A lovely experience in the midst of the desert, yet easily accessible to Scottsdale and Cave Creek. Our family enjoyed the quiet and the experience of watching the wildlife from the deck.

This has to be the most peaceful place in Scottsdale. House was perfect for us. Kitchen was well stocked; couches and chairs in the living room were incredibly comfy. I had coffee on the back deck every morning with birds, bunnies and abundant quail. Darcy is an excellent host who responded to any questions I had within minutes. One of the best VRBO experiences we’ve ever had. Looking forward to returning to this wonderful home in the future.

Quaint farmhouse on a private desert property

Rustic but modern, you would never know you were so close to Scottsdale.

Four adults (myself, spouse and husband's brother and his wife) enjoyed three nights. It was wonderfully comfortable and quiet. Very cozy. We'd stay again if we're in the area. Both Darcy and Melinda (local property manager) were very responsive and helpful with a couple of questions we had (very minor items).

Darcy was great from before I reserved her place all the way to the end. Very helpful, always available, the home is really comfortable in a great neighborhood where you feel like it is must you. The property is beautiful. Home is comfortable and having darkness was such a treat. Easy to sleep without lights outside. I hung out with bunnies, quail families with many babies, and a coyote. There was a dove mom and dad sitting on eggs waiting to be hatched. The back of the home has 2 comfortable recliners where I spent my mornings and evenings. The bed was comfortable and the home is very close to many restaurants, grocery stores and easy to get around from Darcy’s home i highly recommend staying here. I actually had appointments in Tempe, flew into Phoenix and chose to stay in North Scottsdale for the nature, beauty of the rocks, dark at night and the wildlife.

Perfect location for enjoying the desert. We don’t like being in neighborhoods, condos, resorts, etc. For us, it’s all about outside enjoyment. And the back deck allows for desert and wildlife viewing without the traffic and noise. It’s a nice farmhouse feel inside with comfortable leather furniture and beds/bedding. Communication with Darcy was easy and fast and she was very responsive to a couple of our needs. We would certainly rent here again. Also, it’s very important to keep shoes on when outside. We had a couple cactus mishaps with the grands! Don’t let them play with the sand in the wash as it’s full of cactus burrs!

Wonderful stay at great home - perfect for 2 couples - quiet surroundings nice sunsets and some cool wildlife ( we saw rare Mexican grey wolf one morning!) We’ll definitely stay again when we return for more golf at Troon! Very close to Four Seasons where wives enjoyed spa all week! Thank you again to our gracious host! She was available whenever needed and is super pleasant!

Listing was as described along with photos. When you walk in you feel at home. Well stocked kitchen. My favorite was sitting on porch and listening to the birds and admiring the cactus. Bed comfortable. Recommend this home 100%

Had a great stay at the farm house. Plenty of room for three of us and our dogs. Feels very remote at the house, but actually very close to supermarkets, restaurants, etc.

My husband and I spent 10 nights at this property as part of a cross country road trip. The bedrooms were dark and quiet and the beds were very comfortable. The kitchen was adequately supplied with most things needed to cook meals and the living room had good furniture and was very comfortable. There is a large outdoor deck, an excellent gas grill with plenty of outdoor furniture. The host and property manager responded quickly to requests for assistance. The house is an older home on a large private lot in a rural area. We felt right at home and will definitely return.

A little further from the fairgrounds than what we really wanted but it was a beautiful place and we loved it!

It was a treat for our family to spend Christmas together in this exotic place. It was peaceful and relaxing. The property is clean, well maintained, well equipped and close to everything you may need. All the bedrooms are comfortable. There is a lot of attention to details that makes you feel welcome. The back porch is definitely a plus for watching sunset, wildlife and cacti of course. It was easy to work with Darcy. She was responsive and kind. Thank you for having us, we enjoyed our stay very much.... despite all the rain !

This property was as advertised and was really a cool place. The property and house was not pretentious, it did not have a manicured lawn, but that was the appeal! We liked that it was very different than a fancy Phoenix home, if you are looking for something unique, with a country feel, yet comfortable and clean, I would recommend this place. The beds were very comfortable and nice bedding on them. I liked that we could have our dog there, but I would not leave it out alone as 4 Javelina's did come very close to the house and I have heard they can be aggressive. It was cool to watch them from behind the glass door! We enjoyed that it was private (you can't see any neighbors!), and we could have our van there and our bikes with lots of room for parking when our family came by during Thanksgiving weekend.

Easy communication and check-in process, the location was wonderful and quiet. Our family loved seeing the wildlife native to AZ while still being a quick drive to the bustle of Scottsdale and Phoenix city life. Beds were comfy in all three bedrooms too, which was a definite perk! Often we notice just the Master suite has a good mattress and the other beds are eh at best, but we were pleasantly surprised here! We would recommend Darcy’s VRBO to anyone looking for a relaxing place to stay in Scottsdale.

Wife and I recently stayed her mid October. As many reviewers have mentioned there is an abundance of wildlife. Sunsets and sunrises are gorgeous. It's very secluded but you have major roads right around the corner and a short drive to restaurants, shopping and nightlife. The house itself is very warming and you have all the amenities you could ask for. The host Darcy was very easy to get a hold of if needed. Would stay here again. Thank you Darcy!

Great place for family gatherings and relaxing. Private. Nice country setting. A few small things would need attention but over all a nice experience.

The house was spacious and beautifully decorated as well as quiet. Beds were comfortable. Outside is desert with abundant wildlife such as javelina (hogs) and coyotes.

We stayed at this cozy farmhouse in the desert for several weeks while my husband underwent treatment at the Mayo Clinic. The home served as a peaceful oasis for us during a very trying time. The property is close to everything, yet secluded and tranquil. The sunrises and sunsets are unmatched and we saw almost every animal in the Sonoran desert! The home is beautiful and comfortable and owner was nothing less than amazing!

If you are looking for a property that is quiet, clean and that has really fun wildlife to see, this is the property. We had plenty of space to sit in the living room and chat, make big breakfasts in the kitchen, in this house that was very clean and had everything stocked fully. We thoroughly enjoyed the big back porch and the space to just relax. The house had everything we needed, and the great part was it is very dark at night and you can look up and see the beautiful desert stars and sky. Thank you so much!!

My husband and I have stayed here twice and loved it. The desert around is so peaceful and beautiful. The house is very comfortable and easy to stay in and it's close to all kinds of shopping and restaurants. We particularly enjoyed the saguaro cactus that were in full bloom.
