Évadez-vous dans un charmant chalet en pierre qui se trouve à 6 pieds des rives du magnifique lac Sylvia. Le chalet dispose de 2 chambres - dont une avec vue sur le lac (réveil aux beaux levers de soleil). L'autre chambre dispose de 2 ensembles de lits superposés intégrés avec leurs propres lampes de lecture (4 couchages). Cuisine bien équipée. Plan d'étage ouvert avec un mobilier très confortable. Profitez d'un dîner ou jouer à des jeux dans un coin repas confortable. Le chalet possède également un magnifique foyer au gaz en pierre. En été, profitez de la salle à manger au-dessus du hangar à bateaux ou assis sur la balançoire du porche avec votre café du matin. Dock et élévateur et un canoë pour votre usage. De nombreux endroits intéressants à explorer dans les villes voisines pittoresques avec des magasins d'antiquités et de vintage. Merveilleux restaurants locaux. Dégustation de vins à Kimball et une nouvelle brasserie à Annandale à seulement quelques minutes.
L'automne est magnifique sur le lac Sylvia. Très paisible avec de jolis reflets dans l'eau des arbres colorés. Des nuits fraîches parfaites pour profiter des feux de camp sous les étoiles ou rester à l'intérieur - la cheminée en pierre vous gardera au chaud et confortable.
De nombreuses activités hivernales amusantes - ski et tubes de Powder Ridge - très amusant pour la famille. Parcs également à proximité avec des pistes de ski de fond. Randonnée en raquettes et pêche blanche sur la porte. Le temps de Noël est magnifique avec le chalet niché dans la neige décoré de lumières et de verdure. Se sent comme loin du stress de la vie. Le chalet en pierre confortable est une excellente escapade pour passer du temps avec la famille, le week-end entre filles, une escapade romantique ou le temps seul à moins d'une heure du métro.

I surprised my wife with a short weekend getaway with our daughter. We don't live too far, but it was nice to have a relaxing weekend all together, unplugging and just spending time together. The rental was super fun, and we had fun getting to go out onto the frozen lake!

The cabin is warm, well-appointed, and oh so comfortable. The host has a great eye for detail and made our stay a delight. Great views of the lake, very quiet, and we plan to go back soon!

This was a surprise birthday getaway for my boyfriend. To say the cottage was heavenly is an understatement. We immediately melted into its' coziness. The layout of the cottage, design, decor, fireplace, lighting & little touches throughout were impressive. For 4 days we felt like we actually lived there. Everything you need is there, I didn't have to dig into my "just in case they don't have it bins" once. The decks were literally above the water which was unbelievable clear. We felt incased in nature & heard the swans honking during our morning coffee from the deck. We took time to visit the surrounding cafes, coffee/antique shops & sampled fights of wine at the winery in Kimball. Dinner at 'The Thayer' is a must. Beautiful with a rich history-be sure to read up on it. We've stayed at MANY VRBO cabin get aways & this was easily the best. It is a stellar property. As our title states, we are going through cottage withdrawal. Packing up to leave was tough. The owners are gems and take the time to meet you upon check in. It is obvious why they have earned a "Super Host" status. Communication was timely and all of my many questions prior to arrival were kindly answered. We'd love to return and experience every season. If you are looking for a place to "just be" and do as little or as much as you want, hurry up & reserve this property!

I have no words to describe this beautiful cottage. It was much more than we expected; the pictures don't do it justice.
First of all, we loved the fact it was less than an hour and a half drive for us. (coming from south suburbs of the TC) When we drove up, it looked like something out of a fairy tale book. Jane was there to greet us when we arrived. She showed us around and gave us some great tips on restaurants in the area.
There are many outside areas to enjoy;
the patio over the boat house,
the fire pit, the deck, the beach. All were well kept.
The inside of the cottage is so cozy and welcoming. The kitchen has everything you need. Jane must have had a wonderful time decorating. She did a fabulous job of creating an inviting and homey feeling.
There is nothing negative I can say about the cottage. Or Jane - she's a great host!

