This place has something for everyone and dog friendly is a huge plus! One block to the beach and a few blocks from town.

It's a cozy house, so close to the beach. We really enjoyed our time here and would definitely come again.

This place has all the amenities, it is steps from the beach, an easy walk to downtown, and going the other way to Haystack Rock. The kitchen is the kind you can really cook in! But mostly, the house seems like it's been well loved by the owners for years, it is beautiful and idiosyncratic, it's not someone's fourth home or an investment property, it's a real family beach home. They have some good books, too. We love going here, found it initially because of our old dog being welcome. (Sadly, he passed away.) But we keep coming when we can.

This home was the perfect stay in Cannon Beach. Half a block from the ocean - right in between the two main areas of shops. I can't wait to return.

This is one of our family of 4's favorite vacation rentals. The house is well stocked, clean, and has a homey feel that is comforting and relaxing. There have also been some updates since the last time we stayed here that made the trip even better. The new couch, flooring, and paint are all nice touches. And the new beds and mattresses are very comfortable and make this house a notch above.
Of course, the location also can not be beat. You are walking distance to all of downtown Cannon Beach and just a stones throw from beach access.

Special
After opening the front door I knew I was relaxing with 3 special fellows in my life. The new floor and paint has updated this piece of heaven. Arriving upstairs we found the second bedroom to have 2 sets of bunkbeds and a new queen bed. O a few more guests can enjoy this historical cabin near haystack rock and many other attractions in the area. Can't wait to return in the future. Thanks for sharing your home

I’ll start with the bad & end with the good:1. The property manager was 100% non responsive which meant we had to pack far more than we needed. 2. The check-in email lists the wrong address3. The pack and play is disgusting. Don’t bother opening it—you’ll regret it! 4. The amenities could use an update—there’s no dishwasher and the microwave is very weak. 5. There were meager staples. No good oils, spices, sugar, flour etc—pack your own! Now the good! 1. The Location! It’s legit a minute walk to the beach and a gorgeous 30 minutes to Haystack Rock2. It was clean!3. There’s everything you need for beach play—chairs, boogie boards, a beach blanket, a kite, kids toys.4. The wood fireplace was heavenly; they stocked it with wood too!5. The downstairs bathroom was divine with the heater on. 6. There are plenty of kitchen gadgets—a ninja blender, pots and pans, utensils, eating dishes, Tupperware,Drip Coffeemaker, an electric griddle and even an outdoor propane grill that worked great! (I brought my Dutch oven to make Dutch babies :)Despite the complete lack of communication, it was the rustic beach-cabin-y getaway our family needed during COVID. Our dog loved it too.

The perfect spot for relaxing and enjoying the beach!
The house is quiet and so close to the beach that it’s easy to go back and forth many times a day! The deck at the house is a sunny refuge, when the beach is cooler and blustery. The house is well appointed for cooking. Linens are plentiful. Beds are comfortable. The large living room is great for families. We loved our stay here and will return!

Perfect
My husband and I needed a mid week getaway. This cabin is in a perfect area of Cannon Beach. We were very comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked. The bathroom had wonderful towels and the new bed upstairs had us both in dreamland all night long. Lovely new couch and love seat in the living room I noticed the minutes I walked in the door.

Amazing getaway
We absolutely loved our time at the historic haystack cabin. The location is absolutely fabulous just steps from an amazing beach. There is a lovely porch in a wonderful garden where hummingbirds will visit you while you’re having coffee. It is quiet and at night you can hear the ocean. It’s not luxurious, so if that’s what you’re looking for it might not be a good fit. There is not a dishwasher and it is a little bit rustic. However, we found it incredibly charming and comfortable which is what we were looking for. It was also nice to see our kids helping out and doing some dishes now and then. The place has lots of things you need to enjoy time at the beach like boogie boards, chairs, wet suites, wood for making a fire, Buckets for sand castles, games, etc. We did long walks and runs on the beach every day and saw the most amazing wild and marine life. The sunsets were magical and if you like photography it’s a photographers dream. We also rarely got in our car except for a few trips to go hiking and explore nearby beaches and were able to walk to get everything we needed. We also had a situation where my daughter dropped her phone under the deck which required a handyman to access it and they were incredibly responsive and helpful. I cannot speak highly enough of how much we loved the place. If you’re looking for a beautiful place to relax with your family and enjoy nature in a casual environment, where there are not big crowds in a beautiful part of the world where people are being responsible and respectful wearing masks and socially distancing this is your spot.

