Nice house but lacking air in bedrooms or ventilation in bathrooms. Nice floor plan.

The neighborhood and lake access is wonderful. Kitchen well supplied with plenty of cookware. Furnishings are old and mixed mash, handles come off dressers, and carpet needs thorough cleaning. Plenty of towels but shower curtain liners need replacing. Microwave started sparking and contacted owner but received no reply. Access to a dock was what made the trip. Great neighborhood for walking and felt very safe.

It was like a home away from home. Very peaceful. We enjoyed our stay very much.

Nice property with a beautiful view, perhaps a little dated. We enjoyed our stay however there were a few small issues, one being that there was not a automatic drip coffee maker available as listed, only a Keurig with a missing cover for the water tank. Had we of known we would have bought a coffee maker prior to check-in as we stopped at Ingles on the way. My husband had to go back first thing in the morning to buy a coffee maker. That being said, we enjoyed the property and even saw an otter down by the dock.

This is a great getaway location. House is fully equipped and comfortable. Views of the lake are perfect. Very peaceful. We definitely want to come back and Would highly recommend to others.

We very much enjoyed our stay. So relaxing on the deck with perfect fall color view and smooth as glass lake. House was comfortable and it is always a special extra treat that we can take our dog along with us. We made some great meals and enjoyed walking the trail. Owner communication was excellent. We will be back!

Older home but perfect for a family get away to the lake in the mountains. The view from the deck and dock are priceless. If you want a cabin on the lake feel this is it. Don't tell anyone! We will book again.

This property is located right on the lake with fantastic views of the mountains all around. The cabin is cozy, clean and well stocked. We felt very comfortable here and loved swimming and boating on the lake. If you like nature, there is lots to see and do in the area. We took several scenic drives and three wonderful hikes. We were looking for a place to get away from it all due to COVID-19 and this was the perfect getaway.

We have stayed at the Han House several summers. Always clean and comfortable. We enjoy the deck and dock so much. Lake Santeetlah to s beautiful!

This is the family lake house everyone wish they had in their family. It felt like going to Nana's house and we loved every minute of it. The lake and view are unparalleled and the accommodations comfortable. Having Wifi was a bonus and even better was having a cell phone signal! For those with small kids or old dogs, we did have one issue with the deck--our older dog fell from the deck while sleeping as there is no railing under the bench that surrounds it. It's just something to be aware of. We would love to return!

The cottage was wonderful for our family. The huge living room and large kitchen made our vacation relaxed with plenty of room for everyone. The canoe and swimming in the lake was marvelous. We will be back.

Great quiet location most of the time ... except July 3 - 4, to be expected.

The house was true to the description and very comfortable. Windows graced the length of the spacious great room, yielding a clear view of the lake and ample light.The spacious deck and dock were the keynotes to this rental, affording Southern views , a lovely swimming cove, and access to the main body of the lake. Communication with the rental agent was smooth and timely. The driveway was very manageable (not severely sloped as some houses are on Lake Santeetlah.) This was our second time renting a home in this community, and we would return to this house again.

We enjoyed a week of quiet beautiful tranquility on the nicest lake in the Southeast. The cabin is clean and nothing fancy. Boat dock is a plus. We rented a boat from Santeetlah Marina a half mile away. Good fishing also on the lake and nearby creeks. We’ll be back… please keep this a secret!

If you are searching for that perfect cabin in the mountains with spectacular lakeside views, check out the Han Lakeside Cottage located on pristine Santeetlah Lake. Our family of 3 rented this property for a week and to be honest, we could have stayed here forever. Not only is this lakeside cottage located on Thunder Island, it sits in its own cove, away from constant jet ski and boat traffic. I’m not saying there is no traffic, but we have been returning to Santeetlah Lake for over 8 years now and have found this cottage to be the most peaceful and quiet location of all the cabins and bungalows we’ve stayed at. At this cabin you will not have a need for anything in the kitchen to cook and serve with. Everything is provided for you. Everything is provided for you for your convenience, we cooked breakfast/lunch/dinner daily as in the comfort of our own home. Speaking of comfort, this cottage provided comfort and cleanliness to our satisfaction. We would like to thank Russell for going above and beyond making our trip happen. Stellar communication throughout our visit. Seriously awesome renters. A bonus to the cottage location is the super easy drive in and out into the driveway. Cross a bridge onto the island and pull right up to cottage, easy peasy. Wait till you sit on the porch and take in the views, truly a hidden gem in paradise!

Loved our stay at this spacious home on the lake with easy to use dock and wonderful porch views. House is clean and well stocked kitchen, games, CD player and TV (limited, but who cares at the lake?). Best part was being able to enjoy our vacation with our dog as well. Perfect week! Had everything we needed and more. Kitchen well stocked. Extra water toys and life jackets. Not a fancy place but perfect to relax and unwind. The views from the deck and house are unbelievable and the water is crystal clear!

The house we rented had a beautiful of the lake and mountains. We felt it needs some updating. Toilets and TV did not work well. Kitchen was fine and well stocked. Loved the view and peace and quiet.

My husband and I chose this spot to gather with our grown son, his wife, and our two-year-old grandson. We enjoy swimming, fishing, paddleboarding, canoeing, walking, birdwatching, and hiking. This rental has a wonderful view of the lake and the mountains in the distance and the forest across the lake. We were treated to a full moon rising over the lake waters all week. The cabin has a very nice, open floor plan with a large living space and windows looking out at the lake. The dining table is sturdy and large--a perfect place to gather with family for a meal. The deck is a lovely place to sit and listen to the quiet--oh, and to the hummingbirds that argue over nectar rights at the feeder. I swam at least twice every day, my husband caught a beautiful bass his first day tossing a line into the cove, and my son spent all week fishing from a canoe all around the lake. The cabin is very simple--not fancy. It's very accommodating, providing for all our basic needs. The beds were comfortable enough, the showers and bath work well, and the kitchen was spacious and had most of what we needed to prepare all our meals in house. There are plenty of games and two very good TVs. We all left feeling restored and refreshed.

My husband & I rented this for ourselves, 3 kids, 1 son in law, & 2 grandsons. Perfection = Fantastic Memories. Canoeing with the littles, to renting a boat and cruising the lake, to our oldest grandson catching his first fish 🎣�. Nights spent looking at fireflies, to late night games with all the adults 😍� the mommy and daddy got to whitewater raft while our other 2 kids zip lined the Nantahala Gorge while GraNa & Pop spent the day with the littles in Bryson City, seeing the trains and eating ice cream 🍦�. Took the family to Unto These Hills and everyone enjoyed it. Can’t wait to do it again! ❤️💙�💖�💝�🖤�💙�💚�

Not the fanciest place, but we spent most of our time outside on the deck, dock and boat. Inside seating very comfortable. Liked the open floor plan. Plenty of room. Planning a return trip.

A great location, and gorgeous area. Thar Lake was absolutely perfect for canoeing and swimming.

My husband, our dogs and I love visiting the area. The house was a perfect base for us to return after hiking, paddling and boating. The kitchen is well appointed and it was very easy to make meals. The location was great; we loved being on the island. It was relatively easy to get down to the dock unlike some other homes. The parking situation could not be any better; it was very easy to get in and out and plenty of room. And, of course the view from the room is beautiful. We would definitely consider staying here again!
