A propos de ce cabane standardrental
Welcome to Winghaven & Asheville! Secluded yet convenient to shops & food

Time of stay: July of ‘24. Our experience at the Chalet differs from other reviews. We expected to have mountain views based on the pictures posted. Since we visited in summer and not winter (when the mountain view pictures were taken) we saw a forest. We arrived late Monday, check in was a breeze. Our 2 young sons ran around in awe of the cabin. We noticed insect activity that evening, some spiders and ants, but turned in for the night. On Tuesday morning in the kitchen and bathrooms there were varying insects. To be fair, I texted the host and within minutes received a reply that contained an offer to have the house sprayed. We decided against this as the insects were not confined to one area and did not want to come back to the smell of chemicals after a day out. We continued our stay, but we were not comfortable in the home with all the insect activity. We decided to leave 2 days early. I messaged the host and to their credit, even though we did not ask for nor expect a refund, they refunded us for the remaining 2 nights of our reservation. Here is what I would say if you’re staying in the summer, as long as you’re expecting to be in a tree house and glamping in nature this is the spot for you! The cabin is beautiful, in a great location and secluded. Again, it’s all about your expectations.

Clean and comfortable. A short drive to Asheville, Hendersonville, or Flat Rock. Entrance road was a little rough but had no problems, thankful we didn’t meet anyone, there were places where cars could pass, many places 1 lane through.

This is a well maintained, modern cabin in a secluded/quiet location. We had a very relaxed 3 night stay and went into Ashville a couple of times for dinner/shopping.

Wonderful, clean, relaxing and secluded cabin. This place was perfect for our stay, we felt close to everything but also very secluded when we wanted to relax. We had our young child with us and they provided excellent amenities like a baby gate, portable crib and high chair, that made our trip easy! There was also plenty of room for our family and friends to come gather and share a meal. Loved the porch! We would definitely stay here again!

Stayed the extended weekend. House was very clean and we loved the solitude. Despite being one of a only a few houses on the mountain, we were still very close to Biltmore and other attractions. Love the views with morning coffee and the house felt bigger than the pictures. Extremely happy with this rental and look forward to returning.

The property was clean and simple yet has everything you need. Wish we could stay longer and enjoy the house more! Dog friendly!!! There are hardwood floors throughout and my dog was not a huge fan of it. We knew it might be the case and brought a blanket for him to walk on so no problem. The floor itself is not slippery at all but some sensitive dogs may have an issue. The property manager always responded promptly. Overall, great experience. Highly recommended.

We loved staying here! Great location to biltmore and all the downtown shops. The house was cozy and quaint and gave our family the woodsy mountain vacation we were hoping for.

Quiet enough to feel the solitude but close enough to the "real world".

Our hosts were awesome! The house was nothing short of amazing. Beautiful home on the mountain. Nice & secluded, everything was so comfortable, the kitchen was stocked with all the essentials I needed to cook with.
I plan on visiting again.

This home is beautiful and stocked full of everything we needed for our weekend. Lots of kitchen accessories, dishes, condiments. Plenty of indoor and outdoor space. So peaceful and serene! Communication and response from the owners was superb! Would definitely stay here again and recommend it to others!

If you appreciate a clean home-STAY AWAY!! This is a beautiful home and came fully stocked. The disappointing part of our stay was that it wasn’t clean: Moldy towels & blankets, silverware drawers with crumbs and debris, dirty cabinets,
filthy dishwasher & washing machine, condom under chair cushion, food and dirt under furniture, webs and dirt on sills and light fixtures, Firepit area dirty with leaves and debris. Upon arrival, we reported some of these issues to the owner and she offered a reclean that she expected us to supervise! I didn’t go on my annual vacation to supervise a cleaning crew! It is the responsibility of the owner to present us with a clean home.

Our stay was truly calming and the perfect spot for my two year old to run around in nature and my 2 month old to be fed on the porch in cooler weather. Our family joined us to escape the hurricane in Florida and the hosts were very accommodating and helpful. Bonus included having a clean and nice pack n play. They had a high chair and kids cups/plates etc which was a nice touch for us. The location was perfect to discover downtown Asheville, enjoy some hikes, and to visit the Biltmore all during our short stay. We will be back for sure. We highly recommend this beautiful, clean, and calming cabin.

