The property was older but was pretty good for 4 adults and an infant. May rent for a weekend stay but to small for a week. At least i would need a larger place for a week stay.

The location was great. The water pressure wasn’t great for bathing. We enjoyed how peaceful the area was!

Great little place, staff is very chill and friendly, and love all the things to do both at the resort and in the local area!

The unit is in a great location on the property. It is near the only laundry room, the outdoor hot tub, the building's elevator and luggage cart storage, and a pool entrance. It is on the other side of the complex from the indoor pool/tub. On the ground floor, it is easy access. The pool and slide are great, and beach access is all ramped. The unit is small, and more suited to four, but it is nice to have the option for additional two if there are kids but is more cramped. But with so much to do there and in the area, there isn't much time needed to hang out inside. Our only complaint would be that the consensus was the mattresses were uncomfortable, but that can be a matter of personal taste as well. Host was responsive, and the staff at the facility were very friendly.

Perfect condo for our family vacation! Condo was very clean and had everything we needed for our stay at the beach. We would definitely love to stay here again next year!

Everything was great!! Very nice condo!! The owner and the check in process was great! The pool was awesome for the kids!! Our son love the water slide.

The grounds were great with a lot of different activities. We really enjoyed our stay. The condo was small but our family was comfortable.

The condo was as advertised, maybe even a bit nicer/bigger than depicted in the photos. It is not as freshly updated as some of the others but everything was clean, comfortable, and in working order. We had a great stay. The location in the building was perfect.

Nice place, at first was hard to figure out the building lol but once I got it it was okay!! Nice little place and quiet!! The kitchen is in the hallway which made it hard when two people was trying to walk and also cook but it worked out and the stay was very nice no issues at all!! Hopefully we can return again soon!!

I enjoyed spending time with my Marine daughter and my family! This location was only 25 minutes from Cherry Point and right on the beach!

Condo was clean and well kept. Location in Resort was great for us—close to elevator, easy access to amenities. The grandkids had a great time at APATB. We will return.

The condo was very clean. We really didn’t spend a whole lot of time in the condo. There was so much to do around the resort. My kids loved the playground and huge courtyard. The indoor pool, basketball and mini golf. Communication with the host was great. I saw reviews about the televisions in the condo. They worked just fine for us. Which we only used the living room TV in the evening. Great place! Will book again!

I was pleased with everything. I appreciate the communication and the suite! It was clean organized and felt comfortable and like home. I will come back soon and I will definitely recommend this to everyone I know. Thank you so much my daughter was so happy with the place.

Checking in late was no problem. Called after hours # and the clerk was so friendly and nice to stay on the phone with us till we got our packet from the locker at the office. The rooms were perfect for our company and very clean and had everything we needed. We couldn't get the TV to work in the living room or the smaller bedroom but it didn't matter because we didn't really find time to watch TV. The master bedroom TV worked just fine. We had so much fun in the playground area because we had a toddler under two and he loved the grass to run around in. Location was great. Just minutes from Fort Macon and the Aquarium. We enjoyed our stay very much and would love to do it again!

The second bedroom (off the living room) where my 11 year old son was going to sleep had bedbugs on the the pillows and mattress. We counted at least 4 and I took a photo of one. Our son ended up sleeping in our bed for the duration of the trip (3 nights) on the other side of the condo. Luckily, the bedbugs were confined to his room only. The owner promised he would reimburse us for part of our stay (my friends said we should've asked for and gotten a full refund). When we got home, the owner informed me that his exterminator informed him my photo was of a water bug which it clearly was not, and refused to give us a refund. Either he has the world's worst exterminator or he is not telling the truth. Either way, we will not be renting from this owner again! Be warned. In addition to the bedbugs, the kitchen was not very clean and the cable was not working for the duration of our stay. We love the location and have stayed at Place at the Beach in other condos in the past and had no issues; very disappointed with this condo and owner.

Giant cockroaches in hallway and on patio. 2 people on patio + 3 giant cockroaches makes an overpopulated space. Never did get TV's in either bedroom to work. When I called Mr. Phelps, he said "the remotes are confusing, call Spectrum, otherwise I don't know what to tell you." Ummm, NOT MY RESPONSIBILITY! The pictures of the (outside) property must have been taken 30 years ago. Inside pictures were accurate, but the place was way smaller than it looked in the pictures. There was no convenience store on the property as I read in the description or reviews, also the game room didn't exist. Water pressure in master bathroom was terrible. I would not recommend this as a vacation spot.

Property was as stated online. It was nice with a lot of kitchen utensils, comfy beds, great location with great amenities. Room did smell a tad musty the first 2 days, but subsided after that. We assumed it was because it had been empty a few days before we got there. There were tvs in living room and bedrooms like ad said, but the spectrum equipment did not work in bedrooms while we were there. Next time I will bring a roku just in case for the kids. Cable can be finicky at times. I do agree with a few other reviewers; the room needs more food storage areas, we did utilize the wooden shelf in living room for that. We had a party of 6 so we had a lot of stuff to bring. We definitely would stay at the property again if going to Atlantic Beach.

