Lovely spacious home, excellent property management and wonderful hosts. Can walk to the beach, fun seaside restaurants, highly recommend.

The house was beautiful, spacious and perfect for our family of 5, exactly as pictured. It is located in a gated community, on the hillside of the Main Street. Beach is a 10 minute walk across the Main Street. House was equipped with everything we needed-beach chairs, towels. local grocery is also a short walk. Playa Hermosa is a nice quiet town, with nice selection of restaurants. Beach is not very crowded and we always found a spot along the tree line for shade. Definitely rent a car for day trips and driving to Playa de Coco (more restaurants, beach) which is 15 minutes away. It’s easy to message hosts through VRBO APP. The hosts, Crystal and Scott were helpful prior to our arrival with any questions, and suggestions. Definitely contact Michael from Sealife Papagayo for coordinating any excurisions. Michael is wonderful and went over and above with our tours excursions! Lovely, lovely home and country. Will definitely go back!! Pura Vida

The property has an amazing view from the covered porch with enough lounge chairs and covered seating for our group 6 adults. Enough comfortable beds for everyone on trip. Kitchen was stocked with everything needed . Plenty of bathrooms and loved the 2 outdoor showers. They were nice when we finished with beach or excursions to be able to rinse off before going inside. Beach chairs, cooler, towels were all provided. It was “ turn key” as all we had to do was enter Casa Manana and we were set for the entire week. Not dissatisfied with anything as property was described and pictures were perfect. Plenty of places to eat in Hermosa and also just a short drive to Coco to eat as well. Owners were very quick to answer any questions we had prior to trip. Also, if you plan to book any excursions, you have to call Miguel with Sealife Papagayo. He is the “BEST”. We had 3 excursions and he was like a private guide on all 3. He will do everything to make your trip to CR the best ever. Book now with the house and Sealife papagayo on their Facebook page. We had an awesome vacation So much to do one week was not enough. We will be back for sure. Crystal was excellent to deal with and gave great recommendations for things to do and see. The house and pool were just as the pictures and better. The guards and all the local people are so friendly. Can’t wait to return.

Our stay at the property was great. The set up of the home was perfect for our group (adults, teens, and littles). The home was very comfortable and had a nice homey vibe to it. The location was ideal, close to everything and the airport. Communication with property management was easy and they were very efficient with any needs we had. If your looking for a relaxed, clean, comfortable space for your group- this is your home.

Traveled with two families (8 people). We did not rent a car and regretted that decision. Definitely a requirement I would say. Beautiful home and pool area. Loved using the outdoor kitchen to grill and grab a cold drink!

We were travelling with another couples and this property was perfect. Big bedrooms, great washrooms, large living quarters, spectacular outdoor space and tons of room for all. Property is located in Playa Hermosa, a small friendly Costa Rican town where you can walk everywhere. There is a great beach near by, some fabulous restaurants, a half decent sized grocery store and a number of options to explore beyond Hermosa. We certainly recommend this property and will consider booking this place again in the future. Casa Manana was just as great as all the photos...even better. This place was perfect for our birthday, retirement and all -around vacation celebrations. Pool, spa and outdoor kitchen areas were perfect for hanging out all day! Gus, the house manager, met us upon arrival to make sure we had all we needed. Groceries in the fridge, beverages were ready for our celebration. Had one little sink leak...but Gus had repair team there within 15 minutes! Great communication throughout our visit. Any questions we had were answered within minutes. Ian was most helpful prior to our arrival in making arrangements airport pickup, grocery delivery, golf cart rental and required Covid tests etc. One of our highlights was an excursion we took with Michael at SeaLife Papagayo. Spent the day in the Blue River area (2 hr drive). Waterfalls, hot springs, mud spa, great lunch, and just an all around great day. He was very patient and attentive! I highly recommend using him for your adventures! He also arranged a souvenir shopping trip and dinner at Claudio y Gloria in Coco. He was also able to recommend a great pizza delivery place for a lazy night at home! Had some good dining experiences locally at Aquasport, Pescado Loco, Robertos, and El Velero...all right on the beach. We were able to do everything we'd hoped to do on our visit and lots we didn't even know we wanted to do! One of the favorites was having coffee poolside and listening to the Howler monkeys at moon set...just before sunrise. We were able to watch them several times right in the neighborhood. Iguanas visited us at the pool a couple of times. Weather couldn't have been better. Thanks Scott and Crystal for sharing your magnificent paradise!