So many charming details. All the rest, relaxation and retreat you would expect at a cabin on the lake and more! The loons called to us each morning to wake us. Coffee on the dock at sunrise is a must! Beautiful new beach front, very clean lake. Super cozy bed. Well appointed kitchen.

Great communication, the hosts made sure we were greeted and had a tour of the cottage before starting our relaxing weekend getaway.
We had everything we needed and more, all in a wonderful setting. It wasn't a disappointment when a storm moved in; we made dinner, used the fireplace, played games, and did a puzzle.

We had an incredibly relaxing weekend at this adorable cottage. We lucked out on some amazing weather and spent our days soaking up the sun on the beach, floating on the water and paddling around the lake in the kayaks. In the evenings, we enjoyed movies, games and just soaking in the views. We loved everything this place had to offer. Jane was an incredibly warm and welcoming host. We cannot say enough good things about our stay and will definitely be looking to book again in the future!

I have been eyeing this cottage for a few years. I finally had some time to go away for a weekend and have some quiet time by myself. This place totally fit the bill. Quaint, quiet, beautiful and peaceful. I was going to read a lot but got hooked on the romantic comedy movies that were available. Listened to some CD's on the Bose system, slept, watched the activity on the lake and was able to recharge. Next time I will bring my husband! Want to come back in warmer weather and experience the water in the lake. Thank you for the weekend I have been looking forward to for many years.

Stayed here just after New Year, in the snow storm, beautiful location, far enough away to hear no traffic but close enough to everything that it didn't feel to far off the beaten path, Jane and Ted were great hosts and stayed in touch though the storm to check we were ok! Would definitely recommend

I can't tell you enough how much we LOVED staying at this adorable cottage! Jane was amazing and met us at check-in (with freshly baked cookies!) and showed us around. She even took the time to text me links to some of her favorite local shops and restaurants. My friends and I had a great time enjoying the quiet atmosphere while crafting, reading, playing games, and cooking. It was the perfect weekend and we are already planning on going back in the fall to enjoy the beautiful colors and kayak. The kitchen is fully stocked, there are tons of movies, books, CD's and games to enjoy. And everything is nice quality: bedding, mattresses, furniture, blankets, etc. Just writing this makes me want to go back!

My husband and I enjoyed a winter weekend getaway at this adorable cottage. PERFECT COZY VIBES! We had fun staying in and playing games, but we also got out and explored what the nearby towns had to offer. Enjoyed a yummy dinner at Son of a Butcher in Kimball - very cool place. Had breakfast at the Homestyle Country Cafe in Annandale. And we bummed around the shops in Buffalo and grabbed a drink at the Thirsty Buffalo. The host, Jane, was extremely friendly and made us feel welcome. We'd love to come back in the summer to enjoy the lake and the outdoor spaces at the cottage!

We stayed at the cottage three weeks before Christmas for a girls weekend and it couldn’t have been more magical! Jane met us there and explained all the ins and outs very clearly. She was extremely friendly and very easy to get a hold of. The cabin was decorated for the holidays and had an easy-to-use gas fireplace. So so cozy! There were some backup supplies (floss, etc.) although I did forget my toothbrush and the nearest store was 20 minutes away so that was a small inconvenience (my fault though!), but something to keep in mind when booking a place out of town. Twin bunks were a little small and soft, but my friends enjoyed them and I moved to the queen bed and it was lovely! Good wifi, extremely quiet at night, easy to find w/Google maps, cozy, comfy, darling! What more could you want? We are already talking about booking again!

This little cottage on the lake was simply a magical to spend a few days to unwind before the hectic Christmas activities. Perfect place to connect, light a fire, wrap some gifts and listen to music or watch movies. We enjoyed being snowed in over a few frigid December nights!

We thoroughly enjoyed this beautiful stone cottage! Jane was responsive and met us to orient us to the lovely space. They’ve thought of all items we could possibly require during our stay.
This home is so cozy and comfortable!! Photos don’t do justice to the space. We spent Thanksgiving Holiday there and couldn’t have been more grateful! Know that the bunks in bedroom 2 are shorter than full twins so plan accordingly; our adult daughter and her husband bunked there but they’re 5’6” and shorter so they were fine. Lake Sylvia is absolutely gorgeous.