This was a great place to stay

We loved our stay here. The unit has everything you need to have a comfortable sleep, meals and re group before going out for more activities. Lots to do on site and close by. The closeness of the ocean was wonderful but on windy / wavy days our family enjoyed the pool amenities. Would vacation here again.

The property was nice. The only problem we had was the small kitchen space and lack of food storage space. You could put small shelves at the end where the broom was, that would help!

We really enjoyed this condo. The photos don't do it justice. It's bigger than it looks and was plenty of space for us. The kitchen might not be best for intense cooking, but was fine for cereal/sandwiches. The balcony is small, but fine for sitting (no table/lounge chairs.) Decor is nice, beds comfortable, linens high quality. We were very impressed with the resort property. Everything was clean and well maintained. The pool, slide, and hot tub and indoor pool and large indoor hot tub were great. There are charcoal grills with bags of charcoal located in the courtyard in front of the balcony and gas grills by the indoor pool and on the old basketball court. The boardwalk to the beach is new and well maintained, and a very short walk to the sand. The beach is clean and beautiful, and has a volleyball net. There is lawn bowling, shuffleboard, mini golf, tennis, and basketball, with free equipment in the office. We also discovered a gas firepit that guests can turn on and off, that was very pretty at night. We saw security officers walking the grounds daily, and saw 2 cars being towed for not showing their parking pass. Landscaping was being done daily. We spent several hours each day at the basketball court, and got to be friendly with security and the landscaping staff. One day we mentioned that someone had lowered one of the hoops, and asked how we can raise it. The employee didn't know, but 15 minutes later, someone came out with the tool and raised it. We also mentioned on another occasion that there was poison ivy (found that out the hard way...) in the landscaping, and minutes later someone was there pulling it out and spraying. We were just very impressed at this level of service and how well kept this property is. We would definately stay here again. Our contact with the owner was great as well. He kept good communication from the time we booked until check in, and actually responded to my request for restaurant recommendations.. The few observations I have for suggestions are simply that and are not complaints: toilets in both bathrooms are very close to the vanities. It was not a very comfortable set up. A smaller vanity might be better if a remodel is done. Balcony overlooks courtyard, and can be a little noisy. Main bedroom gets a lot of noise from the hallway and upstairs. Made for early mornings and no napping. Not complaints, just observations. This is a wonderful vacation home that I highly recommend.

Great time , Place was perfect for a relaxing get away. We were able to explore the area and get around very easily. Loved Shackleford Island, Fort Macon, Maritime Museum,NC Aquarium,Rudy Duck Tavern, Tackle Box Tavern, Oceana Pier and Monkey Bar has best nacho's ever! Beaches had lots of sea shells and people were extremely friendly.

Very affordable, nice condo for a week at the beach although not extravagant in furnishings. Having multiple stays at this unit, I was already aware of its appeal in property location, furnishings, etc.

Host very responsive. Everything as expected. A good value for families looking for amenities.

The condo was small but as pictured. Just realize the kitchen is really a space in a hallway versus a true galley kitchen. We didn’t cook much so that was fine with us. The condo says it sleeps 6 and technically it does but I wouldn’t recommend booking for more than 3 people, maybe 4 is two are kids. The complex has many amenities. The indoor pool is nice. Due to the time of year we booked, the outdoor pool and water slide weren’t open but looked lovely. It is a short walk to the beach. While we were there, they were replacing the boardwalk so we only had access to the beach from the property one day. However, there is a state park right down the road so we drove there and accessed the beach that way. The new boardwalk is lovely though. The area is convenient with many goo restaurants. We highly recommend the Shark Shack. Yum. The North Carolina Aquarium is close and has a fabulous outdoor area/nature trails. This was one of the highlights for my kids. Overall, a good price for what you get.

The unit is comfortable and adorable and great for a 2 person weekend, and seem to be well stocked. However, just so others know what to expect, the long halway from 1 end of the unit to the other is very narrow and basically only 1 person can walk down it at a time. You have the master at 1 end as well as the front door and hall bathroom. The living room, other bedroom and porch at the other end with kitchen in between in the narrow hallway. It was just 2 of us for a girls weekend and we didnt cook but we laughed about how if our other friend would have came or even worse, we did a couples weekend with our husband's, we would be so frustrated and probably ready to kill each other, lol! This isn't a complaint, it's just so others have a heads up if they have more than a couple of people, kids, and/or planning to cook meals; you should expect it to get crowed. Otherwise it was perfect for what we needed 😁.

Nice, quiet place. Not much going on in late December. Enjoyed the hot tub most of all.

Really nice! Everything was as promised. Clean rooms. Nice amenities. On a side note... 4 corners restaurant down the road was awesome. Fishing was GREAT at the Oceana pier.

I’ve stayed at this resort before and I always come back to it. The condo I stayed in this time was small but quaint and priced great! It could use some updating and a thorough cleaning. All in all, great place for the price.
