The property was very clean and beautiful. Everything was as expected, no surprises. Bob was a sweetheart and made sure to greet us on arrival and stopped over the night before we left to say good bye. We loved coming back to the house after a full day of activities to relax and unwind. It was so peaceful. Added bonus for our teenage girls was Diamond, Bob's pet horse that lives on the property. They enjoyed giving him his treats and lots of love. FIVE STARS! Oh and.....Bob and his wife are famous :)

We chose this location because it was outside of Rapid City, away from the traffic and noise. This is a pretty ranch property about 15-20 miles from town so, you’re out in the countryside which we wanted. There’s one horse on the property and he enjoys your attention. Some mornings we woke up to deer exploring around the corral or wild turkeys walking past the front door. And the stars at night! Wow! Also garage parking for our car. Only one shower/bathtub. But there were only two of us. You’ll find your host (Bob) one of the nicest, friendliest, accommodating people out there. We just loved him and even visited his nearby ranch. He was waiting at the property when we arrived and showed us all around and made sure we were settled in properly. The property is centrally located to all the area’s attractions. Mt Rushmore, Custer State Park, Crazy Horse, Wind Cave, and the Mammoth Site were all nearby. We drove about an hour back I90 to spend the day in the Bad Lands and another day we drove up through Sturgis and onward to Devil’s Tower. Now, again, you’re out in the country so not much dining options. There’s a small diner/grill nearby (we did not visit) and an excellent pizza shop nearby too. In Hermosa, there’s a small grocery store to get your essentials. We stopped in Rapid City at a major chain grocery for our week’s supplies on out way into Hermosa. I’ll mention again that our host was just nice a nice person. We were completely satisfied with our visit to this property i

Bob and Donna are two of the nicest people you could ever meet! The kind of people you hope to meet in your life. Bob even called us a couple times to check on us or see if we needed anything and to let us know some local things going on. We rented the same house a couple years ago and couldn’t wait to get back, it felt like home. It’s cozy and comfortable. The location is perfect for going and seeing all the sights. We even took a day trip to Wyoming to see Devil’s Tower, which is only a couple hours from there. We will probably go back again some day and will definitely stay here! ❤️❤️❤️

Property was absolutely amazing. Beautiful view in the center of all our activities. Gas and groceries were close at hand as well as a pizza place. Bob and Donna were the perfect hosts. Bob answered all of our questions about things to see in the area. Meeting and visiting with Bob and Donna was a highlight of our trip. P.S. Peaceful and quiet. About 20min to mammoth site. And an easy loop for Custer State Park, Crazy Horse, and Mount Rushmore. About an hour to sturgis, near Deadwood. Great views on the roads to all the tourist sites. There is a mom and pop grocery store about 20min away, but the travel gas station just up the road has a great selection. The Adventure Park is only about 15min away. Bob was a great host and met us on arrival. We did not stop to see his animals, but he did offer. Nice to get away from the busy tourist attractions but still close by.

I am normally a beach person, but this home and owner make me want to stay in the hills! The location was perfect for all we wanted to do: Mt Rushmore, crazy horse, keystone train ride, Custer Park, driving needles highway, Deadwood, chapel in the hills, bear country USA, great breakfast in rapid city and Hermosa, the chuck wagon dinner and show at Fort hays, the Badlands. We saw so much and still didn't see it all. The view at Bob's is unparalleled, especially sunrise. But the reviews here don't even do justice to Bob, he was the nicest person I've ever met. I loved loved loved staying in a Christian home. It was clean, so comfortable and safe. And we definitely want to go back someday if not just to see Bob❤️

The views here are absolutely breathtaking. This home was the cherry on top of a wonderful vacation. The pictures in the listing do not do it justice. Bob was wonderful, welcoming, and kind. The home had everything we needed; it was cozy, clean, and comfortable. When we make it back to South Dakota, we will absolutely try to stay here again.

Bob and Donna are very gracious hosts. The house has beautiful views from sunrise to sunset. It is a perfect base of operations for exploring the area.

Our experience with the area was great. Mr. Bob is an excellent host. He called us a couple of times to make sure we were ok and made us feel like we were in our own home. He also provided some tips to see the local attractions. If your going to the Rapid City area, this is the place to stay.

Beautiful location, great central location to see all the sights. Cute, clean, comfy house with everything we needed for a week’s stay. But, the best was Bob (and Donna)! I’ve never had such an attentive host who truly cared about us and our vacation. When heavy snow came in our last day, he called to make sure we knew roads were closed and see if we had enough food. ❤️ We LOVED our stay!

I highly recommend Bob and Donna’s property. It just feels like home and can accommodate a large family. It is a clean home that is well stocked. Good internet too. The kitchen had everything needed to cook a great meal. The home is up on a hill so great sunrise and sunset views.

We loved staying at Bob and Donna's place. It was conveniently located near many main attractions and was the perfect place to relax after a day of exploring. We especially loved sitting on the porch for dinner and enjoying the amazing views. The beds were comfy and the kitchen was well stocked. Bob greeted us when we arrived and showed us around, and also offered for our kids to give his cows treats. We took him up on that on our last night there. We also got to meet his horse, Diamond. We'd recommend this to anyone looking for a home away from home during their visit!

Bob & Donna have a, clean, comfortable, enjoyable, amazing home to stay at. Everything you need to stay. Great location to see the local sites, Custer Park, Mt. Rushmore, Crazy Horse. A great place to come back to from all the motorcycling riding during the day. Close enough to Sturgis for the rally but far enough away to rest. Thank you for an wonderful time Bob! Beautiful view, very quiet up on the hill, we sat outside every night, Bob was super nice and helpful, One complaint, modernize the up stairs toilet, to small for my big but😂😂

Our stay at this property was simply amazing. Bob is an awesome host...we are so gratefulto have met him. The location was perfect...very strategic for getting to all of the major sites. The house was beautiful and easy to get to. We would recommend this to anyone and would easily stay there again!

Bob was a great host and we enjoyed his property very much. Beautiful view to the south overlooking the valley below with horses and cattle grazing all around. This was a great resting place and gateway to Custer State Park was awesome.
