My family and really loved the home. It was really clean and just the right size for us all.

The house was well-stocked and clean. Fresh linens and towels were provided. The property manager was very responsive. Easy check-in and check-out. Very convenient to Parris Island, Port Royal, and Beaufort! Would definitely stay there again!

This house at 260 Brickyard Point Road,South was perfect for 4 couples attending a wedding in the Low Country. Close to Beaufort. House had everything you could want. Especially the kitchen. Agent - Martha O'Reagon was very accomodating.

Musty odor throughout. Food left in the oven. Mattresses too soft. I would not stay there again.

It’s a nice house in a nice area. Only about 15-20 minutes from Parris Island and it’s an easy commute. The house is nice just as others have stated it’s very dated. We would stay again if we were in the area.

This was the halfway point for all of my mom’s siblings to meet one more time before one of them passes away. The crowd I traveled with was well into their 80s and 90s. While this house is not handicapped accessible, it was a lovely and relaxing place for everybody to stay. It was roomy, comfortable, and very clean. We made ourselves at home and it felt just like being at grandmas house. Everything we needed was right there and it was only minutes from good restaurants, entertainment, and the water. I would highly recommend this place and would certainly stay there again.

The house was overall nice, but absolutely full of roaches, had the everywhere in the bathroom and kitchen, our friend even had some in the bed with him. House definitely needs updating and a exterminator!!!!!!! Now we have to worry about carrying them home in our bags :-(

This rental was perfect for us. The kitchen was well equipped with everything we needed for evening meals. We also enjoyed playing games, and putting a couple of puzzles together. We caught one of the beautiful sunsets across the street, and enjoyed looking for shark teeth at nearby Sands Beach. We will definately rent Southern Comfort again.

Very clean, roomy, and convenient location

The home was lovely. It was clean and well maintained. Communications between us and the property manager were very good. The home worked well for the size and dynamics of our group. Our family was there for Marine Corps graduation and the home is located conveniently for that occasion. The view of the sunset over the water from the look out across the road is fabulous. Also close to stores and restaurants if any are necessary. Had a wonderful family time.

Our stay at Southern Comfort was Great! The home was well stocked, very comfortable and inviting. Plenty of space for everyone to have their own room. We enjoyed taking pictures in the back yard, it made for Great family photos and the public park across the street was great for evening sunset viewing. We would stay again and Martha the property manager was a real gem, she went out of her way to make sure things were right for us. We had a Great week and were glad we chose to stay at this property and wouold do so again.

Family visiting from Texas and NC with friends from Beaufort. Definitely enjoyed ourselves many comments from family and friends was all about how it felt we were at our grandmother's house. Check in and check out was easy. I recommend taken a cup of coffee in the morning and go across the street for the sun rising it was amazing view. Older home with southern charm

We were very happy with this rental. Although the home is quite dated, and could use some repairs. But it was very well located, the backyard is fantastic. The house was larger than I expected, so that was a nice surprise. The kitchen was well equipped. Perfect for a younger family. I would not hesitate to recommend this home.

This charming home was a perfect fit for my family to gather together and celebrate our new Marine grandson’s graduation from boot camp. It was clean and well equipped yet just “lived in” enough for us to feel comfortable and relaxed. The owner’s personality can be sensed throughout the home because of the books and personal items she left behind. We highly recommend Southern Comfort; the name truly fits!

Location was fantastic. Plenty of room. Quaint southern charm. Not very modern but we love the old southern feel. Everything you need is there for your stay. The tree in the back yard was beautiful loved the books you could read about Beaufort . The outdoor grill needed some repairs. They take care of everything for you. Ownership very attentive and respond very quickly.

Southern Comfort was the best place we could have ever had our first family vacation. Plan on staying hear next year.

We celebrated our daughters graduation from Marine boot camp. We had 10 adults and three children in our group and the house was plenty big enough for all of us to spread out and enjoy a real family experience. The trip to Parris Island Marine base was only approx 20 minutes away and easy to find. The house is not modern, but very quaint and cozy. The manager was accommodating and we had everything we needed to feel at home. This was our first time renting a home while out of town and it was a great experience. Would rent this house again!!

