It was everything promised plus. Steps from an awesome beach. Away from the hustle and bustle of Honolulu The lanai was our favorite room.

Pat and Kelly were phenomenal hosts and the cottage was perfect for our family. The (stunning) beach is mere steps away, which was perfect for our 2-yr old so that we could stay at the beach for as short or long as we liked, and it was no big deal to run back to the house to grab something. We also enjoyed walking to the city-center for the farmers market, shops, dining, etc., as it was only a mile away from the home. Plenty of beach toys for our little guy too! The bedroom was very large and included a very comfortable king size bed. Room was so spacious that wife was able to do her workouts every morning right in front of the bed, and the AC unit for that room was nice for sleeping for our son (though we preferred to sleep with the windows open)...Laundry room was very big and soooo nice to have after the beach.....Kitchen had everything you could ask for and we did a lot of cooking at "home" with all the necessary pots/pans/dishes, etc. (including an Instantpot we made use of!) As great as the whole house is, the lanai was the star and we spent as much time out there and in the backyard as possible. It always felt so comfortable in there with the breeze blowing through and there was plenty of space for our little guy to run around and play with toys. The daybed is so nice to use for lounging during the day and for sleeping on at night, and you get to wake up to the beautiful sound of birds chirping as the sunrises. We can't wait to come back! Kelly and Pat are terrific hosts, very friendly and welcoming! We loved getting up early and taking a few short steps to the beach for a morning walk and coming back several times a day for swimming and relaxation. Kitchen has everything you need for making meals at home. The lanai was a comfortable place to eat breakfast and hang out in the evenings. There is a small market nearby and bigger markets and restaurants a short driving distance away. (You can walk to Buzz's which was awesome!) Great home base from which to explore Oahu - we visited north shore beaches, saw sea turtles, Honolulu, hiked local trails and more! Kailua Beach is truly the best beach in our humble opinion: gorgeous warm water, soft sand with no reefs to watch out for, spacious, and fun, well behaved neighborhood dogs to watch playing in the surf! We will be happy if we can return one day ~ Thanks Kelly and Pat!!

Cool place! The enclosed lanai is amazing. The cottage is very well-equipped and the hosts are very welcoming. Location is very close to the beach. Hope to return!

Such a beautiful place to stay! We loved being surrounded by the tropical foliage and just a footsteps a way from the beach! We went every morning to watch the sunrise. We visited several beaches during our stay and the one by this house was by far our favorite! They even had beach toys for my kids to play with. The house was so comfortable and had everything we needed. We will definitely be back, I highly recommend this Vrbo!!!

Cozy, stocked with all necessity, comfortable beds, convenient to beach, stores, and freeways. Owners were very helpful and respectful.

Wishing we were still there! It really had everything we needed and more: space, privacy, outdoor shower (and indoor one), beautiful greenery, and birds (I even made a recording). But tops for us was the location: a three-minute walk to our favorite beach (Kailua). Still being on California time, I was able to make it for the 5:30am sunrise every morning. Amazing! We will definitely be back!