We stayed at Casa Manana for two weeks over Christmas and New Years. The communication with Crystal prior to our trip was excellent, even provided recommendation for Covid test prior to our trip back to Canada. Casa Manana is a beautiful home in a quiet community and very well appointed to everything you need. The morning birds singing, and we even got to enjoy the howler monkeys coming to visit 2 days during our stay. This is our second stay in Playa Hermosa and we definitely preferred being on the hill side with a view and not being part of a resort like Villa Sol, where we stayed prior (and only across the road). Casa Manana had everything we needed for 8 of us to stay and have the comforts of home! We traveled with our adult children and senior parents, everyone was comfortable inside and out, we had enough shade and sun for everyone to be outside all day long, playing cards, swimming in the pool and relaxing drink in the whirlpool in the evening! The kitchen had everything we needed and awesome grill area was a great addition for preparing our own meals! A few tips we learned about from being in the area twice that made our stay that much more enjoyable, always rent a car well in advance to keep the price down, we rented a golf cart as well which allowed everyone the ability to drive down to the beach, run and get supplies from the local grocery store, etc. (with age restrictions on car rentals, the golf cart made it that seniors and young adults had bit of independence), we ordered groceries to be delivered for when we arrived. After a long day of traveling it was nice to have it all organized and delivered upon our arrival. Gus, the property manager, was always available for our questions. I recommend reaching out the minute you have questions as his reply is fast but repairs take until the next day if they aren’t urgent. Lastly, I can’t say enough about the people in Costa Rica, they are the kindest people we’ve ever had the pleasure of dealing with. Our son got very sick during our stay, we reached out to the Covid testing nurse for help on treatment/urgent clinics, within 20 minutes we had doctor schedule to come to Casa Manana from Liberia. The doctor did 2 house calls, ran 2 sets of blood work and even met us for an ultrasound in Liberia to help with the language barrier. Our plans had to change during our vacation, but a warm staycation in Costa Rica during a Canadian winter is just what the doctor ordered.

Beautiful home in playa Hermosa. The home was absolutely beautiful and had plenty of space for all our family. The kids enjoyed the pool with the great views while adults enjoyed the patio areas and bbq. Home owners were great throughout the process and answered all our questions quickly. Thank you Crystal and Scott for allowing us to stay in your home. We look forward to coming back!

We had the best week at Casa Manana! It’s close to everything and off a quiet, family-friendly beach with beautiful sunsets. The views are gorgeous and the pool/spa are the best way to end the day! I can’t imagine a better property or location for our two families to reunite. Pura vida!

We had a wonderful vacation at Casa Mañana, thank you Crystal and Scott! Everything worked well - from communications with the owners, local property manager, and on-site security staff. The home is beautiful and exactly as represented on VRBO. Lovely light throughout the day, comfortable and clean accommodations, well-appointed kitchen and a great pool and patio area where we spent most of our time! Also, it was an easy walk into Hermosa and the beach, with plenty of iguanas to see along the way. Highly recommend.

We checked into this property on Sunday when the owner’s more then accommodated our late request (Friday evening). On our way to the property we were going over the latest review and were a little taken back and wondered if this place would work. Wow, were we surprised at the inaccurate review we read. Not only were the owner or manager extremely helpful and accommodating but running the jacuzzi was as easy as one email and things were up and running. The house was in immaculate condition with plenty of room for adults and 11 year olds to enjoy. The views were great and Playa Hermosa has a couple great restaurants within walking distance (we loved Gingers for dinner and Roberto’s for breakfast). The beach is a short walk where you will find the friendliest of people. At the end of a long day it was great to come back to Casa Manana and relax in the pool and jacuzzi. Thanks so much for accommodating us as this truly was a great place to stay and the first time everything was exactly as advertised!

