Moongalbah met all of my expectations. The space accommodated our group 11 extremely well. The isolation of the property in the Clifftops provided excellent privacy as well as a great place for walks and observing wildlife. The kitchen was well stock, and all amenities satisfied our needs. It was a great place for our family to gather. I would highly recommend this property!

The photos of this house do not do it justice!
I felt like we were staying at the cozy mountain getaway of a dear family friend. Not only was "Moongalbah" clean and comfortable, but there was plenty of space for two families with young children to spread out and relax. We also had all of the supplies we needed-- never having to make multiple trips to the grocery store for something like paper towels or salt and pepper.
I unexpectedly broke my ankle before this trip and the "Master on Main" + bathroom was perfect for my limited mobility. Great back porch perfect for evening conversation with wine or quiet mornings with coffee solo.
Property is beautiful and perfectly tucked away, but not too far from the main road. We will absolutely be back!

The house was perfect for our week-long family retreat with our two adult children and their families. six adults and 7 children ages 1-9. Sue was the perfect host. The house is roomy with multiple sitting areas including a great rear deck and a well equipped kitchen. We enjoyed access to Clifftops amenities including fishing and swimming in the lake, a great pool and hiking trails. As a bonus the house is decorated with fascinating memorabilia from our host's world travels!

We loved staying at Sue's very private and quiet house in the woods. Coming from the busy city life, this is exactly what we needed. We felt very safe and the house was very spacious and the beds were comfy. Sue was a great and very thoughtful host. We would love to come back and stay! Also go to the Mountain Goat to eat.

Beautiful, clean, comfortable home in the woods! My family, including brother, sisters and their families
had a wonderful time here over New Years 2023. Sue is the most accommodating host. There was nothing
lacking, but she checked in several times just to be sure. We totally enjoyed our stay and will highly recommend Sue as a host and her beautiful home.

Sue was a gracious hostess. She was nice to give us extra time on each end, had a nice basket of goodies to welcome us and allowed my daughter’s dog to stay with us. Excellent communication and helpful signs throughout the house.
The house is in a nice secluded location backing up to some woods. It has a definite “lived in” feeling. If you’re the type of person who inspects every nook and cranny, this might not work for you.
The kitchen had every imaginable pot, pan and cooking utensil. The bedrooms were spacious and comfortable. The back yard was nice for the 3-year-old grandsons and the dog. The guys particularly enjoyed the backyard fire pit.
The TV and Sirius XM system worked well. Nice dining room with some seriously bright lighting, but the numerous candles provided a good lighting solution.
We had a good time.

Our family enjoyed gathering in Clifftops for Thanksgiving. We were able to comfortably spread out in the large house. The little ones enjoyed seeing the deer and hearing the owls! Sue was very easy to reach and readily answered any questions we had. Great place for a large group!

We are so glad we picked this home among the many choices in the Monteagle area for our family vacation trip. The house had plenty of room for the ten of us. It's at the end of a quiet cul-de-sac. Great communication with the owner, Sue, who provided a gift basket with wine and snacks and put a "reserved" sign on the door to the downstairs master bedroom for my wife and me. This gave us a quiet space while our daughters' families (four parents and four kids ranging in age from 10 months to 9 years) spread out in the four bedrooms upstairs. The kitchen was well stocked, including plenty of spices and condiments. We enjoyed the back deck with a large gas grill, a fenced backyard for our dachshund, and the amenities of the Clifftops - swimming pool, lake with sandy beach, and walking trails. Two really nice master suites and bathrooms. Peaceful and pretty moss garden in the front.

Something for Everyone
Our family of six ranged in age from 94 to 5 years-old and everyone had a good time at Clifftops. The beds were very comfortable and the kitchen was well supplied. The younger members of the family enjoyed swimming in the lake and pool. We spent most evenings playing games, making puzzles, or talking together on the porch. The home also has a wide variety of books to enjoy. Sue was a friendly host and promptly answered any questions we had. We appreciated her very thoughtful welcome gift basket.

Great House for Birthday Bash
The home was so comfortable and cozy for my large group of friends to gather and celebrate my birthday . Large bedrooms and plenty of bathrooms for 10 women is hard to find and Sue's home was perfect. The kitchen was very well stocked and provided a great gathering place. Of course, the scenery was wonderful as well and the privacy. We all had a terrific weekend! Sue was so helpful. Although we did not need a thing, we knew she was right there to help us if we did!

Clifftops Rocks!
Beautiful setting with daily deer sightings. The house is very spacious and comfortable. Sue was a terrific and relaxed host. Very close to Sewanee and 25 minutes to South Cumberland State Park. Plenty of toilet tissue, paper towels, and garbage bags, which is not always the case with STR’s. Kitchen has spices and condiments. We could have used more space in cabinets for our own groceries, but we easily managed. In summary, great house, great location, and great hosts.

Family Thanksgiving made easy
Our family, ages 8 to 85, enjoyed a long Thanksgiving weekend at Moongalbah. Sue had everything we needed to prepare a feast for 10, and feast we did. We also enjoyed walking the trails in Clifftops, trying out the pickleball courts, and watching the deer each morning. The house is nicely laid out - the grandparents had the master suite on the main floor and the rest of us spread out in the 4 bedrooms upstairs. It was an ideal location for us, and Sue was a very gracious host.

Moongalbah Shined
The rental process was very quick and easy. The owner was uber responsive and I could sense early on that our visit was going to be a success; and it was. From the owner’s personal touches (she left a Reserved Sign with my wife’s and my name on the master suite, she had written identification of each light switch, gift baskets and directions on how to operate various items like cable tv, electric awning, etc.) to the setting and family friendly layout of the home, Moongalbah Shines!
Sue’s home was definitely designed with the purpose of making a family retreat where special memories can be created that will last a lifetime! With our daughter at the University of the South, only 3 miles away, we were able to enjoy time with her, attend her sport’s game and tour the campus with our guests, along with some campus socialization, and then be back to Moongalbah for a peaceful, secluded night’s rest. We definitely hope to stay here again! Thank you Sue for a marvelous, memory-filled long weekend!! -Kirk

My bridal party and I had so much fun staying here the weekend of my wedding! The house is very spacious, so everyone had plenty of room to spread out and get ready. The host was so hospitable and even had a snack basket available for us upon arrival! Looking forward to visiting again someday!
