Great property and met our needs. One suggestion- the large windows need some type of covering. The condo really heated up during the day from the sun. Power to the area was lost during our stay for 24 hours and it got hot with no fans running to the point sleep was tough one night.

Everything about the actual property was great. Nicely decorated, comfortable seating and a complete kitchen. It was just getting to the property was the problem. From the parking area to getting to the main living required 88 stair steps. At almost 8000 ft elevation and the 3 people staying there being 75, 80 and 81it was quite the workout for us. Perfect except for that!

The condo itself was super nice! Very clean and plenty of room for our family of 4. We had an issue when we first arrived with the code on the door lock, but Sarah responded very quickly and was able to resolved the problem. I don’t remember the listing mentioning there was no AC, and even though you’re in the mountains it was very hot during the day (like hit you in the face hot when you opened the door). My only other complaint was the amount of stairs there were. From the parking lot to the front door, there are 85 steps. So if stairs are a dealbreaker, then this house is not for you. Other than no AC and all the stairs, this place was fantastic.

The location could not be beat for access to the slopes. The condo was a good size for two adults and a teen. The kitchen was small but well stocked. We enjoyed our stay, with two exceptions. We specifically chose this unit because it had a hot tub on the deck that we wanted to use after skiing. It was broken and could not be used. Although there is apparently a community hot tub, we didn't find it and it was snowing and cold and we didn't want to have to walk in freezing temperatures. The other is that the heat stopped working. Although the gas fireplace worked somewhat, the downstairs bedroom with the door closed was extremely cold. Outside temperatures were below freezing. The owners were responsive to calls, but a partial refund would have been nice given the issues. There are many steps to access the unit. It did not present a problem for us, but it's exhausting after a day of skiing.

We had a very nice stay here during our ski trip. It had everything we needed. The overall condition of the condo clean but probably could use a little upgrading. Loved being able to walk just a couple of minutes to the Stagecoach lift. Very quiet and private location. Our only disappointment was not being able to adjust the temperature on the hot tub. We did not realize the instructions for the raising the temperature on the hot tub had a very specific button sequence. If it is not followed correctly it will cause the temperature mode to revert to cool. So we never got a chance to use it after a long day of skiing! Despite that mishap we will definitely considers staying here again. The host was very helpful and responsive to our questions.

The property overall was nice. The stairs are no joke. There were some minor things like the chair cushions weren't all firmly attached and the kitchen is tight. But overall everything was fairly well appointed aside from the fact that the hot tub was broken before we got there. This fact was not made clear to us initially and the repair part was unavailable for the duration of our stay. There are many properties available near the slopes but the primary reason we chose this one was for the private hot tub. This significantly reduced the value of the property and despite being responding about the issue, I would have preferred knowing about it up front when the repair man was there on our check in day instead of 2 days later. I also had to request information every time instead of being told it. There were several ants seen in the property in the bathroom, on the ceiling, and one in the bed.

We stayed a week in January for a ski trip with our 2 daughters. It is located by the Stagecoach lift all the way up the mountain. It takes about 15 minutes to drive down and get into the main town and you MUST have a 4 wheel vehicle for winter to drive the terrain and mountain roads.Yes, there are a lot of stairs to get to the front door but it's very manageable. The kitchen has everything to cook and eat in, but it could really use a pizza pan. The hot tub struggles to stay heated when the cover is off and immediately plummets to 100 from 104 once you get in. The downstairs bathroom could use a refresh with its shower head and the mattress in that bedroom was quite bouncy. If one person moved, the other felt it. The upstairs bedroom is open to the downstairs and really should be filled in. The blind is fine for privacy, but it doesn't provide much as a sound barrier. The upstairs mattress is very comfortable and there is a lot of storage for clothes and gear. The couches are comfy but are starting to look a little tired and warn in a couple places. It could use a couple square ottoman stools for putting feet up or drinks on. There are no window coverings on the 1st level so it feels a little like living in a fishbowl at night, even if there aren't neighbors close by. The condo is a great for it's proximity to Stagecoach and staying on the mountain.

We were unfortunate to visit when there was no snow - but we were a short walk from Stagecoach lodge and lift. Would've been perfect!
Instead, we got to hang out in a great cabin that was large enough for the three of us to not feel cramped. Solid kitchen with great cooking essentials (regular pans, not abused teflon!), lovely fireplace, some board games, and comfortable seating. Lovely hosts!

House was great, perfect for two couples. Clean and well stocked. It was the easiest check out list I have ever had at a vacation rental!!
If you prefer a lot of privacy this may not be the place for you as the upstairs bedroom is open to the main living area with just a blind to close for privacy. Heat was hard to keep at comfortable temp between upstairs and down. We just layered up so we could adjust as needed. And the stairs up are no joke with luggage, pack small bags ;)
All that being said, we would absolutely stay here again.