We had a terrific time in Playa Hermosa and the house is very impressive and clean. Our trip overall was very enjoyable, with the exception of the hot tub, which I will detail below. The people in Playa Hermosa and Playa del Coco were very nice and helpful, even with the slight language barrier. We actually spent more time in Coco because there is more to do there.What wasn't accurate was the listing (which was actually changed during our trip) for this house. When we paid to rent the house, it was listed as having a hot tub, both in the narrative description and in the listed amenities. Additionally, at least nine of the photos in the property listing show the hot tub, so it is clearly a feature for the home. Moreover, this was a significant factor for our family because my teenage boys were very specific that they wanted to hang out in the hot tub at night, which was the deciding factor in renting this property. Unfortunately, upon our arrival, we discovered that the jets for the tub were not working and the water was not heated. I emailed the owners about this situation and I was told, "Sorry for the delay, you should just have to push the button on the hot tub for it to bubble and circulate. There is no heat " The next morning I noticed a 100 gallon propane tank behind the pool house, so I emailed the owners about this and received the following written response, "Sorry I guess I should have chosen my words more carefully. The hot tub heat is turned off. Reason being is that there is a few steps to turn on the heat and then it needs to be turned off after each use. We had to lock the pool maintenance shed due to the fact that renters where also touching the pool program system and messing it up on top of not properly turning the heat to the hot tub off. I’m really sorry about that. I hope that doesn’t put to much of downer into your holiday." We were given no prior notice of this before our arrival, nor were we given a partial refund, or even an opportunity to pay extra to have the heater for the tub turned on. It was extremely disappointing to all of us, and yes, it was a "downer." The jets for the hot tub were broken, so they never worked during our stay either. My wife described the tub best, it's the largest bird bath in CR. I also note that the waterfall feature, mentioned as a feature now, only runs from 7 a.m. to noon, because the filtration system runs on a timer. I hope this review is not too much of a downer.

Great mini vacation (3 nights) with the kids and grandkids. Grandkids spent hours in the pool. The house was well stocked with basic things that we needed to cook our meals. My son loved the outdoor BBQ too. Very comfortable and relaxing spot. Nice gated community with the house up the hill so we did not hear traffic. I would highly recommend renting this house.

Casa Manana is everything you see on line and more the owner Crystal answered all my emails very quickly and provided all the information needed. There were 6 of us family members staying there and were very comfortable. There is so much to do and see around the area and I highly recommend Casa Manana as your main stay Thank you Crystal your the best Pam and Steve

Lovely home with great amenities, used the outdoor kitchen and lanai daily. The weather was spectacular (though it really is hot in CR) and we so enjoyed the pool and hot tub. The gated community is very safe and clean and the security staff were very pleasant and helpful( especially considering we accidentally set off the alarm 2x). The bedrooms and bathrooms are large, clean and nicely decorated. The kitchen has the all you need to cook your meals. The view from the living area is very pretty. We would definitely come back and recommend this property - 5 stars for sure.

When we arrived, Marcia had everything in place, showed us around the home and was very accommodating during our stay. The home was tastefully updated and was perfect for our needs. Beautiful views & very relaxing. Ease of access from the airport, beautiful scenery and highly recommended as a perfect getaway for small to large groups.

We had a wonderful stay at Casa Manana. We traveled with our two small children ages 6 and 4. They used the pool daily! The property manager Marcia went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. We decided to stay a few nights in Playa Hermosa on our way to Arenal, WOW we did not regret this one a bit. Casa Manana is a very well appointed home on the hill in the gated community of Palo Alto. Beautiful ocean view peaks through the lush green trees from the pool patio. The whole home has been renovated and the pictures on the site sure don’t do it justice. We spent most of our time on the patio lounging around the pool and sitting in the new jacuzzi. The new Rancho with Built in BBQ and fridge was a nice touch to the outdoor living area. Inside the home we found everything we needed totake to the beach, Including towels, coolers, beach chairs. The kitchen is well appointed with everything we needed. All 4 bedrooms are decorated with beautiful wood beds. There are great restaurants within walking distance to the house. The beach we found to be about a 7-10 min walk from the house and what a beautiful beach!! I would recommend this house to anyone and will definitely be coming back for a longer stay

