us! We made some awesome lifelong memories and plan to make this our stop every other year when we stay soundfront! Thanks!

This is a beautiful house but needs a bit of maintenance. The sliding door to the main upper deck is very hard to open and close. The dryer takes over two hours to dry a load consisting of only three pares of jeans. Several deck boards on the decks and outside stairs feel weak under load. One tread on the stairs on the front steps has cracked and curled up to the extent that it has become a trip hazard. Overall the house is a good place to stay. It is clean, the kitchen is well equipped and easy to work in. Bathrooms are comfortable and the showers are clean and work well.

What a great house for our family vacation! Super clean ready on time! Short walk to the beach and the walkway to our sound was new and very nice! One of our favorite places! Hot tub was amazing!! Overall a great experience!! We had three couple a teen and a 2 year old! All family! We all had a blast!! We enjoyed the pool table! And the decks for the sunsets were perfect!! Can't wait to rent this same place again!! Thank you for making our first family vacation a great one!!!!

Really enjoyed the house. The kitchen is well equipped. The dock on the sound is not properly pictured, there is no small beach at the end of the dock.

We truly enjoyed our week spending time with our family and friends. Issues we had during the week were compensated for and we are appreciative. Love the Avon area and will definitely be back.

Big house on the sound on the northern edge of Avon. 5 bedrooms with a sleeper sofa (not comfortable) in the middle floor living room. Nice hot tub and we'll stocked kitchen. Short 10 min walk to the ocean beach. 5 min walk to community pool on the loop just to the north. 4 kayaks and 4 paddles. Perfect for windsurfing and kite board enthusiasts.

We had another great vacation at East Wind. This is our 19th year staying at this property and we wouldn’t stay anywhere else! We are already looking forward to next year. The property managers are wonderful and always very responsive to any inquiries.

Also setup not really suitable for kiteboarding. We used boardwalk and beach of neighboring place as no one was there. Nice spacious house though with nice games room and pool table.

Was in town for the tournament and this house was a great snag for the price and location. The owner was easy to communicate with and overall the house was better than expected.

Wonderful family reunion location…we cooked and played games and took lots of day trips up and down the Outer Banks. The house was comfortable and clean, and the jacuzzi was so fun!
