Carriage House under Live Oaks in historic Beaufort SC
Vous visualisez l'unité séparée située à l'étage supérieur, Wren's Nest. Nous ne pouvons pas accueillir les enfants de moins de 12 ans. Cette calèche pittoresque située en Caroline du Sud se trouve à côté de notre maison, Craven House (dans le magazine Southern Living), dans le magnifique quartier historique du centre-ville de Beaufort, à un pâté de maisons de la marina, des boutiques, des musées et des restaurants. Marchez partout, même au bureau de poste. Nid d'Wren dispose de 2 chambres, une avec un lit queen et l'autre avec un lit complet. Entre les deux chambres, il y a une salle de bain complète partagée. L'unité dispose de planchers de bois franc et une cuisine équipée. Détendez-vous sur le porche ou un patio meublé entouré de 100 ans de vieux chênes drapés de mousse espagnole, de beaux jardins et maisons historiques. Le son des cloches de l'église de l'église St Helena proximité, une des plus anciennes églises de travail continuelles dans le pays, vous ramènera dans le 18ème siècle.

We cannot say enough great things about the Wren's Nest! It is nestled in historic Beaufort just a block way from Bay Street- a street filled will local shops, restaurants, and nearby cultural sites. The apartment was elegantly appointed and you can sense the love and care that Ellen and Mike put into this "nest". We loved it and are sure to return on our next trip to the Beaufort. Thank you Ellen and Mike for making us feel so at home.

Ellen and Mike, the hosts, were welcoming and friendly during our stay. The accommodations were very comfortable, clean and thoughtfully decorated. The kitchen was well stocked. The property was within walking distance to downtown Beaufort - shops, restaurants and the water front. The property is pristine and well cared for. We thoroughly enjoyed staying here and will seek this place out again. Bonus - sweet Kipp the kitty, visited us every morning while we drank our coffee on the deck overlooking the well manicured garden.

Over-the-top-clean and everything in great working order. Apartment has some lovely period pieces. Host provides great communication. Thanks for the extra towels and other ample bathroom supplies. Would recommend to anyone in a heartbeat.

Married couple weekend of relaxation in an area we've not stayed before. Relaxed neighborhood and quaint downtown area in easy walking distance. Biked on Spanish Moss Trail, did sightseeing, watched sunset. Did not see any dolphins or ghosts, unfortunately

Stayed for 4 nights and each day was better than the previous. The best part was being able to walk everywhere. Restaurants, coffee shops, ice cream, retail therapy... everything you could possibly want and more!! Will definitely stay here again!!

We had a lovely half-week in this pretty carriage house. The location couldn't have been better - I never started my car once after arriving - everything in town is walkable from here. And the property itself is gorgeous - loved sitting on the balcony and just taking it all in. The rental was immaculately clean and beautifully decorated. And the hosts, Ellen and Mike, couldn't have been more gracious. Definitely coming back...

This carriage house was cute, extremely clean and in a great location. We walked to breakfast ( Blackstone Cafe) every morning. All of the Bay Street shops are within walking distance. We also did a carriage ride through the historic district which was outstanding

This apartment has everything you need to feel like home during your stay in Beaufort. The location is right in the center of the historic area, and easy walking access to down-town. Lovely to feel a part of this charming, historic city for a few days.

The Wren’s Nest is the perfect place to stay in Beaufort.
Conveniently located to the waterfront and downtown- you are steps away from great shopping and wonderful restaurants.
We had a couple of changes in our plans and our hosts could not have been more accommodating.
The unit was well equipped with everything it promised and more!
We will return to Beaufort one day and we will stay in the Wren’s Nest again!

Stayed as this wonderful VRBO in Beaufort. Everything and more than we expected. Clean, comfortable and convenient to things to see and restaurants to eat at! Hoping to return next year to see things we didn't have time for! Thank you Ellen for letting us stay at your slice of paradise!

