Beautiful view off the deck of the bay. Fun yard to play in with kids. Great for multiple families. Cozy on a rainy day. Close to town, the beach, and hikes. We had a great stay with young kids and multiple families!

This house is wonderfully located on a quiet spit of land facing a back bay on Lopez island. Lots of space and two great covered decks looking out onto the bay. Great table space for games or enjoying a meal. The couch is also really cozy for reading a book or watching a movie. We enjoyed walking and exploring the shoreline and seeing the bunnies try to get into the neighbors garden!

The space in the house is great for 6-8 people because of the great deck. Floors were not swept but bathrooms were clean and nice linens. Bee hive or hornet's nest above deck. We needed to buy toilet paper. We'd go back!

We had a wonderful stay! Linens, paper towels, toilet paper cups, bowls, silverware and bath towels were plentiful. Bedrooms were good size and comfortable. We saw bald eagles from the deck and got to see sea planes taking off and landing. Kitchen is small and there is not a dishwasher. We would stay here again.

The wall of windows and covered porch make the place!! Private and quiet dead end road with access to beaches, walking& biking right out the door. Only a few minutes drive to Lopez Village for bike & kayak rentals, restaurants and shops.
The kitchen is simply equipped, missing a few basics, with an awkward configuration if you are planning to cook.

Stayed here with my sister's family and mine, we had 3 kids and 4 adults, but really could have squeezed a few more in. Beds were plentiful and having 4 separate rooms was fantastic.
The location was fabulous with great views and an awesome big backyard to play in.
Only issue we had was a severe lack of cups! There were far too view drinking glasses and mugs for a large group. An extra cutting board would have been nice also.

The home had black mold in the bedrooms. The downstairs bedroom had horrible smell and the laundry room next to it was full of chemicals and rat traps. The bath towels were dirty. The home was not clean. The home manager was great with communication and we asked to leave the property and he refunsed us and apologized.

This was a nice place to stay and use as a home base for the weekend on Lopez. We came for the "Tour de Lopez" and especially enjoyed hanging out on the back porch after the ride. Due to conflicts that came up for some of the family, there was a lot more space than we needed, but it would be nice for a larger group, too, and the price was still very reasonable. It's a quiet location, a little out of the way, but very peaceful!

We were moved into this house after the previous house we stayed had issues. This house was spacious and adequate. It had plenty of rooms and space for everyone in our family. The kitchen is stocked with kitchenware, but they were old and worn. The kitchen utilities were functional, but also a bit dated. There was no dishwasher. But, everything worked and we were able to prepare meals. The house has a great deck and is spacious with various rooms for everyone to spread out. There are 2 bathrooms, 1 upstairs and 1 downstairs and are very functional. The house is a little ways out, but that can be a nice thing since it was quiet and peaceful.

If you want a vacation rental- book we’ll in advance. I was planning a trip in May for late July for Friday Harbor and everything was booked. We ended up on Lopez Island and only a few rentals were available
Booking is easy and communication is good but they sent us the wrong address and code for the lockbox. We struggled to open with no luck. I texted them to find out they gave us the wrong address. Once we got to the right place- it opened immediately. The place was not clean. Urine on the toilet seat and bowl want clean. The refrigerator drawer had a spill in the drawer and created a ring around the drawer. Told me the fridge wasn’t cleaned and it was obvious. There are dead bugs on the window sills. Surprisingly, they wanted us out at 10am with no late check out . I can’t believe anyone would think it’s acceptable. A few of the burners didn’t work as I was cooking breakfast.
It was nice that there were clean, folded linens and towels, the beds were made and the kitchen stocked with basic condiments; salt, pepper, olive oil.
Laundry- washer and dryer is nice to do laundry. The place is secluded.

The view is amazing, location and layout of home was great. The home needs some deep cleaning. There were spiders, in the closets, corners and edges of the carpet. Carpet had several stains. Appliances were old and refrigerator would not stay closed.

Concerns included need for more basic amenities like kitchen towels, toilet paper, and we needed to call for kitchen garbage bags. The kitchen could use an upgrade in cookware, and the grill needs an upgrade or to be maintained. Concerns that are easily addressed and should not make the determination of booking the house or not!

Do not rent this house unless you plan to spend most of your stay cleaning it. The house is in horrible condition and customer service is nonexistent.
Having stayed in many VRBOs and other rentals in multiple countries, I can safely say this is the worst rental I have ever encountered. The sheets were stained and dirty, the floors covered in dirt, stains on the walls, every dish in the kitchen was filthy, as were the pots and pans. We spent the entirety of our first night in the property washing sheets and towels (including towels in the pantry, which were also disgusting), and scrubbing the kitchen to make it usable.
The "cleaning fee" the company charges is a scam, since it has very clearly not been cleaned in years.
We notified the corporate owner/renter of the property of these issues by e-mail and text; but the company never replied.
Other low-lights:
* The roof leaks, so bring buckets. If it rains, it drips in the living room.
* The back door was open and unlocked when we arrived, so there are clear safety concerns.
* The kitchen appliances are ancient and barely functional.
* The stove is so dirty that anytime you turn it on, it burns the residue from the past dozen occupants that the company never cleaned up after.
* The barbecue grates are broken.
* The lounges on the front deck are also broken.
* In addition to the surface-level filth, the house needs a very, very deep clean. The stains on the walls and ceilings are obviously not new.
It's tempting to give the house another star because of the location (excellent), how great Lopez Island is, and the ease of getting into Lopez village, but the reality is that the house itself is an embarrassment.
You will have problems renting it, and the rental company is unresponsive.

