Firefly - 2 Houses on 1 Spectacular Property
Comme quelque chose d'un "Southern Living" magazine, cette 1,950 cabine originale a été entièrement restauré. Il est rare, car il est à seulement 12 pieds du bord de l'eau et vous ne pouvez plus construire que près de la rive. Nous avons utilisé des artefacts récupérés à partir de la cabine d'origine lorsque cela est possible. C'est rustique mais a tout le confort moderne. A côté se trouve la maison principale avec 4 chambres supplémentaires et 2 salles de bain.
Situé sur le lac Wylie, nous sommes une courte distance à 25 minutes de Uptown Charlotte. Ces deux maisons sont situées sur une propriété de 1,2 hectare et possède plus de 350 pieds de front de mer avec beaucoup de terrasses pour profiter et se détendre. Vous avez une utilisation illimitée de nos kayaks, planches à pagaie et pédalo ou vous êtes invités à apporter votre propre bateau si vous le souhaitez. Et si vous souhaitez louer un ponton pour la journée, nous pouvons également organiser cela.

I’m so happy we decided to stay at this property. It was the perfect fit for our family reunion as family from FL, AL, NC, WV and DC all converged on Lake Wylie in Belmont to spend quality time together. The house and cabin gave us plenty of room to spread out and not be on top of one another. The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed since we cooked in two nights. We loved having the option of a gas or charcoal grill as well. The third night we had a great meal in downtown Belmont, which has many great dining options. There is also plenty of outdoor living areas to enjoy, and the kids’ play set was an added bonus. We highlyrecommend this property and stay here again.

Goodness what a wonderful property. The property is perfect for a large family get together. The views are excellent and both homes were very pretty. We would definitely stay here again. Renting a boat with a tube is a must do!

Our daughter got married at Camelot Meadows which is just across the lake from this property. Most of our family is from out of town and this was the perfect location for us to stay together for a weekend of celebrating with super easy access to the venue and other event sites in Belmont. It’s convenient to stores and restaurants and activities with a quiet lake view and property setting. It has plenty of space, clean and well appointed. Having sheets, towels, bath & kitchen amenities all provided really made it so easy for a hectic weekend. Lots of room for yard games and lake fun. Highly recommend.

Stayed w/ 4 couples and 5 kids <4yrs of age. Firefly guest house offered ample space to spread out and a well stocked kitchen to support. Bubbas cabin provided separated space, which proved advantageous for late evenings without disruption of the little ones. Boat rental was convenient and Lake Wylie, to our surprise, turned out to be quiet over a Labor Day weekend. Recommend!

Great Lake House for families!
We had a family reunion in the area and used the house as our main gathering place. It turned out great! Between the two houses, the decks, the yard (with a playset), the shuffleboard table, and of course the lake, it kept everybody busy and happy. We rented a pontoon boat with floats through Adam as well and that definitely was a highlight for the kids. Overall it was a great property and the pictures and description are on point. And a beautiful view of the lake with all the windows and decks (of course, that also means lots of light in the morning if you're in the front bedroom lol). Just a small note that while there isn't a ton of restaurants / grocery stores right nearby, they're not more than 15 minutes away and we easily found places that deliver.

Enjoyable Stay
The property was very enjoyable. We had 6 adults and rented both the main and guest house. Great living spaces for everyone to congregate and having the guest house was nice for our large group.
You can't beat the location on the water - very relaxing and peaceful.
The kitchen was also very well-equipped so it made cooking for our group easy.
One thing to note is that many of the bedrooms are next to the living areas so might not be ideal for light sleepers.

Perfect lake getaway
We stayed at Firefly for a long.weekend and the family had a blast. We had 5 teenagers and 3 adults and there was room for everyone. The outdoor space is lovely for entertaining and we had our extended family over one day for an outdoor birthday gathering. The sunrise off the back porch is worth waking up and sunsets from the boat on the lake just breathtaking. The water was still warm enough for swimming and tubing as well! Adam welcomed us and was a wonderful host.

Family wedding
We came to North Carolina for a family wedding, wanted a place that all of us could be comfortable and relax, had 3 generations staying here together. The Firefly and Bubba’s cabin was absolutely fantastic to stay at. Very well stocked, instructions for both places were spot on and everything was labeled. Have rented places before that you just had to quess where stuff was or what light switches work for what light, not here which was nice. Thank you for a beautiful and relaxing time

Great Birthday Celebration
Overall, it's a great property with perfect access to everything. Had a great time boating from one end to the other and just hanging out on the dock with stand up boards and kayaks. Very nice home that is plenty big along with a great cabin for that feeling of getting away from everything. It made the special birthday celebration special.

My family and I had an amazing time here!! The property is absolutely gorgeous with lots of room for the kids to play; both outdoors and indoors. Stunning views no matter where you are. The hosts were wonderful and incredibly accommodating. We hope to be back soon!

Wedding Weekend
We got married in Gastonia and booked this property for our out of town wedding party to stay. We were able to stay in the smaller cabin on the property after our wedding. It was the perfect spot for significant others to hang out while the bridal party got ready. The wedding party also hung out the day after the wedding. This property is right on the water with a beautiful view. The kitchen and the toys we’re stocked and everyone had a great time

Fabulous Property for a Get Away
We wanted a nice lakefront property that could house our family and a few friends while still giving plenty of space and privacy. The cabins were perfectly set up and comfortable. The property owners addressed any additional questions or needs immediately, which was greatly appreciated. We definitely will be back!

