Amenez votre famille dans notre maison pittoresque et somnolente au bord du lac sur la rive nord désireuse du barrage du lac 6000 acres à Ocklawaha, en Floride, où Ma Barker a eu sa célèbre fusillade avec le FBI en 1935! "Edith Ott's Cottage" (millésime 1936) est parfaitement situé à 10 miles de The Villages, à 14 miles d'Ocala, à 55 miles de l'Université de Floride, à 70 miles de Disney et à 90 minutes de chaque côte. Le soleil se lève et les couchers de soleil seront appréciés à partir d'une terrasse arrière parfaite donnant sur la plage de sable blanc de 100 pieds et ombragée toute la journée sous d'énormes chênes vivants. Vous voulez en profiter de l'intérieur? Le porche bonus est chauffé et climatisé et offre une vue spectaculaire sur le lac / la plage depuis ses trois murs de fenêtres. Cuisine mise à jour, laveuse, sécheuse, télévision par câble et wifi. 3 chambres (2 w / vue sur le lac et maître ouvre sur le pont) et 2 bains. Natation, pêche, kayak, ski nautique, wakeboard, paddle board et plus encore dans votre cour arrière. Venez profiter de la vie relaxante et décontractée du lac! Ce n'est PAS un duplex. Il a simplement des portes d'entrée séparées et est un "plan divisé".

So good stuff first, it was in a good location and close to the boat ramp. Plenty of parking. Right off the lake, probably would have been great for jet skis to come right up to the house. It was a very old house and the air conditioning was an issue, you're not allowed to make it lower than 75 so it was fairly hot. The biggest issue we had with it was the bugs, there were ants coming in the window. They were in the carpet, on the ceiling. They weren't fire ants, and I'm a Floridian so ants don't usually bother me as long as they aren't fire ants, but that's not what I expect when I rent a house. It was nice enough but we won't be returning.

Very friendly host! Cute little home, but very dark. Sunroom was nice!! Unfortunately, it rained a lot, so we didn’t get to enjoy the wonderful lake as much as we wanted The house could use more user friendly tv’s, or at least instructions. DVD player was there but no dvd’s. Master tv only got 2 stations. A few new amenities for the bathrooms would be nice also

Great property, right on lake w tie ups for our boat. Beautiful view of lake. 3rd bedroom was at least 10 degrees warmer than rest of house which made sleeping less comfortable.

Very nice but older home in great neighborhood with beautiful views at lakeside. A short drive to launch boat. Great host. We had problem with frig not cooling. Called & he took care of it while we were out boating on the lake. Can’t beat that for customer service!

Very nice property with a well stocked kitchen and great views of Lake Weir. We also really liked the sunroom and the split bedroom layout! It was a tad bit hard to find the right gate in the dark, so try to arrive during the daytime the first day.

Excellent Hosts, Beautiful View and Great Lake house
This was our 4th stay at Ott Cottage. The deck and front porch overlooking lake is fabulous. Accommodations were super. Excellent lake for boating, swimming and fishing. Everything provided and could ask for a better view.

Family friendly.
The only problem was the air temp was too warm at night. We are used to sleeping at a temp of 68 to 70. 75 is ok for the daytime but not comfortable for sleeping. The property was well equipped for cooking and . Everyone enjoyed their stay and the lake. We would consider coming back. It is a beautiful and relaxing spot.

Lake Weir Vacation
The cottage was great. Just what we wanted in a stay at the lake. We were able to put our boat in at a nearby boat ramp and the property had a great place for us to tie our boat up. The view from the cottage to lake was also grwat. Look firward to being to go bCk for another stay

Relaxing lake getaway
Had a wonderful time at the cottage, the kids didn’t want to leave the lake. We enjoyed the views and convenience to everything. The cottage was well appointed, clean and had everything we needed for a relaxing stay. Kent was great and answered all our questions promptly.

Very cozy cabin.
The cottage was very nice and clean. I kind of felt I was stepping back in time to grandma’s.. We enjoyed ourselves very much, and hope to return someday. Merry Christmas

Excellent accommodations and fantastic location.
Always a pleasure to spend time at the Ott cottage. Great view, location and grandchildren has great time swimming, tubing and we did some serious fishing. Already booked for next year.

The perfect property
The property was absolutely perfect. Nestled between several gorgeous large homes is the cottage. Rustic yet perfect in every way, there was nothing missing from the property at all. The best feature in my opinion is the Florida room we ate all meals and did all of our catching up there, all while gazing at the lake. Can’t wait to visit again with the rest of my family!

Beautiful lake getaway
Had a great time with family on the lake. Would have loved to have a beach area, but did not hinder our enjoyment (less sand to clean up). Water was lovely. Lots of toys for kids to play with too! Boat ramp was a short 10 min. Drive away. House met our needs, though slightly cramped entrance. Keep food put away in kitchen.

Very nice stay, owners have made check-in and out very easy, quick, & painless. It was not a perfect place but overall very comfortable. I think it is a really great value for the price.

Peaceful getaway
We wanted a location to escape the Covid madness and this was perfect. It was quiet and relaxing right on the water. The owner who lives next door let us use his dock which my husband immensely enjoyed having his morning coffee while watching the sunrise.

Locaion is phenomenal. The vintage style lakefront cottage is located on relaxed, serene waterfront lot. Plenty of room for outdoor activities.

Our Favorite Summer Stay!
This is our 4th year here and this has become the favorite summer vacation spot for the entire family. The house has everything we need, it's well kept and a beautiful location on the lake. And of course Kent and Dana are the perfect hosts! See you next year.
