The property was absolutely beautiful, quiet and peaceful! Our host were fabulous! There was wildlife in the area, turkeys, deer and two majestic bald eagles! It was a central location for us to get to where ever we wanted to go.

My wife and I had a great time at this cabin location.Because of weather we spent time indoors,in the hot tub, and Magaret made sure to have us stop at the pond on our way out.That was a pretty cool experience! Thank you

We had an awesome time that was beyond our expectations. This place is beautiful and is in a perfect location to visit everything in the Black Hills. Margaret and Derito go out of their way to make you feel like family. They are very special people and we really enjoyed this beautiful place and getting to know these awesome people. We hope to come again someday and would recommend this place to anyone. Great trip!

Terrific getaway for the family. Everything was low key which was perfect. The scerene wooded hills and the valley, comfortable chairs by the pond, and the clear night skies from the hot tub where we've never seen so many stars will be the things we remember most from this trip. Visits from the host's cat and dog, many rounds of 8-Ball on the nice pool table, and the very comfortable living conditions of the basement also leave their mark. The hosts are extremely sweet and accommodating, even stopping by with some well received brownies and ice cream. Love the property and highly recommend!

Our family absolutely loved staying at Custer Camp. Margaret and Derito are very gracious and it was a pleasure to meet them. The home and property are so beautiful and perfect, like out of a painting. The trout pond is incredible and the home is clean and fun with plenty to do inside and out. We wished we could stay another week just to hang out at the cabin.

This place really is picture perfect, it’s that beautiful. Two of the best host I have ever met in my lifetime. I would have loved to stay another week, the weather was fabulous, the scenery was amazing. It’s a quiet,comfortable, peaceful place to relax and just enjoy life. The trout pond is exactly what they say it is, fully stocked, I fished the day before we were to leave,caught a very nice trout. Mr Bonicelli not only cleaned the fish, he sealed it air tight, put it in his freezer, the next morning he give me a cooler put the fish in it, packed it with ice and frozen ice bags for my 22 hour trip back home. I highly recommend this place if you’re looking for a place to stay in this neck of the woods, you will not be disappointed. I want to thank the Bonicelli family agin for their hospitality. Check there place out you will love it

House was very neat and clean, and the yard simply beautiful! Enjoyed our time spent at the cabin just as much as the time out and about! Love, loved sitting by the water fall and pond. Hosts were exceptional, giving us plenty of space and privacy, but checking in occasionally and visiting also…even delivering fresh brownies and cucumbers! And filling the hot tub especially for us. Definitely recommend!

Our stay at Custer Camp was wonderful. The grounds were beautiful and the home is equally nice.The fishing pond was a huge hit and provided many hours of entertainment for our teenage son.

Such a relaxing stay in a beautiful area. The property and home is absolutely beautiful. 30 minute drive or so to Rapid City which has restaurants and grocery stores. The hosts were terrific and available if needed, and the bottle of wine upon arrival was such a thoughtful addition to an overall great stay!

This VRBO stands apart of others places I have stayed because of the kindness of the hosts. They are so friendly and let us have access to their 41 acre property that included a pond full of fishes. They even provide the fishing poles and some bait. To top things off Margaret brought us fresh baked brownies. This is a definite recommend for families.

Couldn't have asked for a better property, location, or hosts! From the property, Custer State Park and Mt. Rushmore 45-60min drive, Wonderland Cave 5-min, Rapid City 40-45min, Spearfish about an hour. Beautiful drives too - Very curvy, hilly but truly remarkable countryside. If you're coming out for the hiking, ask them about nearby Rock Maze - Fun, unique and devoid of other people.
Owners were absolutely splendid, friendly and accommodating. They were available for providing recommendations and happy to have us and our 10 and 6 year old running around their truly gigantic property, but stayed out of our way and easy to maintain privacy. When we did see them, they were a pleasure to be around.
The unit is the first floor built into a hillside and completely separate from the owner's unit on the 2nd floor. Separate bedroom and kitchen, bath includes jetted tub, separate shower and toilet areas. Appliances and finishes were all updated, modern, clean, and lots of attention to detail for making you feel at home, but still maintains lots of charm with décor.
Trout pond is yours to enjoy and includes a large covered seating area - About a 2-min walk down the hill from the unit. Outdoor hot tub very clean and modern. Hammock, outdoor seating adjacent to unit, gas grills, etc. Lovely birds singing and visiting the feeders, but very quiet and serene at night. Dog and three cats on property are friendly but will leave you alone if you want too.

