We very much enjoyed staying in this well equipped condo with a beautiful panoramic ocean front view. The condo is located right on the beach with unobstructive views of the beach and ocean. So lovely to wake up each morning to look out at the boats moored in the bay and see the outrigger canoes on the water. The beach is excellent for walking at Sugar Beach Resort. The pool area was lovely and there were always enough lounge chairs whether it be by the pool or on the grass area overlooking the beach. The condo has everything you could want for a stay. We were there a month and found plenty of dishes and glassware as well as cooking utensils. The bed was very comfortable and the shutters on the bedroom window provided great light control so we were never woken early by light coming in the room. Shower was excellent, lots of hot water and there was even shampoo and soap for our use as well as skin lotion and shaving cream. These may have been left by a previous guest but we liked having them. Sugar Beach Resort is well located so that a run into Costco, Walmart or Target only took about 10-15 minutes depending on the time of day. We liked staying at the less busy end of Kihei. The south end is way too busy all the time so we enjoyed the peaceful area of North Kihei Road. We would suggest a car rental is needed as there are no grocery stores or restaurants near Sugar Beach Resort except for the small sandwich shop located in the resort. Highly recommend this unit!

The condo was exactly like the description and pictures. However, the view was much much better than advertised! Needed help with lock and Lucy was very helpful! Clean, well stocked and furnished. The amenities around the property (pool, chairs, beach and grassy area) were all great! In fact we extended our trip one night and stayed at the Wailea Beach Resort, the entire time we kept saying how much we missed Sugar Beach and it’s quietness. Made friends at Dina’s SandWitch shop on property as well! Great spot! All in all would highly recommend and look forward to rebooking next year! Thanks Doreen and Lucy!!!

Our first time in Maui and came early ahead of a business related trip. Booked this spot for the first four days and loved it. Easy to find, easy drive from the airport. The unit was extremely clean and comfortable with a great view of the ocean. Steps from the pool and the beach too. We had a rental car which made a big difference for shopping and seeing the sites. Host was great and answered the couple questions we had very quickly. We woudl definitely stay here again. You can’t go wrong with this soot.

This property was perfect for us! The view from the balcony is stunning! Sunsets! Absolutely spotless and clean, everything you need. The entire property is also awesome! Great beach, pool, and sandwich shop. I highly reccomend this property!

This property was perfect for us to celebrate our anniversary. My husband wants to make it an annual trip now. It's the perfect central location. It's truly a home away from home. The unit is fully stocked from a complete kitchen to beach towels, and chairs. The view is gorgeous and right on the water. We had a great time.

First of all, Doreen was wonderful to work with. She was empathetic & flexible in working with us as we did a rebooking due to the Maui fires. While this area was fine, we had uncertainty on whether it was the right thing to still come. She helped us through this change. This bucket trip was in celebration of our 50th anniversary & it was everything we hoped it to be. The condo is perfect! Location, Location, Location. The view & sound of the waves are magnificent. Condo well stocked & very clean. Thank you Doreen!!!!

Our recent stay at Sugar Beach Resort was fabulous. The view is spectacular! We had everything we needed on site. It is a very relaxing and inviting atmosphere. The only suggestion I have is to consider replacing the mattress. It is very hard and not the most comfortable. Other than that, this property is top notch!!! Thank you for sharing it with others.

My husband and I stayed here for our one year anniversary. The view was great, the location was perfect, and the proximity to the pool/beach were the best. Would definitely stay again.