The house was big enough for all our family that was coming for my son's graduation and cheaper than staying in a hotel. It was a nice area and close to base. The property manager was great!

This was a perfect setting for 4 generations of family to relax and celebrate our sons graduation a Marine. Older but lovely home, well kept and clean. The location is ideal if you're attending a Parris Island graduation--just 15 minutes away.

The house was everything we were looking for and fit all of our needs . Our only complaint was the down stairs AC unit would not go below 73. It was a very hot week when we were in SC even at night and sleeping was a little uncomfortable, other than that would recommend.

We loved the house. It had so much space for all the family to come over and play football in the back yard and cook dinner. With our new marine.

LOVED IT! I have to say, the house is exactly as the pictures show. The kitchen is well stocked with pans, pots, plates, forks, knives, cups, etc. There is a drip coffee maker and an electric oven which we worked with. If you are looking for a hotel like feel, this is not the place. Pros: The rental manager was great, ready with the key and available for questions, lots of space, nice living room area to decompress, beautiful tree in the back yard, my GPS said 25 min Parris Island but i swear it was only about 10-15 tops. The cons: The water in the area, it is not specific to the rental house, but the water all over beaufort and Parris Island has a distinct taste and smell to it- kind of swampy. The biggest tip I can give you is to bring tons of drinking and cooking water. That being said, my daughter who graduated thought all 10 of us were crazy and the water tasted fine. She said she was filling up her canteen from the faucet in bootcamp. So I do want to stress that the water issue could just be a taste preference for out of towners. Only two TVs in the whole house, one in the living room (with dvd player) and one in downstairs Queen bedroom. The layout of the house is amazing, from the outside it does not look as big as it is- but you are pleasantly suprised when you walk in. My son it seems will become a Marine and we will definitely rent this house again. It was well worth the money and Martha was a dream at "checkout".

We had a wonderful stay at this house. There was 11 of us and we fit just fine. House was clean and had everything needed for a family. Martha was very helpful and accomodating. Wifi would have been nice to have but forced us to spend time together which wasn't a bad thing at all! ! Would recommend this house to anyone. Thanks

YES -- I would definitely recommend this home to anyone with a large family wanting to spend quality time together in a relaxed atmosphere! My large family and I stayed in this home for five days. These five days were so special. We were able to see my new Marine graduate from boot camp, celebrate Thanksgiving together, and just enjoy each others company for the week! Although we did not have any problems the owner/ manager was available anytime for problems or questions. The photos on this web site are accurate. The place was clean. It is an older house and is not "perfect" but that is what gives this place its charm and it relaxed atmosphere! We would stay here again and would definitely recommend it to others. My week here was just AWESOME!!! :) I am so thankful that we were able to rent this home!

This is an older home with lots of character and charm. The description and photos are accurate; however, the house is quite large and is bigger than it appears in the pictures...a nice surprise. It comes with a well equipped kitchen to help save on the food bills while traveling with a large family. The lot is large with a big back yard as well as front yard with plenty of trees. We enjoyed being outside during our stay as the weather was spectacular. We also enjoyed beautiful sunsets over the water each night we were there. If you want modern and new, you may not like it here. However, we enjoyed the older home and the furnishings were very nice.

Southern Comfort is the very epitome of life in the low country. This property is exactly as advertised and does not disappoint. The home was ready and clean on time for our arrival. We stayed four days and three nights and were in town for a wedding. We used all the space the house has to offer, which is ample enough that we were also able to host the wedding reception after party and still find sleeping space for those who decided to stay rather than drive when the night was over. The large, open concept kitchen and dining area were perfect for entertaining! The property manager lives across the street, and though we didn't need to, it was comforting to know she was close if we needed her for anything during our stay. It's a shame pets are not considered; my dogs would have loved the beautiful fenced yard, which is another perfect spot for entertaining and the large live oak is beautiful. I would recommend this property without reservation to any looking for an affordable southern experience. Several grocery stores and a liquor store close by. Easy to find and a short drive to historic downtown Beaufort and Port Royal.