This property was much better than expected. The listing pictures were on-point and the accommodations were comfortable and spotless. The pool table was great, and the fishing pond was outstanding. The natural surroundings were beautiful. The owners were wonderful people, and we would love to repeat a stay with them.

Margaret and Derito were amazing hosts! It was very private but they were there if needed. They even left us a bottle of wine and made brownies! This was a great place to stay with a family of all ages. The place was as nice as it looked online, the pond was super fun for my young kids, and the hosts’ hospitality was truly great! They cooked up the fish my son caught and made treats for my kids which was above and beyond. Highly recommended place for a family with kids.

We feel blessed to be able to share such a beautiful location and home. The Bocelli’s are truly the salt of the earth. From the moment we met we were treated like family. They are not intrusive in anyway but are there whenever you need them. The description of the property is spot on. The cleanliness was impeccable. Communication was flawless, and Margaret went above and beyond to work with us through some changing schedules. The quiet of nature surrounds this place with deer and elk visits daily. The trout pond was exciting to fish and Derito was so gracious to smoke one for us. It was outstanding!! We love the decor, and a well-stocked kitchen. The bathroom was spacious, the pool table was a bonus, and thankfully a much appreciated washer and dryer. The bedroom is truly that, a room full of beds! The mattress was comfortable, with enough room to change if you needed privacy. I have booked many VRBOs, but have never had one that had a private “high end” grill and a smoker available to use. They also provided a great outdoor sitting and dining space. The hot tub looked clean and awesome although we didn’t partake. Property is close to anything you want to see in the Black Hills, but really it was just as exciting to get back to enjoy nature. Custer Camp is truly the place to be. If you are looking for a place to call home for your vacation, book early, you will not regret it.

This was such a lovely place, beautiful surroundings, the accommodations were perfect and so we’ll appointed to give you cozy mountain cabin feel. We loved fishing in the trout pond and enjoyed delicious smoked trout for dinner one night!

You will be hard pressed to find a listing with owners as amazing as this one. Margaret and Derito are truly wonderful people. Our stay was perfect from the moment we arrived to the time we sadly had to leave. We all wanted to stay longer! It's a bit remote but the property is gorgeous. Cabin is very comfortable. The things worth noting, there was a bottle of wine awaiting us when we checked in, we were brought tiramisu, the shower and water pressure were amazing, the beds were wonderful........overall it was a great stay.

What wonderful property and owners, we didn't want to leave. The house was beautiful as was the property (for taking walks) the patio right outside the doors, the pond with a lounging area was awesome! And the hotub, it was the cleanest and nicest one I have ever been in. The house was spotlessly clean and organized. The bedroom is larger than in the pictures and all the bunkbeds were queens, it slept 5 of us and we were very comfortable. The bathroom was awesome and we really appreciated the huge hottub towels they provided!!!

We had a wonderful stay! Such relaxing accommodations and the hosts are amazing. Kids got a hug kick out of the trout pond. Feeding them was just as much fun as catching one. Just sitting outside listening to the river they created next to the cabin made me never want to leave. If we come back to the hills definitely know we're we will stay!!

Beautiful and relaxing
We absolutely loved the Trout Pond VRBO! It was exactly what our family needed to start our mornings and end our days after seeing the sites. The hosts welcomed us like family. We especially loved the trout pond, hot tub, hammock, jaccuzi tub and pool table. It was the perfect vacation spot to come home to for our family.

We loved staying in Nemo. Margaret and her husband were great hosts. The location was perfect and we had all the comforts of home . We were able to go all over western SD and return to a quiet location. We will definitely look up this location again if we can return to SD.
