Rosana is a very thoughtful hostess. From taxi to pizza places, she always points us to the right place. The property has a private elevator which exits on via Chiaia. It is close to everything except for subway. The nearest subway L1 station is about 12 minutes away. If you enjoy walking around it is not a big issue.

Rosanna is such a lovely host, she did everything to make sure we would have a fantastic stay at her place and in Naples in general. The bedroom was spacious and cosy, we really appreciated the fact that we could open the window and not be disturbed by the surrounding noise of Naples. The bathroom was also well equipped and spacious. Breakfast has got a lot of options to choose from and Rosanna even baked for us, it was delicious! The location was very convenient too, we managed to do everything we wanted to do by foot (Vomero, Chiaia, Santa Lucia, Quartieri Spagnoli, Centro Storico). Overall, we loved it and would go again if we have the opportunity to.

It's not something that we didn't like but I feel like it is worth mentioning: the bathroom was not en-suite and we did not find a way to be able to lock it (although that might be on us because we didn't try hard enough nor felt the need to ask). It was opposite door of the room and it was private so that's all we cared about.

Absolutely everything! Rosanna is so helpful and kind. The room is so comfortable and the breakfasts are delicious. We loved the location and being able to go down and explore the streets and shops or take the lift and wander that way. We couldn’t recommend more. A bonus was coming home to a clean room with our beds made up. thank you so much!

This is a delightful B and B. The location is perfect with easy access to the sights and shops of Naples. The host Rosanna was very welcoming. There was a lovely breakfast every morning of local cakes and breads as well as yogurt. The rooms were clean and fresh with air conditioning. We had a lovely stay.

Rosanna made this experience absolutely unforgettable. Her home was warm and welcoming. She prepared delicious breakfasts every morning for us and we felt so cared for. The room was clean and had great air conditioning which served us well during our summer stay. She made excellent recommendations and coordinated a driver for our stay, who was equally warm and welcoming. We highly recommend this spot for a stay in Napoli to fully experience the warm culture of Naples!

The property is situated in a quiet part of Napoli, not long from the metro and the city center. The room was very cosy with all the amenities including fridge, air conditioning and even a hair dryer. The host is a lovely person, very helpful and communicative, with whom you can exchange freely also in English. Also the breakfast was delicious with traditional Napolitan cakes being included every day.

Rosanna was a really attentive and caring host and easily helped us to get to know the city with her recommendations. Rosanna also helped us arrange our transfer to the airport. The apartment was in an ideal location and is kept extremely clean. Breakfast was fresh each morning with a variety of options and catered to any of our dietary needs. If we return to Naples, I would chose to stay again at Barú and would recommend to anyone else!

Fantastic stay at Rosanna's place! The flat is very well located with access to a number of sites, restaurants, and shops within a few minutes walk. The room was clean and tidy, spacious enough, with efficient air conditioning (quite important during our stay), and a lot of amenities inside. But most importantly, Rosanna is a great host, always caring, helping, and providing good advice for all kind of activities, not to mention the amazing breakfast. In short, Rosanna's sense of hospitality is simply outstanding!

Hostess was a lovely lady who took good care for us and helped to organize transfer from and to airport. It felt like staying at Italian granny's.

The best thing about this place is the owner and her dog! Rosanna is a wonderful lady who is extremely helpful and kind. She made sure our stay was comfortable and pleasant, she went out of her way to make us feel home. i have never felt this emotional leaving a hotel/apartment after a couple of days trip. She is the reason we fell in love with Naples. Her house is brilliantly done up, very clean and comfortable.

This was an amazing stay with the lovely Signora Rosanna and little Baru. There are so many good points about this accommodation but the main ones are: the hospitality and kindness of the hostess, the gourmet breakfasts and sweets she bakes for you, and above all the SAFETY and location of the property. Naples obviously has rougher areas but being in the heart of Chiaia is good for both safety and peace; there are so many good restaurants nearby too. Grazie mille to Rosanna for the beautiful weekend and warm welcome to Napoli.

Everything was wonderful

Rosanna is an amazing host, caring, nice, always trying to help where she can calling to ask for transfers, information, restaurants... and she was so helpful to provide a baby bed for our little son and she was just lovely with him. Her dog Barù is also a plus to the place 😊 The location is perfect to enjoy the buzz while being a bit away from it. A very short walk from Via Toledo 😊 Breakfast was super tasty, again Rosanna is very accommodating with times and has a nice selection of breakfast stuff. Her frittata was really yummy! We can only recommend Barù in Chiaia!

