I'd stay again.
Finding the property and checking in wasn't the easiest, but overall had a great stay. Contacting property management was tricky, but once I got through to a live person they were very friendly and helpful. The property is clean and quiet at night. Other guests were friendly and respectful. The location is great, but parking can be a hassle if you're not familiar with the area.

Property needs work
The property is not described well, so it took us quite a while to find our unit. None of the descriptions in the emails matched up well with the unit. The window to the outside would not close. We turned up the heat, but there was a draft. In the night, water started leaking from the upper apartments. The door to the shower is half coming off. The hot tub shown in the pictures is frozen solid.
All that said, Telluride is amazing and this unit is a quick 40 foot walk to the Gondola for skiing.

Amazing location
It’s a basic room, but just what we needed. Loved the community kitchen room and the hot tub. Will stay again if we return to Telluride! Thank you!

Telluride hotel room
This was our first stay in Telluride. The Manitou Lodge is located in a wonderful location close to the gondola, downtown and several hikes. The shared patio has a beautiful stream right by it. Our room was on the first floor. I would advise travelers to stay on an upper floor since the front door continually slammed when people left the lodge and residents upstairs could be heard. The bathroom is very small and we didn’t feel comfortable keeping our window open because the room was at ground level and right along the hiking path . The price seemed high to me but was good compared to other lodging choices in town.

Great location, easy to find and property was as accurately reflected. Parking a bit confusing at first but worked out easily.

Cozy accommodation
The location is really great central to all things in downtown telluride. The room is a nice size and able to accommodate 4 adults. The deck area is very nice and you have great view of the mountains and creek. The parking area not enough room right by the complex off street parking was available but if you arrive at night it is difficult to see the parking signs to know where to park. I would recommend this place for the beautiful location and cozy room accommodations. Also if you are a dog lover telluride is the place since everyone has there dogs and walks them around town.

Property is quiet. The place is clean and had a shared kitchen. The outside provision and eating area was great.

Manitou Lodge #2
We are very impressed with the lodge and staff until our son's favorite medium weight jacket disappeared from the breakfast room after the other guests had all left for the day.
A housekeeping was observed on the first floor. This needless and upsetting theft will certainly affect future reservations.

My stay started with not being able to find pertinentent information.
I received too much information on too many attachments making it difficult to find the unit, where to park and the key codes. I would like to see all that information clearly and concisely at the top of the email. After I arrived I was told by the guest services person I need to get a laminated parking pass. I read the information emails at home and printed what I thought was the parking pass but apparently that was the temporary pass while unloading. After unloading I had to go to another site to get a laminated pass. I was told I needed that pass for parking in zone W. There was a blurry map attached to one of the many emails showing where zone W, but not being familiar with Telluride that a little too complicated. Very confusing and annoying start to my stay. The facility is old but well kept with a great deck.
On the up side the guest services rep was very pleasant and helpful. Being right on the creek and a couple of blocks from the center of town and numerous good restaurants was a plus.

Great
We liked the room. Was a short walk to main street and the gondola. The staff at the office (off site) that coordinated our stay was great to work with.

I loved the overall setting and the proximity to town and trails. The hot tub and San Miguel river were fun to experience and play in. The lodge host, Joan, was awesome and laid out an amazing breakfast. She was incredibly easy to communicate with and a lovely person. I wasn’t crazy about the window situation in our room. It freely opened to a somewhat public space and there were no screens so I felt a little exposed. Also there was no ac so the room was a little stuffy with the window closed. We had people smoking right outside which blew right into our room several times. That’s really my only complaint, otherwise one of the nicer places we stayed during our trip.

Will stay here every time I visit!
I really enjoyed this place! Angela took great care of us and the details were perfect. After a hike (Bear Creek trailhead is next door) in the sleet, we came back to fresh baked cookies in the kitchen. The location is perfect. The hot tub was a HUGE bonus.. it is the original tub made of wood, not the cheesy plastic ones :) I didn't think we would use it, but after hiking, it was perfect.. and robes provided! Apparently I didn't take in all the details while booking, and at every turn, I was more and more impressed. Great parking, close to a market, excellent customer service, modern shower, ironing board, coat rack by door, hot tub, etc. I can't wait to go back... and did i mention hot cinnamon rolls and scones for breakfast?