Multi-family Vacation
This was an awesome lake house and cabin. We had an amazing time on the pontoon boat and tubed daily. Would highly recommend the weekly rental! The renter gave us tips on where to go on the lake for some cool rock jumps, made us reservations to golf and was very accommodating. Everyone enjoyed themselves and had a lot of fun. Was a little surprised at how hot the lake water was (Lol) but we ventured down south a little bit and found much cooler water. There was a lot of outdoor seating and space to spread out. Definitely a must go if you’re looking for a relaxing place for everyone to enjoy.

Weekend Get-a-way
We had 2 families on our little trip, and the 2-house set-up was perfect for us. Both houses are well equipped, and the location on Lake Wylie is ideal - especially if you are planning to rent a boat and do some tubing with the family (which we highly recommend!!). The outside seating areas were great to relax in morning, noon and night - there was always a great spot with the right breeze.
We really did have a great trip, and the owner was great ... he was responsive to questions quickly and helpful with his guidance.

Girls reunion
Perfect spot for 6 high school friends to reunite for a girls weekend. Even a rainy day was lovely in the cabin. Our hosts couldn't have been nicer or more responsive. Thank you for a lovely long weekend on the lake!
We toured Muddy River Distillery, had lunch at String Bean in downtown Belmont, and a day visit to Stowe Botanical Gardens gave us plenty of things to do before evenings by the fireplace with wine and conversations.

We had a family reunion in Charlotte with a lot of local family. There were 13 of us from out of town and Bubbas cabin was perfect. There was enough room for all of us. We would definitely stay there again.

Cozy and Casual Getaway
Stayed here for my dad’s 70th. We gave him the Cabin and our other two families stayed in the main house. The cabin is immaculately renovated with an amazing rustic feel! Amazing views, and great decks to hang out on. The main house as a few updates, but was plenty big for 8 of us (including 6 small children). All the bedrooms are in the back of the house. The family room, den and kitchen are all open and look out to the lake. The kitchen is older and small, so we used the cabins oven for a couple meals. There are two docks, one is great for swimming and jumping. We did notice there was no paddle boat, which was mentioned in the description. There are, however, several kayaks and paddle boards. Also more than enough life vests for all sizes, floats, some water toys. We also opted to rent the pontoon and tube for a day. Totally worth it! Traffic was pretty heavy, as the lake is narrow around the house, but so much fun for all of us. Adam was super easy to reach and very accommodating as well! We would highly recommend this house and cabin!

Beautiful lakeside home near Charlotte
We had a great stay at this rental, both the main home and the cabin had great views of the lake, were well maintained, and had great amenities. We were traveling with 3 young children, and the main house had a great layout to give them some space to play in view of the kitchen and other gathering areas. We really enjoyed the kayaks and paddle boat on the lake (even in the cold!) and the location was convenient for quick trips into Belmont and Gastonia for supplies and brewery stops. Adam was very responsive throughout without being intrusive. We will definitely look into this place again and highly recommend it!

Thank you Adam! You have a stunning cabin. The place is incredibly relaxing. I enjoyed hanging out in the kitchen baking treats for my loved ones while soaking in the lake view. Since we were there during the hurricane, we watched the lake, watched movies, grazed and napped. Just stop by the grocery store and bring your favorites everything else is made available. If you need anything grocery stores are near by. We definitely have decided to let Bubba’s
Place be our new family tradition. Next time we’re hoping to really enjoy the water! You won’t regret going to Bubba’s Place!

Loved our stay!
Bubba's Cabin provided the perfect get away for us. If you are looking for serenity, this is it. We loved the renovations...the wall of windows is amazing. The cabin was incredibly clean and ready for us when we arrived, and it is very well equipped. We enjoyed the paddle boards and kayaks, and we brought our boat, so the lake provided days of perfect entertainment. This is truly a great spot on the lake, and we can't wait to return!

Fantabulous!
The wall of windows facing the lake provide gorgeous, awe inspiring views. The host, Adam, is very friendly, accommodating, and respectful of privacy. He was quick to respond and very easy to work with. We enjoyed the great paddle boat, paddle boards and kayaks that were provided. The house was very clean and welcoming. Well stocked kitchen, comfortable beds and plenty of outdoor spaces to relax in. Look at the book on the renovation - it's amazing what Adam has done! I can definitely recommend this lake house and we hope to return! Thanks for sharing this gem - we hope to return soon!

Clean, modern, BEAUTIFUL w/ an unbeatable view
We found Bubba's Cabin while looking for temporary housing as we moved from Chicago to Charlotte and ended up staying there for close to 2 months. The cabin is the perfect combination of modern and rustic. And the owners provide the absolute perfect combination of friendly hospitality, while still respecting the privacy of their guests. We felt immediately at home and were pleasantly surprised at the well-stocked kitchen that allowed us to cook like we were at home. And the photos you see online don't even do justice to the amazing view of the lake that will greet you each day there. We're so appreciative of the opportunity to stay there. We'll definitely go back when the weather is warmer and we can actually get ON the lake. And we highly recommend Bubba's Cabin to anyone looking for a little piece of heaven here on earth!