This property deserves more than 5 stars. EVERYTHING was top notch. You can hear the waves crashing on shore as soon as you opened the door go into condo. Loved the 3rd floor, direct ocean view. Did I say million dollar view? OMGoodness. We spent HOURS resting, enjoying 'home cooked' meals, reading on the lanai. I even found mini flashlight in kitchen drawer... used it to read outside at night to symphony of the waves. The lounge chair comfty for a nap! The location was a quick 10min trip from airport, parking a breeze (free and plenty of spaces) and on same side as condo. Sugar Beach has 2 bldgs. The beach felt private only few people walking by/swimming in waves at any given time A quick 1/2mile walk down beach toward town-then cross street to delicious Sugar Beach Bakery and Ululani's Shaved Ice(worth the wait). ABC store close too. Condo has all pots/pans/dishes/utensils you need. There are reg. Towels, beach towels, 2 beach chairs and small/lg coolers to use for excersions. The pool and hot tub were refreshing... the bbq grills were great! Location very central to everything -- airport (target/costco/walmart), Lahaina (love the Front Street vibe and Banyan tree!), Kaanapali and even Maalea for snorkle tours... and to downtown Kihei (Pai Fish Market!) To Wailea. We enjoyed it all and then some. A gracious Mahalo to The Appletons for offering their very special place. We hope to return to Maui sooner than later and will definitely stay at Sugar Beach.

What a wonderful unit! Everything advertised and more. We didn't need half of what we brought. The kitchen was overstocked. We didn't even need a corkscrew! A fantastic view of the ocean and close to every where we wanted to go to. Just bring your bathing suit!

Clean with everything we needed. Activity center on property to rent snorkel equipment , beach things, etc. perfectly located to all Maui activities.

We absolutely loved our stay here! The location was perfect, the condo amenities were excellent, and the beach was unbelievable. We liked this condo more than our luxury hotel in Honolulu. Doreen was extremely efficient and helpful with all of our communications. You will not be disappointed with any aspect of this rental.

Doreen was extremely pleasant to communicate with and her property was beautiful. The process of checking in is very straight forward and she informs you with all necessary information leading up to your stay. The property is in a convenient location allowing for easy access to all of the island, most importantly quick transportation to and from the airport (15-20min). We were happy to find that the condo was equipped with beach chairs, a cooler and beach towels to use during our stay. This resort felt like home allowing for a very comfortable stay for my partner and I for 10 days. Would highly recommend booking with Doreen for her service and the lanai view alone, everything else is a bonus! Would definitely consider staying again if we ever book a trip to Maui again!

This is our 10th time to Sugar Beach and we had a great experience at this unit. It had everything we needed for beach or hanging out at the condos. My wife loved all the vintage photos throughout the unit. Very well decorated. Bed was comfortable.

We loved our stay at Sugar Beach. The condo was clean and exactly as described. It had everything you’d ever need. The view was magical and we enjoyed many sunsets from the Lanai.

Location, location, location! This condo is in the perfect spot to enjoy all of the beaches on the south coast, as well as the rest of the island. The unit was clean and well appointed. It had everything you need to stay comfortably + more. Having the ocean right outside your door was amazing. We walked the beach each morning and watched the sunsets each night. We were able to see whales daily from the lanai and we even saw a shark looking for breakfast one morning! We were grateful for the beach chairs that came with the unit too! The unit is close to grocery stores, restaurants and anything else you need but the ideal location in the center of the island made it easy to get any where. We would definitely recommend it to others and would rent it again on our next trip to Maui!

It was such a pleasure to wake up every morning to this beach front view! The location was very conveniently, centrally located on Maui. The condo was well equipped with some recent upgrades. In unit washer/dryer a plus. Loved all tile floors and no carpet. Beautiful sandy beach and pool area with hot tub. The owner, Doreen, very responsive to my questions about what was supplied so we would know what to bring. For example, they provide beautiful beach towels. We will be back for sure!

We loved our time in this beautiful condo, with so many extras and all the comforts of home. From the comfortable king size bed to the well equipped kitchen, all the extras like plenty of towels and hangers, and nice comfortable furniture on the lanai, where we spent plenty of time enjoying our meals and the stunning views and sounds of the waves on the beach. We could not be happier with our time here. Will definitely recommend this unit to anyone visiting sugar beach.

Beautiful location right on Sugar Beach. There was always something exceptional to view and enjoy: Sunsets, Outrigger Canoes in the morning, people watching and hearing the sound of the waves breaking. Walks in the sand on Sugar Beach every morning was a plus. The unit was well appointed and very comfortable. I would definitely come back.