More than something we didn't like it is something to take into account if travelling with small kids. Taxis don't seem to have car seats for infants so we had to take public transport and the walk to the b&b with a buggy and two suitcases can be a bit challenging 😅 But definitely worth it 😊

Our stay at Baru was so enjoyable - Rosanna is a wonderful host! Breakfast each morning was fantastic - lots of sweet buns and croissants, and fresh yoghurt and fruit. Each morning there was a little something extra, like scrambled eggs and chorizo, a nutty chocolate cake, or fresh strawberries and prosciutto. We really appreciated the fact that Rosanna organised a taxi to and from the airport, which worked out much cheaper than local rates, and she also booked us into local Italian restaurants two of the nights, a really sweet touch. The bedroom was cosy and clean, with a great shower in the ensuite and plenty of thoughtful extra touches that we were surprised to find - little chocolates, hotel style slippers and bottles of water in the mini fridge. The location is excellent, in one of the nicer areas of Naples, above some luxury shops and in walking distance from all the main attractions of the city. One thing important to note: the lift that takes you to from the B&B to the Main Street area only takes 20c coins - so bring a stack of them with you! There's also a 20 euro tourist tax at the end of your stay - which we were more than happy to pay. Rosanna was so warm and helpful, the room was brilliant, and we left feeling really well looked after. We would definitely come back. Thank you Rosanna! :)

Very nice place to stay, lovely host, great breakfast

Really pleasant stay, made unforgettable by the owner, who prepared home made struffoli and baba' for breakfast. The location is also outstanding, really close to everything. A private elevator is connecting the b&b with Via Chiaia, making the access very comfortable.

It was extremely nice and welcoming to stay at Baru. The host was terrific and breakfast was amazing. The location was also perfect and very central.

When owner found out that we like solted breakfast, she changed it next day based on our preferencies (ham, salami, bread). - private elevator to the shopping street full of bars and shops (shops open till 8 pm) - nice and not so noisy place close to the main activities - 5-7 min walk to the sea promenade

- We expected bigger room - Not mentioned that for the private elevator to the shopping street cost 20 cents to use it, please have many of them in your pocket - cappuccino for breakfast could make our stay even better

Roza was an amazing hostess. She was a great help with any questions we had on transportation, where to eat, what to see. The breakfast was great with many options, the room beautifully and clean! Great location with many places to eat, drink and go shopping. Overall we had the best time staying here and will definitely come back!!

Nice, clean, air-conditioned room with small fridge and everything you need. Host is very nice and helps with everything you need. She gives good restaurant advices and books tables ahead for you if necessary (Fr-Sun a must). Dog felt in love with me. The breakfast is mainly sweet with changing home-made local cakes. There are two lifts close-by that bring you down to the main shopping road: one directly in front of the house and the other close-by (in the arch in via Chaia).

They clean up the rooms everyday very thoroughly so I needed a while to find my things again.

Everything was exceptional from the location to the service. Our hostess went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and comfortable. We arrived before our scheduled checkin time and she had the maid clean our room quickly so we could move in as fast as possible, and each morning she prepared fresh cakes in addition to the traditional breakfast that she provided. She was incredibly available via whatsapp and offered some great restaurant recommendations as well as booking and pre-negotiating all of our taxis for us. If you are look for a clean, comfortable, authentic place to stay in Naples in a great location there is no substitute for Barú. P.S her dog Barú is very sweet

There was nothing we did not like.

We enjoyed our one week stay in Baru in Chiaia. It is a quiet and nice place located not far away from the beautiful sea promenade (10 min walk, but one can make a shortcut with a private elevator, which leads to via Chiaia). We are fully satisfied by living conditions and daily cleaning service, which was excellent. Our host is a very kind and attentive person. She cooked delicious cakes to each breakfast. She also gave us helpful recommendations where to have good lunch/dinner nearby and provide us any other information we need as well. We were surrounded by home-like atmosphere during our whole stay in Baru in Chiaia. We definitely would stay in this nice place again if we come to Naples next time.

Rosa was a fantastic host, she made us feel welcome and it was like being in our own home. Very clean. Breakfast with all her home baked cakes was amazing. Great location. I would recommend this place to anyone.
