I liked the staff .They were very friendly. I was staying in this villa to attend a nearby party next morning.Nights were so quiet.I had a good night sleep .Even the owner was not there all the other staff were doing really well. Even I had a four hours long Zoom meeting on the outside Villa tables without any distractions from the staff.There were lots of mini restaurants nearby to buy necessities.Just 5 mins walking distance from the main bus stand of Tangalle.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The food was good and unique to Sri Lankan cuisine. Being close to the beach was the best thing. The ocean gate villa was a great place to stay and we had a good time. Would like to thank you again for great service.

Nice villa with perfect location, close to the beach and near bus stand. Rooms are spacious, comfy, with big canopy bed, mosquito net, & AC or fan. Great kitchen with all you need (gas cooker, kettle, fridge and oven), living room and patio. Equipments are amazing, staff is kind, many facilities and services, best place to stay, for short or long term!

The water filter seemed to dispense water directly from the tap, not filtered. At least it tasted that way The kitchen is dirty The mosquitoes were bad, especially in the kitchen. They would fly out when you pull out a plate. The mosquito nets over the four poster bed opened so the mosquitoes get inside! The bathroom was horrible. Stained toilet seat, cracked sink The bedroom smelled and was dark

Actually one day we came but we stayed back for three days and the workers here are very talented and very close to the sea

Spacious AC room was great, delicious breakfasts, very friendly and accommodating fellas who run the place, very well located for beach and town.

- The best host ever - Chanaka! He was very helpful: he helped us with exchanging money, finding ATM, buying the best souvenirs, he prepared fruit for us and brought his own fruit. He answered all questions we had about Sri Lanka, he was very communicative (very good English), he helped with printing tickets.. and many more things.. brilliant guy.. ! - Location - 3 min to beach and the main touristic road (restaurants and shops), and 3 min to Tagnalle centre. - The building is quite new, it has nice terrace and big common area (sofas, tv, table). - Rooms are big and clean. AC works very well (new) and there is a hot water in bathroom. - There are room with AC and non-AC (with fan) so if you don't like heat - just choose AC one. - They can rent a scooter for you - Cheap loundry service - Kitchen with fridge! - We booked 5 nights but stayed for 2 more.. - If we will come back to Tangalle some day - we know where we will stay :) (If you want to taste perfect tea and eat the best and very cheap Sri Lankan food - go 50 meteres from Oceans Gate to Tea Center <3 I guatantee that you will go there everyday)
