A Beautiful, Dog Friendly, Mountain Getaway perfect for multiple families
Cette belle cabane de montagne peut accueillir deux familles. La maison a un sentiment ouvert avec de grandes fenêtres de salon avec cheminée et plafond en pin avec lumière / ventilateur. Le salon, la salle à manger et la cuisine ont tous accès au pont arrière et à l'écoulement pour en faire une sensation d'ouverture. La cuisine gastronomique ajoute à ces caractéristiques. A l'étage, il y a un grenier et 2 grandes chambres avec de grandes fenêtres et des ventilateurs de plafond. La salle den / bonus a 2 façons d'accéder et est configurée pour un divertissement complet, une télévision grand écran, un son surround. Le centre de loisirs avec baignade, tennis et autres activités est disponible pendant les mois d'été pour une somme modique.

We loved our stay- such a fun house. The owners really set you up for success with a well stocked kitchen- tons of spices, even a bit of butter in the fridge! The kids enjoyed all the games and ping pong. Our dog loved exploring the outdoors and chasing chipmunks. We went to Lake Alpine our first day which was so picturesque and not crowded at all. It was a perfect day of swimming SUP-ing and there was even live music at the Alpine lodge. The next day we fell in love with the Rec Center- Inner Tube Water Polo was my most joyful discovery of the summer! We would love to be able to come back next summer.

The home is clean and well equipped. The kitchen was perfect for our family, who love to cook. There were games, both indoor and outdoor, that were enjoyed by all. The listing said sleeping for 10; there were 7 of us and it slept 6 comfortably. There are bunk beds in one room that we did not feel were sturdy enough for two children; one of the sofa beds was uncomfortable. One bedroom was too hot to use. There was a window mount air conditioner in the family room but it could not cool all of the bedrooms, in spite of our best efforts. There were two small fans to circulate air, but only one was working. There was plenty of space for sleeping bags, which we brought for the kids. Please note we were there during the heat wave; it would not have been an issue had it not been hot. The location is perfect - between Calaveras Big Trees and Lake Alpine, and easy to get everywhere. The kids loved the HOA pool and activity center, which we have used in the past. However there was not a house guide giving instructions or directions to anything. Some of the amenities were not used because we didn't know how to operate them. Trash needs to be brought out to a nearby collection site, but there were no directions as to how to get there. Prior to check in, the owners were responsive and pleasant. We chose not to contact them while we were there regarding these issues as it is, overall, a beautiful home in a perfect location. We would definitely return.

We stayed at this property over the Memorial Day weekend and it was perfect for my family. The master bedroom downstairs with large master bath was great for my parents who have trouble with stairs. The upstairs bedroom with bunk beds was a hit with my two boys. And there was a pack-n-play that came in very handy for naptime for my brother’s little infant. The large living and dining room had ample space for the whole family of 9 to spend time together. The kitchen was well appointed and we made good use of it for all our meals. The hot tub was ideal for a steamy soak after long hikes in the nearby big trees state park. This house is a gem.

We spent about a week at Linda's beautiful home. It was spacious and clean with plenty of space for our family to spread out and enjoy our vacation. The kitchen was well stocked and we cooked great meals every day. The kids always had something to do and loved the upstairs area. We had two days of snow and enjoyed sitting on the back deck while the kids and dogs played. The neighborhood is wonderful and really quiet. Linda was super responsive and quick to check in on us as the snow came down about when the snow plow would come through. We had a wonderful vacation at Linda's cabin and hope to stay there again in the future.

This is a second time we stayed at the property and it is perfectly located to be close to snow with kids without having to chain up every time. The development get ploughed well but you can catch times in the morning when you can sled in driveways. We go to bear valley for cross country ski and this is a perfect spot. House is well appointed and feels homey, not like a blank rental

We had a wonderful stay at this cabin! Fantastic, well-appointed space for two families with 5 kids ages 1-8 years old. It was incredibly clean! There was ample space to hang out and enjoy. The bedrooms offered more than enough space and were very comfortable for all of us (4 adults and the 5 kids). The kitchen is very well stocked with cooking utensils and equipment. The cabin also had a bunch of board games and sleds. We were a great distance away from Bear Valley and were able to hit the slopes early from this location. Wouldn’t change a thing about this place! The hosts were very responsive and friendly! The neighborhood is on a bit of an incline to get into, so chains or winter tires +4WD recommended if it’s heavily snowing/icy. The driveway is plowed which is great though! Thank you for a lovely stay!