Although the apartment was smaller than the pictures implied, it was very clean and well furnished. Unfortunately because as the owner said, it was furnished with antiques which were even more uncomfortable than she suggested. The location was great as we were able to walk everywhere in Beaufort. Communication with the lessor was very disappointing as she told us several times at check in that she was very available which was not.the case because there was no washer dryer (my fault for not realizing this). she told us several time times to let her know and we could do laundry at her house which was right nest door. On several occasions we texted,,called and left messages asking when would be convenient and never got a reply. The only other issue was that there were virtually no cleaning products that we could find to clean the kitchen or bath. We could not find a sponge. These are issues that could be rectified easily so all in all we were happy with our stay.

Perfect for a girls trip to Beaufort. So close to shopping, restaurants, and live music and of course the waterfront area. Hosts were great and we also loved the decor of our place.

We had a lovely time. The accommodations were just beautiful, so relaxing and comfortable. The area was very quiet. Short walk to the water and to the downtown shops and restaurants. Short drive to the beach and outer historic areas. We look forward to our next visit.

Wren’s nest is a special place and you will not be disappointed. The carriage house is darling and there is plenty of space. It is appointed beautifully with focus on special details and extra touches. Everything was spotless! Ellen and Mike are exceptional hosts and are very welcoming. They could not have been nicer.

We really enjoyed our stay at the The Bluff carriage house in Beaufort. Ellen & Mike were great hosts and took good care of us. The apartment was cozy and well-equipped with anything you might need; extra linens, bath essentials and complete kitchen utensils. It was extremely neat and clean and we felt very comfortable staying there. The location is perfect for walking to the waterfront area with lots of shops and restaurants. It was extremely cold during our stay over Christmas, so we didn’t get to enjoy the porch rockers and the beautiful patio garden, but we will next time. Also, the Estate Cat cruised the perimeter every now and then just to make sure everything was OK.

This property is located in an excellent neighborhood, extremely picturesque, across from St Helena’s church and within walking distance of everything you need in Beaufort. There are many high quality restaurants nearby, we sampled most of them and had very few complaints. The beach is a short drive. Many of the higher end hotels are on your doorstep. It’s really a perfect location.
The property itself is beautifully appointed, very comfortable and genuinely charming. I believe most of the paintings are by the host, Ellen, and very good they were too.
We had been needing to take some time out and have a peaceful, relaxing few days away for some time. This really did the trick. It’s the perfect little getaway.

Our hosts Mike and Ellen know how to extend true southern hospitality. Their 2 bedroom cottage is the cleanest, most fully equipped place we have stayed. From great towels and linens, comfortable beds and a convenient kitchen along with the location we felt well cared for…even spoiled. This is a warm and welcoming place. We’ve already booked for another visit.

My daughter and I along with her friend enjoyed the Wrens Nest so much! It was the perfect size and location for the 3 of us. We ate in a couple of nights and out one night. We were able to walk downtown. The last night we enjoyed a glass of wine overlooking the water. I will definitely be back!

Our stay here was everything we hoped it would be! Peaceful, quiet, clean property close to everything Beaufort has to offer. Definitely plan to return to Beaufort and would absolutely love to stay here again.

We stayed three nights in the Wren House (upper two-bedroom apartment of the Carriage House). Perfect apartment, beautiful grounds and close (actually part of) historic downtown Beaufort. Loved to rockers and ceiling fan on the front porch. Great place for AM coffee or PM drinks.
Downtown and Bayside Park were easy walks. We enjoyed a sunrise and two sunsets. Huntington Island, Port Royal, etc. within a very short driving distance. Ellen and Mike were perfect hosts.

My daughter and I wanted a getaway before she went back to college. The Wrens Nest was wonderful! What a charming perfect place we chose for our stay! We loved it! We could walk most places in Beaufort that we wanted to see. 1 block and you are waterfront. We loved this property and Beaufort!! And Beaufort is close to so many must-sees in the area. Anything you want to do is close by!