We recently traveled to Costa Rica with our three young boys in March. Casa Mañana was a very comfortable and well appointed home for our family. Our boys are real nature lovers and the abundance of beautiful iguanas around the property were the delight of our kids! The howler monkeys that could be heard in the surrounding trees was very exciting as well. We visited in March which is a pretty warm time in Costa Rica, but the lovely and perfectly warm pool provided days of fun and relief from the hot afternoons. And the view of the ocean from the pool and outdoor patio was wonderful too! Grethel, the property manager, was very kind a helpful with lots of information about the town.

We planned this family vacation to celebrate several milestones, we were not disappointed at all! The house was fantastic, we especially loved the large, private pool! House was very clean, kitchen well supplied with everything we needed. The maid was awesome and Grethel was very accommodating and helpful! We could not have asked for this house to be better equipped and any more comfortable to move into, for our family vacation. Plenty of linens and the kitchen had every implement you could desire in a rental. The pool was continually entertaining for the children as well as the adults. The water overlook was lovely, with exceptional sunset views. Very convenient to Playa Coco for fishing or shopping etc, plus other close beaches to just sit back and relax at. We took in many adventures from zip lining, hot springs, horse riding, mud bath, fishing, beach time, hiking, folk art, coffee, howler monkeys and much more fun stuff, within an easy drive. A very easy commute from the Liberia airport. Gretel the local representative was very accommodating and checked on us regularly. Dirk our host was quick to answer any questions or concerns we had. Thanks to them both. I don't give 5 Stars too often...but this place earned it.

We just recently returned from a week long stay at Casa Manana and could not be more happy with our decision to stay here. The house was well kept, and there was plenty of room for 5 of us. The ocean view was great while relaxing by the pool which was somehow the perfect temperature both day and night. The king sized bed was so comfortable after a long day of waterfalls, ziplining, and snorkeling. The beach is a very short drive (could easily be walked) and was one of the most beautiful and peaceful beaches that I've been to. Loved everything about our stay, only wish we could have stayed longer. There is so much to see and do in the area or you could easily spend every day at the beautiful beach or by the pool!

As soon as I booked the house Dirk sent me an e-mail and his phone number, he was great to deal with and an excellent communicator, he also recommended a few near by places to eat and to visit. We stayed a week in casa manana and we enjoyed every minute of our stay, from the beginning arriving to the house, which is located in a gated community with a guard 24-7, so you feel the most secure all the time. The house has everything you will required from linens, towels to seasonings in the kitchen so it made it so easy to do a home cook meal or if you prefer walk down for a couple of blocks and find a few restaurants. Also you have a basketball and tennis court inside the community. Needless to say we had the most amazing time in this beautiful house, we enjoyed the pool as well as all the space and we never felt cramped for a group of 10. Our family of four recently stayed at Casa Manana during our first visit to Costa Rica. We were thrilled with the property and it was exactly as described on VRBO. Our initial conversations with the owner Dirk were very reassuring and his advice on travelling to the country was so helpful. The house was clean and had plenty of linens and towels. The location was convenient to many activities, as we had rented a car and loved to explore. However, one could choose not to venture far from Casa Manana and be very content. We had a beautiful sunset every evening and we enjoyed the sun coming up early each day as the home has plenty of windows to enjoy the view. I can't say enough about the experience with VRBO and the owners. Dirk provided us with so much helpful information before our trip and was quick to follow up after our departure. Wonderful staff and house! Very open and roomy for our group. We especially enjoyed having Katherine from Rocio’s kitchen come to the house and cook fresh local food for us! Highly recommended! Lots of fun things to do in Hermosa and Playa Del Coco nearby. We’d love to return sometime!