After a long drive we were looking forward to checking in and getting some sleep. When we arrived the code did not work and when we contacted the property owner they did not answer. If it was not for Vrbo support we would have needed to sleep in our car. We were able to book a hotel that was covered by Vrbo.
Granted the property owner was apologetic afterwards.
The property itself was fine.

We had a great time staying at this location. It had that log cabin fill on the inside.

Unit inside is updated. We’ll appointed, super clean and comfortable! Thoroughly enjoyed our stay, 10 mins to So. Tahoe, Clyde’s Coffee House is just down the road in your way, highly recommend for fresh made pastries and bagels, plus other breakfasts. Condo sits in a lovely wooded area right by Stagecoach lift. Outside in need of repairs, but unit next door was getting refaced, did not take away from the gorgeous interior. Stairs are dicey, and plentiful, my friend had a huge suitcase to lug up. Overall I would highly recommend for any season, I’m sure for snow it’s amazing having the slope access!

Great little house but just be prepared there are about three flights of stairs to get to the front door.

Overall very nice, super comfortable beds and sofas, newer carpet and clean. Not for the out of shape. Ninety steps to get into the living space. Small issue with moths and ants. Desperately in need of a dish dry rack and not delighted with the 1 ply toilet paper.

The condo was perfect for 3 adults. Very cozy and clean. Excellent location. Hot tub for the win! Hosts were great and fast to communicate when needed. Great place for a ski or summer vacation!

The cabin was great with all the ideal amenities and a close walk to stagecoach lift.

We stayed during a VERY snowy week and had a fantastic time. The condo was beautiful, comfortable, and clean. We felt very much at home there. The hot tub was awesome, views were so beautiful we didn't watch TV, just looked out the picture window. It is a bit of a hike up the stairs, but Jose cleared the steps for us every morning. He's great. The Stagecoach lodge stored our skis which made the stair climb much less of an issue. Just be nice and tip the folks in the ski shop. Would stay here again for sure!

We had a great time here in Lake Tahoe. This place was perfect for us and walking distance to the Stagecoach lift which made it very convenient for skiing. We would definitely stay here again!!

Convenient to two heavenly locations - walk to one, short drive to other. Place felt like a warm welcoming ski lodge home with a lot of nice touches and decor to accent the place. Awesome windows to watch snow fall. Owner was very supportive, helpful and communicative! We would stay here again!

Place was great . Short up hill walk to the Stagecoach lift and lodge. It snowed every day . There are 83 stairs outside to go up . If your going for a week, and are not in shape think again because they don’t get shoveled first thing , also if you have a car you have to dig it out yourself! Another set of 25 stairs inside to get to the master bed. Great showers and TV . Very nice living areas with gas fire place loved this after day out on the slopes . Very very pretty view of all the snow and trees . Very cozy and away from any town .

The hosts were great, as we had some minor issues arise during our stay, Sara was very quick to respond and handled every issue immediately.
The location is a very short walk from the Stagecoach lift, great access to the lift and lodge location.
As I read previous reviews we were prepared for "the stairs", the stairs are not that bad, but when you add a crazy amount of snow, then the challenge begins.
There are two areas on the stairs, about 6 feet each with no hand railing, and we slid and fell in those areas due to ice on the steps - this is most likely the HOA responsibility and not the hosts, so be aware with icy stair conditions, in addition if the "stair shovelers" aren't around, be prepared to shovel them yourself, as we did.
When the conditions are great be prepared to navigate for your parking space as they are taken up by others enjoying the mountain, even though it is permit parking. We called the enforcement division to clear our parking area so we had a place to park, their response was to call a tow truck at our expense.
The only other item I see needs a bit of improving is the cleanliness of the condo mostly in the kitchen, pots/pans/plates were put away with food burnt and stuck on, refrigerator/freezer not cleaned and had rotting food.

This is a great choice if you need a clean and nice place to stay. It’s a bit off the beaten path in the shoulder season. Pretty quiet. Everything was functional and sufficient.

The condo was lovely, but there were 84 steep stairs to get to the front door! ...and no lights at night for the stairs....wish that would have been better communicated. Once inside, condo was lovely.
4.0
The condo was nice, adequate for our short 2-night stay. The one thing not mentioned in the description is that the unit is many, many stairs from the street parking level. Don’t bring anything heavy if you stay in this unit because lugging it up and down all those steps would be difficult

The home was nice and comfortable. However the stairs to the front door can be pretty challenging with luggage.
It was pretty hot in the house with no A/C. Even at night with the windows always open it did not really cool down.
Other than those two things it was a nice atmosphere to stay at!

Great stay in the summer. Condo was very nice inside, very clean, and fit our needs perfectly. The stairs getting up are no joke, but overall I would book this place again. Thank you for your hospitality!