Cabin Time
We have stayed in this cabin before and never disappoints! The cabin is less then a minute walk to the beach or 3-5 minutes to the town, perfect for our family with two little ones. The rooms are both upstairs and beds are comfy, we loved sleeping with the widows open to listen to the ocean. The kitchen has what you need and the laundry room is a must at the beach. There is a wood burning stove perfect for s’mores. We will definitely be back!

Amazing location
I found the comfort of my home in this cozy place, warmed up by the woodstove and only 1 min walk from the beach. The downtown and Sleepy Monk cafe are within walking distance as well, what can I say, I love Cannon Beach!

Cozy little cabin
We were so happy we chose to stay in this great little cabin. It's super close to the beach and the downtown area, enabling us to hardly ever have to hop in the car. Very family friendly (we stayed with our 4 kids) and we all agreed that we want to stay here again next year!

Very Comfortable
This is the second year we have rented this place, and it was even better. The bed in the master bedroom has been improved, and is far more comfortable. The downstairs great room is truly wonderful. Very much enjoyed the fireplace and relaxing setting. At times parking is a bit of issue, but that is not a big problem. Overall it is a terrific place for a couple with a dog.

Great Home in a Great Location
This is our second time back to this home and hopefully there are many more. You can't find a better location in Cannon Beach - right next to the beach and the downtown area. The home itself is warm and comforting. It is a great place to relax, listen to the sounds of the ocean, and play board games.
The only thing stopping this home from getting 5 stars is the lack of a Queen size bed. We work around the Double, but a Queen would make this home a clear 5 star.

Lots of lights and heating options.
Cons:
Bedroom w/double bed needs a dresser.
Old double bed mattress needs to go. In fact, a Queen size bed would be better.
Room off kitchen would be better used as a bathroom with a soaking tub.
Needs a new vacuum cleaner.
Would definitely rent this home again!! Bought a couple of wine glasses at thrift shop for house as it only had 3. Could use more coffee mugs. Overall, it was a fun vacation home for 4 adults and a small pup.

Great place to stay
My wife and 20 month old stayed here for 5 days and had a wonderful stay. Perfect location steps away from the beach and easy walk into town. Place is very well-stocked with about anything you may need. Cozy, with lots of books for relaxed reading, and lots of beach gear and toys for children and adults. Property management team great and easy to work with for your needs.

Terrific Historical cottage
To start with the cottage is exactly as written up. I will also say it is very well managed, and the local representative was excellent. The location is very good, and the cottage was well equipped. My wife and I very much enjoyed our week long stay. The main floor space and furnishings were very comfortable. Upstairs is what you should expect of a cottage of this vintage. The beds are small, the ceilings low (in places), and the lighting now overly bright. But it was comfortable and what we expected.
We both very much enjoyed this property both inside and outside as well. The owners and the folks managing it do a very good job.

Comfy cottage by the sea
From the moment we rolled in we felt at home. The place was spotless. And everything you might need was there; beach towels, beach chairs, boogie boards, board games. Somehow while not stylish it was SO comfortable. And welcoming. It really did feel like you were staying with family... the kind you want to visit. We had a small shower snafu and our contact person Rita could not have been more helpful in resolving it! She checked in to make sure everything was going fixed and it was! Again we loved it and we’ll be back. The Montana Clan!

Loved it. Family friendly. Close to the beach. Comfy beds. Could hear the ocean from every open window. Great beach chairs toys and towels. We will be back next summer.