Beautiful home in a great location. Very private and loved driving up the private mountain road. House was very clean although we had a slight issue with the cleanliness of the master bath. Overall, it was wonderful! Thank you!

We used this cabin as a base for exploring Asheville, Hendersonville, Flat Rock and the national forest for hiking. Very clean and well-supplied with necessities. Seclusion provided quiet, restful nights sleep.

The property is absolutely gorgeous! We loved the seclusion and being surrounded by nature. The house has a very cute log cabin feel, perfect for the mountains. It is very dog friendly! Our fur babies loved their stay as well.
The GPS did try to take us up someone elses drive way at the bottom of the mountain but other that there are absolutely no complaints!

Had a great time with friends. The road to the cabin was narrow with steep drop off. The outside of property severely overgrown. Very clean inside. Comfortable. Small repairs needed. Very close to everything.

The cabin was clean and well-stocked with kitchen tools, towels, and entertainment. The owners were accommodating and seemingly very helpful, although we did not need much based on the great condition of the cabin. We enjoyed the location very much. Highly recommend the Black Bear Cafe just down the private drive too.

Winghaven feels secluded but is a short drive from many attractions. It is the perfect place to unwind and relax between adventures!

Our family truly enjoyed our stay here! The house was lovely and immaculate with plenty of room for the six of us. We stayed during summer, so the trees were full of leaves, giving us a feeling of being surrounded in the forest. Birds singing during the day, fireflies at night…can’t ask for much more. Plenty of amenities (the vanilla cream coffee was such a nice treat!).
While there is not much to do in the town of Fletcher itself, the short distance to Asheville to the north and Hendersonville to the south makes the location a gem. It’s a short drive to hop on to the Blue Ridge Parkway and not far from DuPont State Forest. There is LOTS to do in the surrounding areas.
The house is a short, fairly easy drive up a mountain (we drove a minivan up with no issues). It feels secluded but you are not far from civilization. Would definitely recommend.

This is a wonderful property with space for family to sit, eat, hang out, and enjoy the quietness of nature. I definitely would give them 5 stars. :)
Few notes: microwave light doesn’t work; if you know kids are coming, please clean the high chair/booster seat, etc., it was filthy; master bedroom bed is noisy, don’t rock it too hard lol; birds WILL wake you up daily at 0545/0600, but we’re early risers and love nature so it was fine with us; large black ants are infesting the pantry, especially the garbage can (need to spray for those)
Overall, would definitely recommend!

The cabin was better than the pictures showed. It was in a very secluded area which was nice and quiet. Every morning that our granddaughter woke up in the cabin, she exclaimed "This is the best day ever!" That is priceless! Thank you for an amazing stay!

The cabin is exactly as pictured, super clean and had everything we needed. The books and dollhouse in the kids room were a nice touch! Close to Asheville and Sierra Nevada brewery but very quiet and peaceful. We would love to stay here again!

Everything was as advertised and the felt remote, although 10-15 minutes from any needs. House was immaculate!

This property was perfect for our getaway. Great location and minutes from Black Bear Cafe, which was a must even though there was a coffee pot provided in the cabin. The only drawback was the family room furniture was uncomfortable and difficult for older people to get up and down. Other than that, we had a wonderful time. Thank you!

Isolated location with beautiful view of the mountains. 25-30 min from downtown Asheville. The only complaint is we wish the mattresses were a little better but maybe that’s just what happens when you’re getting old ;) kids loved the variety of puzzles and bunk beds.

The pictures of the property do not do it justice! Wonderful accommodation. Would not change a thing. Planning another Asheville trip in the fall. Hopefully Winghaven will be available.

We were so happy with our weekend stay!!! The house is adorable and fit 6 women perfectly. We spent hours by the fire telling ghost stories, laughing on the porch and sharing memories while sipping coffee from the deck watching the sun come up. The owners clearly have thought of everything!

We stayed at this lovely chalet for a long weekend while playing in a tennis tournament at Asheville Racquet Club (South). It was a 15 min drive to the club...probably 5 min of that was the drive on the winding gravel road. The road is in good shape; we had no trouble getting there. May need 4 wheel drive if snowing. Home was clean and well equipped with everything we needed. One note...if you are particular about toilet tissue, take your own:-) We didn't have much time to enjoy the outside amenities due to spending so much time at the racquet club so we hope to go back in warmer temps. The owners were extremely nice and helpful! If you stay here check out Surf n Brew in Fletcher....great food!