Beautiful Home but noticed a few thing
It was a beautiful stay. Only thing that stood out was once you enter the home it has an unpleasant smell. Kinda like a smoker smell. Everything was beautiful. The beds were great although I did have black leggings on and when I got up my leggings were covered in dog or cat fur. Same thing happened while we were sitting in the living (note I don’t own animals) nothing to do with the house but we were sad to not really find any local seafood restaurants open. Very little opens for eating out.

The upstairs bedrooms were also spacious and convenient to the family room and kitchen.

The location is terrific, although getting down to the beach is problematic if you're not agile. On the other hand, walking down to the spit is easy and scenic, and there is a public beach within a short drive (or long walk.)

Great location
We enjoyed our stay on Lopez Island. The only comment for improvement is we had to call three times during our stay for garbage bags, gas for the grill ( both tanks were empty) and only given 4 small rolls of TP and it was a special trailer kind that was very small. Not enough for 5 people for 7 days. I called each time we needed something and they were quick to bring it to us.

Nice get away
This was a cute and clean house. Very comfortable and relaxing. Close to town. Only suggestion two suggestions cut the lower grass for easier access to water and better garbage holders, wildlife got into the trash all weekend. Other then that it was peaceful!

Mouse poop on bottom level
There was mouse poop everywhere on the bottom level. The bedroom, and extra tv room, behind the couch, in the closets, under the bed and dressers. More and more accumulated over the week. No one has done anything about it, just a "sorry". We were unable to use the bottom level because of the mouse poop. It was a very frustrating experience. There was no where else to stay and we planned to go to the on a vacation with our family.
The house is in a great location for biking places with littles. The upper level was cozy but too small for our family since we were planning on using the lower level too.
Another thing that was disappointing was there was no dvd player even though it said there was. The property manager brought one over and left it on the table. No cords and he didn't even hook it up. It wasn't even the right kind. It didn't connect to the newer tvs. We were planning on watching our old family favorites before bed.
The beach infront of the house was muddy and the trail down had old wood with some nails sticking out.
I would not recommend this house to anyone unless the mouse issue has been taken care of.
The experience with the house was very frustrating and disappointing. We love Lopez Island, but not this house!

Could be great if cleaned better and the kitchen had basic and clean cooking tools
The location is great, the house is spacious, the bedrooms are well appointed, and sheets and towels are clean. The house needs deep cleaning and maintenance though, especially doors and the bathroom walls. There seems to be a bit of a moisture issue - there was mold around one of the upstairs bedroom windows. The kitchen is severely lacking in basic cooking tools and much of what is there is damaged and needs to be replaced. If you go, consider bringing your own pots and pans as well as bowls for food preparation.

The home was wonderful - a quiet getaway in one of the most beautiful places on earth. We planned our stay over perhaps the worst (best!) weather circumstances possible (>12inches of snow)! The host went out of their way to ensure we knew exactly what weather conditions were present and made certain we would have the proper vehicle to access the property (gravel road without snow removal). The host found a snow shovel and cleared a parking area as well as a path to the front door - ensuring a safe and smooth arrival. The home itself was fantastic. Perfectly clean with everything we needed for a quiet get-away. The kitchen was perfectly equipped to prepare any food required, we were able to make breakfast, lunch and dinner, dessert and sugar cookies. We were warm and cozy with plenty of room in multiple gathering areas. The deck is large, the main TV/game/sitting area is very large. Additional TV/office area downstairs. It felt like it was our own little home away from home. I wish we could have stayed much longer!Ensure to keep everything clean, and food put away in the refrigerator. We did see a few ants in the kitchen, but it was not an issue. Certainly nothing to detract from staying there again.

Property did not meet expectations
We were looking forward to our nine night/ten day stay on Lopez earlier this month. For the price we paid, the property did not meet our expectations. The kitchen is very old and tiny. It's just for one person at a time. The pictures online are misleading. The microwave is shoved so far back on the small counters that you can't open the door easily. The utensils, pots and pans are all old and hard to cook with. There wasn't a single mixing bowl, which we needed for our family meals. The kitchen table is really beat up and was camouflaged with a table cloth. One of the beds wasn't made up. The linens were sitting on the dresser. We saw spiders and ants downstairs. One ran across my pillow. It's a home on the bay, but there isn't a lawn chair in sight for the large lawn or to go to the water. The t.v. picture goes haywire about every five minutes. The view is nice, but for what's inside he house it's not worth the price. We've stayed in many other homes on Lopez for this price point and had far better amenities. We wouldn't rent again.

Needs a face lift
The space in general was great, the view and outside space excellent. Loved the location in relation to the marina which we were using. The beds were very comfortable but the couch and chair in the living room were broken down, truly time to replace!
The glass surfaces (windows, mirrors, table) were not clean and the bed on the lower level had not been made completely. The kitchen and bathroom floors were not cleaned properly.
I may seem a little picky but having owned a cleaning service I know what I would expect if I were paying someone!
You might want to know that even though there are TV's in all around you can only watch a DVD. Also bring their own lighter for the grill because the one there did not work and to bring your own spices.

Great location, amenities could use some work.
Great location for viewing the water. Amenities were minimal - had to improvise to make meals in the kitchen. Outside grill wasn't working properly. Bedrooms were okay but could use a few more night stands. Trash cans were not marked for recycling. It would have been nice to have the cable TV included. The note in the kitchen said we were "guest in the house" didn't make us feel at home.
