Brought 4 families together for a fun vacation

We are a group of women who were in Nurses training 55 years ago. We get together yearly now for 5 days or so to reconnect and enjoy each others company. This house was perfect for us as we each had our own bedroom, but there were penalty of areas to gather. House was very clean and well equipped. Great location with amazing sunsets and close to all we wanted to do. 15 minutes from the airport. Joseph was responsive to our needs also. Thanks so much for making this property available to us.

House was as advertised. Tons of towels, bedding, utensils, dishes (have rented 15 person homes that only have 8 place settings...). Nice amenities toys for kids, pool toys, hammock, plenty of seating both indoor and outdoor. Clean. Manager was prompt at check in and check out. Great location. 5 Pages of house rules to review and sign at check-in (quiet times at pool 8pm, nothing down the garbage disposal etc...). Street is very quiet at night but really busy with slow traffic and lookyloos at sunset.

The property description write up needs to make it much clearer that the house is NOT air conditioned. Why does this matter with the Pacific Ocean across the street? The house faces due west and it gets quite hot on sunny days. If the marine layer settles in the house gets quite humid and not very comfortable.
Just a heads up but overall the house is ok but in need of some upkeep. No AC needs to be made clearer.

We were looking for a house that can hold our large family and this fits the bill. The communication between I and the company (manages the rental) is great. Joe and Dylan took care of every issues we encountered.
The house is dated, still it has everything we need to make ourselves comfortable. When we need our own space, we can also find it in the house as well.
We did not know that CA requires fencing around the pool, and that is appreciated as we have a almost 2-year old in our group.
A few things that can be improved: screens at every door (to keep the flies from coming in), light fixtures tested (quarterly) to ensure adequate lighting.
We'd consider renting this place again if we choose to come back to San Diego. A nice stay at a great location.

We had 10 adults, 2 toddlers and an infant, and the property accommodated us all perfectly, with room to spare. Fabulous location, fantastic views. Very well appointed home - while we didn’t cook much, everything we would have needed was there. Joseph is an outstanding and gracious host, and went out of his way to make sure we had everything we needed. Highly recommend any large group if you need a home base with all (or more) of the comforts of home. If we ever travel as a group to San Diego again, we would definitely book this home.

First let me say that this place is quite lovely. There are mostly pros, but the cons are here too.
First, the host is great, very available and very supportive of your needs. The properties location is top notch, and the house has a very well supplied kitchen, towels, sheets and blankets.
The cons are that 1. Its pretty dated and needs a bit of a safety inspection. Loose or non-existant hand rails for stairs, old falling apart porch furniture, one of the wall mounted sinks conpletly broke off the wall and almost smashed my foot. When i looked closer it was literally plastered to the wall with no beam support to the structure. 2. If you want a private pool, this isn't your place. While the pool is fully private and centered in the home, theres a video camera pointed right at it and functioning 24/7 i have a teenage daughter and neices there and found that a little creepy and invasive. Also if youre thinking of a romantic evening swim or hot tub... think again and smile cause you're on camera. This leads to the 3rd point of the terrible neighbors and quiet rules. If you have a quiet group that shuts things down around 8pm then this is your place (outdoor activities end at 8pm) also $300 noise charges are there and can be very subjective. One neighbor is apparently 89yo and doesnt like noise. So we literally had to be inside with all doors and windows closed so we don't get hit with a noise violation (quite hot in there with no AC). Other side neighbor 2 houses down blamed me for having a dog on the property, which was the house next door, dog sitting, they were very quick to blame me and the host had to come verify and calm everyone down. Bottom line if you're a chill quiet group this is a great place, if you want to stay up past 8pm this is not your place.

We hosted my and my husband’s family for one week in ONE house for our elopement marriage on sunset cliffs. The house and host were very accommodating and comfortable fit all 16 of us in one house! The host was very responsive and easy to reach. I would definitely rent from this host again!

This home accommodated our group perfectly. It was unusually well stocked with plenty of dishes, cookware, kitchen appliances and containers. The owner made sure there were staples in the pantry as well as plenty of paper goods, garbage bags, etc for our stay. The moms of the group greatly appreciated the secure pool area, lots of pool toys and lots of other toys for the children. The manager was very responsive to questions and issues, and was very helpful in making sure we had a smooth check-in and check-out process. The location is incredible, with spectacular daily ocean sunsets, and close to shopping, walking trails and other amenities. The home and furnishings are not new--in places they show the age of having multiple sets of renters, but they are all very functional. Upon request, the manager promptly switched out a couple of chairs that needed repairing. While this place was expensive (end of July)(but reasonably appropriate for the size and location), it is certainly on our list of potential repeats!

