The sunset views from the deck were amazing! We lucked out with great 80* plus weather! I will definitely be back! The only drawback was the water pressure was not strong!

Watching the sun rise on the water from the front patio, and then getting to see the sun set on the water from the back deck is simply amazing. I see that they have made some changes to the downstairs bedroom that really surprised me and it looks really good. The neighbors are very friendly also. Looking to make year number 5!!

It was nice to go for a walk in a kayak down to the waters of the State ark, where one can see many birds.
There are three rooms, which is nice for a large family. One of the rooms is in the basement.
One thing that could be better is if the kitchen cabinets' doors were not so sticky... These cabinet doors require a thorough cleaning, or even replacement.
Otherwise, the house is well kept and nice.

Our Stay in Gavelston was awesome and the people at wolverton Resort rentals were awesome to deal with... Everything thing was as it was advertised with no hiccups or suprises... The sunswept bay property was very clean and ready when we arrived, and is a beautiful property... Great access to fishing and the beach... Will be headed back hopefully in October...

Location was prime for kayak fishing, and we enjoyed the morning coffee on the deck.

this property is not like the pictures listed. I arrived to find bo toilet tissue, trash bags, no broom, no dish soap, patio furniture cushions piled on dining table. Grill was full of old wet charcoal, unusable, the pool is NOT available this time of year, and its listed as an amenity. The air conditioner was programmed where we could not change the temperature and it stayed 80 or warmer at all times especially at night we sweated miserably. The house next door was being painted and remodeled and the worker was there the first night until after 1 am. When we left Sunday morning I discovered paint overspray on my Jeep. The management company was texting me at 10 am to see why I was still there because the housekeepers were already there. For two nights I paid almost $1,000 and I feel ROBBED, almost to the point of contacting an attorney, I have pics of all issues. NEVER AGAIN

This getaway was awesome! Will be booking again!!!

After a long day, we arrived at the property ready to start cooking dinner in the BBQ and use the facilities outside the house. It was plain disgusting. The BBQ had a dirty plate inside and you could see the layers and layers of used charcoal meaning that it had not been clean in a long time. All tables were so dirty that you could not see through the mirror in one of them and there was trash on the floor, including rice, chips, orange peels, a really old bag of candy, etc. Given the current risk of viral infection, we decided to not use anything outside and cook inside the house and call it a night because we were exhausted. We made sure to clean utensils that some still had rests of food in them, as well as the pots that we had to use even for pancakes because there were no pans in the property. The next morning, December 31st, I sent two emails including photos as examples of our findings and left a voicemail asking for help with this issue. I received no answer until the 2nd of January, the day of check out. The company, Galveston resorts and rentals/ Wolverton Resorts indicated to us that during those days they were closed, which we were never told and that we should have called the emergency number or other numbers, and that there would have been nothing that they could have done for us because the cleaning company was closed. An emergency number is for emergencies such as plumbing, fire or other similar issues and it is not the responsibility of the customer to assess the cleaningness of a property during a pandemic before the client arrives or to figure out just a specific phone number while customers are staying at your property. If you are going to be closed, make sure to inform that to your clients and provide detail instructions as to what to do or simply don't make business during those days, as it is hard work payed money that had to be use to take our family on vacation. They then, at 10 am the day of check out, and hour before having to give back the keys, offered for us to stay one more night for free. We had already packed our things, and with a family of five that is no easy task. I informed them that we could not stay and to offer us another form of compensation. After days of asking for a resolution with no avail, they said that they would give us half of the cleaning fee which was nothing but I accepted. Today is the 13th of January, not even that was returned. Deeply saddened to have lost our hard earned money.

Nice bay house with Great crabbing! Very good design for 2 couples. We did not need or use the downstairs bedroom, but access to a downstairs bathroom was convenient.

check in was very easy and the people that work there are very nice. One of the recent reviews mentioned bed bugs in this house. They were none AT ALL! The house was big enough to accommodate 5 adults. There is another room on the water level that's clean and have two beds. Both decks have a beautiful view of the canal and surprisingly we had no issues at all with mosquitos. That could have been due to it being windy with a storm coming through. All in all we were very satisfied with this property and would definitely stay here again!

Mosquitoes bad can’t enjoy the outside!

We really enjoyed this little oasis. Two bedrooms that are basically the same on either side of the kitchen is a great layout when you have couples going or parents and kiddos. Two full bathrooms upstairs was great after the beach! The room downstairs isn’t updated but the ac is awesome and the beds were pretty comfy :) the water was phenomenal. We lost power (a huge random morning storm that turned into a beautiful dAy) but during that time the managers were super communicative and evening offered space in their refrigerator for our things.managment was easy and nice. BRING OFF. LIKE OMG BRING A CAN A PERSON. If it rains you will have mosquitos. It’s the bay after all. We didn’t have any until the random storm and then it was very overwhelming. But. Citranella candle and off made it okay. Will definitely rent here again!

The last night we were there everyone had been getting bit and we realized every single Room had bed bugs.

The only downside is not having a washer/dryer. Would be great if rental company provided extra towels during the week. We would definitely stay here again!