Stairway to Heavenly
The place way great!! Unfortunately 85+ stairs was a killer for me (I need a hip replacement) and my best friend has had knee replacements. I will know next time to asks about access. Kitchen faucet needs to be tightened. The place was super clean the the new carpet was nice.

Beautiful unit. Great location. Easy entry. Property owner very helpful. Wish the list had mentioned all the stairs. Regardless we enjoyed our stay.

A Great Ski Location
The property was clean, comfortable, well appointed and met our needs (4 of us). We were easily able to prepare meals and enjoy the views, along with a cozy experience. The gas fireplace and outdoor hot tub were an added bonus, following a day of skiing. Parking is just below the unit with a significant number of stairs to the property, which could be a challenge for anyone with mobility issues. It wasn't a problem for us. We were just grateful that we found such a good property, so near the Heavenly list. We would return, when the snow returns.

Wonderful Lake Tahoe Retreat
We loved this beautifully decorated, comfortable, roomy, clean property. Amenities were great; hot tub on back deck was fabulous for “après-ski” each afternoon after the grueling days carving up the slopes; kitchen has full-size fridge, oven, dishwasher, coffee maker, microwave, and all the dishes, flatware, cutlery, utensils, needed; bedrooms were roomy with comfy beds; bathrooms were clean and included a hair dryer and washer/dryer. TVs and Wi-Fi were great. Steps up to entry door were somewhat long, but completely do-able if you’re in reasonable shape and are at Tahoe for skiing or hiking. Extremely convenient to Heavenly Stagecoach lodge and ski lift. We would definitely rent this cozy “cabin” (what we lovingly called it) again!

Great location for Skiing at Heavenly

Wonderful location and amenities
We loved this condo. We were there for a ski weekend, and the place was a short walk to the Stagecoach lift, so we got a full days skiing without having to bother with parking or shuttles. The condo itself was very comfortable for our family, with the gas fireplace and hot tub being perfect for a winter holiday. Beds were very comfortable and Sarah was a wonderful host! The stair up to the front door weren’t bad at all. I stayed at a nearby property two years ago that had much steeper and longer stairs, so I was pleasantly surprised how these were less steep and more manageable.

Comfortable condo but the stairs are no joke
Nicely appointed, comfortable condo close to stagecoach lift. Beds were very comfortable after a long ski day. Stairs up and down are NO JOKE, especially with luggage. There are about 90 of them.

Great spot for skiing heavenly
This was an awesome rental that was exactly like the pictures and listing.
I’ll start with the negatives (I hate to even call them that) because they’re super minor. First, there are no blinds or shades in the big living room windows. The sun comes in in the morning and heats the kitchen/living room area up very quickly. It also makes it impossible to watch any tv because of the glare and because the sofa is right in the sun. Next, the master bedroom is an upstairs loft that is super nice and VERY comfortable. However, being a loft any noise from downstairs is very easily heard, so if you’re a light sleeper it could be an issue. We used the box fan provided to act as sort of a noise machine and that worked very well for us.
Now that the “bad” is out of the way - the positives. Basically anything else you could think of. The private hot tub on the balcony was perfect after a long day of riding/skiing. The condo is very nicely sized and had more than enough room for our party of three. The furnishings were great (super comfortable beds and sofa/loveseat) and the linens were probably the best of any rental I’ve ever stayed in. I know it’s an odd thing to point out, but the bath towels were super soft! The provided soap and shampoo/conditioner were also very nice and not just some cheap dollar store offerings.
The kitchen had everything we needed to cook at the condo and we did so three times.
The location for skiing/riding at heavenly is amazing. It’s 200 yards from the stagecoach lift and that is amazing. It’s an incredibly easy walk and keeps you from having to fight traffic and parking.
You’re about 15 mins from heavenly village on the California side and it’s a super easy drive to get there.
Overall this was a fantastic place to stay and will definitely look for it again should we make another trip to south Tahoe.

Very cozy, enjoyable and convenient!
All amenities, cleanliness and condo layout were excellent. Perfect for two couples (kids could sleep on couches). Kitchen, fireplace and hot tub made the visit very cozy. A short walk to the Stagecoach lift was a big plus!

Great location
This is not a ski in/ski out but it is definitely close to the lift. A doable walk though the stairs are killer after a day on the slopes.

Prior to our planned stay, communication by the owner was delayed at best. We did not end up staying there because our flights were cancelled due to Covid over Christmas. Not to mention, even if we would have been able to get there, the roads were completely impassible for days due to record breaking snowfall. Despite our request for at least some relief/refund because we were physically not able to be there for our stay, owner refused to help at all. Due to the owners unwillingness to compromise, we would not recommend this property to anyone.