Villa Magnifica is just that!
This was the second time to stay at Villa Magnifica and it did not disappoint. What a beautiful view of the ocean and the house accommodated our large party with room to spare. It is in a great location, easy access to all venues. The glass fronted porch area is perfect for people watching and enjoying the weather. Will definitely book this house again when we are in San Diego. Joseph and his staff are fabulous to work with.

Beautiful retreat
We very much enjoyed our stay. The property has a gorgeous view of the sunset Cliffs that you can walk down and walk along the water in front of the home. There are also trails that go along the cliffs. The home is well stocked with bathroom supplies including shampoo soap’s toothbrushes conditioner etc. which is very helpful. They also have a fully stocked kitchen and plenty of bed linens comforters pillows towels and linens. The home is very spacious with a great layout to spread out on the property. The pool is beautiful but was too cold for us to use it this season. Joseph was very readily available to help us with a couple questions we have when needed and very kind. Make sure when you book it if you need the guest house note that that’s an additional fee in addition to what might be on the website. The kitchen is a full kitchen in the guest house as well which is very helpful. The guesthouse is also adjacent to the pool but has a different key access and is separated from the main house but only 5 feet away from the house entrance which was great for us. Great place and beautiful views!

STUNNING VIEWS
The property accommodated my large family for my nieces wedding. It allowed plenty of living spaces so that we weren't ontop of each other. The bedrooms were large enough with plenty of bathrooms. The kitchen was stocked with everything you would need to cook or entertain. It has beautiful views, great location, a little dated and could use a deep cleaning. But overall I was pleased with our stay. If you have older people staying with you, help them with the stairs as there is no hand railing and you have to park in front.

Spring Break Family Vacation
Our family stayed at Villa Magnifica for Spring Break. There were 18 of us- 8 adults and ten children. The villa was perfect for our family. We enjoyed the sunsets, the pool, and the spacious home. The home supplied us with all the amenities we needed. The location was also excellent, as we left each day to enjoy the many attractions San Diego has to offer.

House is very well laid out for multi generation families. The rooms are separate with bathrooms for each. We gave the house a five star review, as it worked very well; it is very clean, but is a bit datedThe kitchen was very well stocked, there are numerous toys for kids and pool toys as well. The location is great; the views of the ocean at sunset is spectacular, it’s a short drive to Ocean Beach and town. Also very easy to get in town to the zoo, Balboa Park, etc. Joseph, our host was extremely responsive to any inquiries

The location is absolutely stunning. The view of the ocean is absolutely beautiful. The kitchen has great supplies. The property was perfect for our large group. Everyone had a bed and there were plenty of towels. It's not a 'brand new' home but everything was impeccably clean and spotless. It felt very sanitized and properly cared for. The only thing I wish I knew is that you have to request the pool to be heated and it takes 6-8 hours to heat up. Other than that, it was a wonderful stay!

We had a great long weekend at Sunset Cliffs. We arrived late and Joseph was there to help check in. The propane for the gas grill and fire pit were empty and Joe was able to get them replaced immediately. Overall a good property. Not a fan of the fenced pool and cost to heat it, but we ended up hanging out around the city, so it wasn’t a big deal.

Great family getaway
This home was amazing for hosting me and my family. We had 3 generations under one roof with plenty of space for everyone. Kitchen was well equipped and we had everything needed to cook and enjoy. The pool was great for the kids to swim around durring the day and the sunsets from the porch were amazing. We will definitely stay here again when traveling through the area.

What a view!
This house satisfied our needs. The location was fantastic. We were able to sleep eleven comfortably with beds to spare. The kitchen is amply appointed with glassware, flatware, and cookware. We were disappointed to find the ice maker not working. The dishes were all plastic and while there were many plates of all different sizes there was a notable shortage of bowls. The house itself seems a bit tired and stuffy and it was necessary to keep the doors and windows open. The ocean was quite smelly while we were there so the open doors and windows compounded that unpleasantness. There were fans in some of the bedrooms and that definitely helped. The swimming pool was nice but the necessary fencing made it less than inviting . The rules, hours of operation and lack of controls for the jets left the hot tub useless for us. The house was pet friendly and that was a big plus. The two patios on the front overlooking the ocean were where we spent most of our time and they were definitely the jewel in the crown for this house. The property manager was very pleasant and was available and ready to be of service. All in all this house filled the bill - not too precious but more than adequate oceanfront accommodation.

Huge house with great living areas for all ages. Perfect deck for morning coffee after dinner sunset views. Perfect location on the beach … close to everything but out of the loud areas. Plenty of towels, bedding, shower amenities, etc. Property manager is on top of everything and can remedy any issues within minutes. House could use some TLC but other than that it’s perfect.
