This house had 5 bedrooms and each had its own bath. That's a great feature. House stocked with everything we could have wanted and needed. Many extras that most rentals don't include. Very short walk to the beach. Would recommend this house to anyone.

My family of five and a friend’s family of four stayed for a week. The house was very spacious and we all had our own personal space. Loved that all of the bedrooms had a bathroom. The proximity to the beach was amazing. Just a quick walk with no busy streets. Perfect for the little ones (and parents lugging wagons ). The house also had everything we needed. Things that were forgotten were already at the house. Communication with the owner was easy. We would love to stay again sometime!

It was very convenient and just right for our family

Our group of 12 adults and 2 youth found Leeward more than met our needs. Large enough that we could spread out, also space for us to gather together. The short walk to the beach without having to navigate road traffic was a blessing. A rarity, the kitchen was well appointed with pots/pans and dinnerware sufficient for a larger group.
Kure/Carolina has been our choice for more than 40 years, and Leeward helped continue that tradition.

The house was located perfectly for our large group and small kids since we didn’t have to cross any roads and we’re right by the ocean! You could hear it from the deck at night and see it during the day. My only small complaint was the downstairs bed, it was hard as a rock. Still didn’t stop us from enjoying the place and having the best time!! Property manager was easy to contact and super nice and helpful. We will be back again!!

We had such an easy walk to the beach or to Granny's for breakfast, ice cream shop, or a tiki bar. Or jump in the car and in a mile you can be in the center of restaurants, rides, shops. Traffic wasn't so bad and everyone is friendly. The house is roomy so everyone can spread out.

We had a wonderful stay at this property. The rooms and bathroom set up is perfect for families. However there were quite a few things that needed fixing and small renovations. Two of the bedroom doors did not shut (One completely off the hinge and had to stay open the whole time. Hooks in the bathroom were hanging or missing. These are the few things I remember. Also, I highly suggest looking into a new cleaning company. The floors were a little gross and we had to move the couch once and it was disgusting and had not been clean in forever. Those things need some work. Other than that we truly loved our stay and the closeness to the beach and town. We would stay here again! Thanks so much!

Needs to be more clean floors, bathrooms, kitchen actually all over the house. We found smell and pets hair in the towels.Bathroom Faucets needs to fix.

Nice property and roomy. Could use some up grades. Pillows could have been washed, Stains on them. Pull out coach had no sheets and very uncomfortable. Cleaning crew could have done a better job, floor were still sandy and bottom door sill moves, because you can slip. Like I said, nice property close to beach and roomy for a big party just needs some upgrades.

Third year in a row staying here
Noticed some renovations had been done. It looks like some more cosmetic work still needs to be done. But the house was clean and our family group of 11 (6 adults and 5 kids) really enjoy staying at this house and asked me to book again next year. Location to beach is excellent because we don't have to cross the road. Plenty of space for us all. Kitchen well equipped. Wish there were some portable cots, so we didn't have to bring air mattress for one kid. Kids do not want to share beds. Overall we had an awesome vacation in this house.

Great location!
So nice not to have any streets to cross to get to the beach, especially with little kids! Everyone had their own bathroom, the house was clean, and the host responded quickly to any issues! Convenient laundry, nice porch with seating, and we loved having the hot/cold shower downstairs! We hope we can come back again!

Amazing Vacation

Super Close to the Beach!
If you love heading to the beach and then being able to run back and forth throughout the day/night when you need to, you are literally <50 yards away with no busy streets to navigate. You can see the house from your chair on the beach! Sunrises were awesome. Yoga on the beach just steps away as well.
Having a bathroom for each bedroom was great + a half bath.
Note: Because the main drag through town is just on the other side (west side) of the home, those with youngsters will need to keep them close, just from a traffic standpoint. Otherwise, once you cross the street, you then have fairly quiet streets available for morning walks and the like (if not on the beach).

Great vacation home
We had another house booked, but they sold it, so we had to find another house which isn't easy for 11 people and doesn't cost us a fortune. We found this house and took a chance since there were not a lot of properties in our price range available. We all really liked this house. The little walk to the beach access was very manageable with children and all the toys they need for the sand. Kitchen and pantry were very well stocked. Large choice of puzzles and games for children. Nice surprise was the amount of chairs and toys in the beach storage closet. Next time we will not have to bring as much. Only complaint was that the front stairway and 1/2 bath had a mildew smell. Everyone said they would like to stay here next year too

Great House!
Great location and the house was a great size for our group of 10! Every room with a bathroom provided great convenience and we didn’t know there was an outdoor shower until we got there. It had everything we needed for our stay.

Nice place
The only negative thing with this property is the sliding glass door to the porch. It is EXTREMELY difficult to open/close. I suffered an AC sprain from it.

Close to beach. Adjoining bathrooms for all bedrooms. Easy and close beach access. Short walk to the boardwalk! Not fancy but had all we needed for our group
of 12.
Owners were responsive to our needs and were accomadating with a few minor issues that arose during our stay.
Kitchen well stocked. Beds comfy. Grill, outdoor porch.

Cozy home
The wifi was slow and the kids kept getting kicked off Netflix. There was only 1 TV that we could watch television on. There was no yard for outdoor activities. House was nice sized. Nice having a bathroom in every bedroom. Trash and recycle procedures were extremely confusing. Not enough garbage cans for a family that is starting a full week, especially when cans are full before you arrive. Management and maintenance team was on top of things a d that's always appreciated.

Family Vacation
This was by far one of the best places we have had in awhile. The house is perfect and very spacious and welcoming. We are already planning next year. The walk to the beach is perfect.

Great location!
Liked the house very much. Next to beach entrance and you could see ocean from the deck. We were a family of only 4 so there was plenty of room, however if you were a lot more people the living room might be small. Also if you need wifi it was very slow, worked but my husband was trying to do some work and said it was slow. We have teenagers so the road next to the house was the main road leading up and down the island was great for us, but if you have little kids you need to be careful the car go fast. The house had extra item like laundry detergent, coffee and some of the basic like paper towels and toilet paper so the was very nice. The location was great for us. We had a dog with us and it was very easy to cross the street and walk him in the quiet neighborhood next to us. This was the quieter part of the island and you could walk to the tiki bar two house way, very good food and drinks. Would stay here again!

Perfect week at a perfect house
We were lucky to find Leeward Cottage after waiting so long to book a house for our summer vacation. The location is perfect, very short walk to the beach and right at a mile south of the boardwalk.

Wonderful place for a large family!
Wonderful stay, house was great. Bathroom for every bedroom was great. Stocked great for forgotten items. Right at the beach, never had to cross the street. Will definitely stay again.

Leeward is always perfect
This was my third time to rent Leeward for a week, and as with previous visits everything was outstanding. They have added some flat panel TV's with Roku in the bedrooms. We cooked breakfast every morning and the kitchen is well stocked with everything we needed. The weather was great, so we used the beach (300 feet away) more than usual, the close proximately was great. Absolutely the best value on Carolina Beach and it couldn't be easier to work with the owners/leasing company. Highly recommended.

Perfect Place!!
This house is perfect ! The location is so convenient to the beach and some awesome restaurants and the Tiki Bar! It is very well supplied with all that you need and is clean and neat. We loved the convenience of having a restroom in each bedroom. When we visit Carolina Beach again, we will schedule our vacation around the availability of this house!