The house was well stocked up with various necessities (show shovels, coffee filters) and everything was in great shape. The yard outside was great, large enough for our 2 dogs to run around in the snow a bit

Linda's place was a wonderful spot for us. Perfect accessability to Lake Alpine, Bear Valley, Arnold, Murphys, New Melones, etc. Lots of space, with large rooms, and would easily hold two families with kids, or 3-4 couples without kids. Couches and beds were very comfortable, kitchen was fully stocked with appliances and utensils, and there were a ton of board games in the upstairs family room. Hot tub was a nice plus, and great after a long day of boating or swimming. Linda was very responsive, and kind enough to move our dates after accidents/injuries forced us to postpone our trip. Would happily stay here again!

This is a beautiful mountain home located in a very quiet and relaxing community. The house is very well designed with large spaces that allowed us plenty of room to spread out. The kitchen was well stocked with quality cookware, spices, glassware, and almost every appliance you could want. The deck is spacious and a great place to just hang out. The host was very responsive and it was clear that they have taken care of every detail. We had a few really hot days where the upstairs bedrooms were toasty at night, but ceiling and floor fans got us through. There is only AC in the upstairs den. Overall, a wonderful spot and definitely would return for another visit.

Such a spacious house, well cared for and well equipped. This was a great base to go to bear valley downhill resort and nearby cross country areas as well as Calaveras park. We even got to sled in the neighborhood after a big snow. There is snowplow service so getting in and out was not an issue. Note that you have to take garbage out with you- but transfer station is on the way so was not an issue. Perfect house for a family stay

Based on the reviews we read we had high expectations going in. I'm very familiar with the area and have rented other properties in the surrounding area numerous times. This home and its owners have now set the bar for us. The home is wonderfully laid out and appointed, and its clear that the owners have gone to great lengths to make it comfortable. We enjoyed the stay thoroughly and communications with the owners were prompt and very pleasant. My family all enjoyed themselves thoroughly and we are looking forward to a future visit!

We love staying at Linda's home! It is immaculately clean, fully furnished with all the fixings, and just far away from any main town to help feel privet and secluded (about 8-10 minutes up the hill past Arnold). This home is perfect for 2-3 small families or up to(10) people to spread out quite comfortably. We loved the steam shower upstairs- such a relaxing bonus. Always a treat and we look forward to another returning trip ahead!

We can’t wait to come back sometime! The area was quiet and the stars were beautiful at night. Our kids loved the Recreation area a few minutes down the road and the fun yard games at the house. We try to enjoy this property a few times every year. The accommodations are amazing and no matter what time of year you go there is always something fun to do. Linda, the host, is amazing and always makes sure everything is ready for you and is available while you are there to answer any questions. It is large enough for large families, grandparents and kiddos. We have made the best family memories here.

Great house and property
We stayed here with my parents and my 3 year old. The house is set up perfectly with tons of shared living space, private bathrooms, and the hot tub on the deck is just perfect. Our only disappointment was that we specifically selected a property with access to an HOA recreation center so my son could use the pool (the local lakes/rivers are just too cold). He was talking about the pool all week and very excited. I asked the owner several times about the rec center, to make sure it was open, and that we could access it, how far away it was, etc. and they assured that we could. But when we went to use the pool, the HOA said the homeowner wasn't a member and wouldn't even let us pay to use the facility since the homeowners weren't members. My son was soooo disappointed.

Mountain Home Dream
The house was immaculate and it contained everything we needed: lots of cozy throws, numerous TVs, coffee maker, ice maker plus all the typical furnishings (including paper products). The host provided lots of information in advance, she was in contact with us prior to our arrival, and she responded quickly to my questions. The location was fantastic: the house was nestled among tall pines and eateries were easy to get to. The house is even more beautiful than the pictures. I would highly recommend this fantastic mountain home to anyone looking for a place to stay in this area.

Great place to recharge and enjoy the outdoors!
Home and location was great, spacious, and wonderful home layout. We had a blast and enjoyed cooking, hot tub, visiting the lake and also visiting Calaveras Big Trees Stet Park for some hiking among the coolest trees.

Beautiful Location and Home
Huge, clean, comfortable and welcoming home. Lots to like about the home and location. Our friends and family had a wonderful stay for a long winter weekend. Activities to please everyone - skiing at Bear Valley, soaking in the large hot tub, cooking delicious meals, games, and walks in the quiet neighborhood. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Calaveras adventure
Our stay was excellent. We lost power the first night but there was a gas fireplace so we stayed warm and the power was back on by the time we returned from our day trip. We loved the house and will be back.
