Classic Chappy Beach House, big water views, near the water
Vous avez entendu parler de l'emplacement, non? Si vous cherchez un endroit mignon et propre pour des vacances sur Chappy près de l'eau, c'est tout. Seule une poignée de maisons peuvent prétendre à des vues et à une proximité de Katama Bay comme la nôtre. Vous pouvez également voir l'océan sur la plage sud. Il suffit de descendre la cour et, avec quelques marches supplémentaires, vous êtes dans la baie. Les oiseaux vont et viennent toute la journée depuis l'étang à marée devant la maison. Coin salon ombragé, terrasse, couchers de soleil sur le vignoble. Après une journée à la plage, vous n'oublierez jamais de prendre une douche extérieure sous le soleil de l'après-midi. Ne vous inquiétez pas, les côtés sont fermés pour plus d'intimité. Les enfants l'adorent ici, si près de la plage. Il y a une possibilité infinie de jouer dans le courant de marée et l'étang et de chercher la faune. Le sable sur la plage en face est idéal pour jouer ou passer un après-midi tranquille loin de tout. Le pêcheur appréciera également la table de filet d'extérieur éclairée. La maison est parfaitement positionnée pour le soleil de l'après-midi et une brise fraîche au large de l'océan. Les couchers de soleil sont magnifiques, directement depuis la terrasse et la salle à manger. La cuisine a été rénovée en 2015. La salle de bain a été rénovée en 2017. Renseignez-vous sur l'utilisation possible des planches à pagaie et des vélos. N'hésitez pas à me contacter pour toute question, ou avant de demander une réservation. Les locataires d'été qui réservent tôt peuvent me demander de réserver une voiture Steamship !!!

Beautiful property, cottage well appointed and comfortable. Loved being able to see the water from the house. Relaxing stay and Jeff was very helpful.

The house had everything we needed. Jeff was great to work with. View is spectacular and I enjoyed having my coffee on the front deck and watching the water. We explored Chappy and took Chappy ferry to Edgartown and explored much of MV. If you are looking for peace and quiet and no crowds, Chappy is perfection. And downtown Edgartown is a short 2 min ferry ride away for restaurants and shopping. We loved our week at this home and reading and looking at pictures of the history of the home and the island. The outdoor shower is something I will miss…being able to shower while looking at Katama Bay is truly special.

We have been coming to MV for many years and have recently found a sincere love for Chappaquiddick. We stayed at Jeffrey's home for the first time and had an absolutely amazing week. The listing truly undersells the view. The first place we experienced when we arrived to Jeffrey's home was his deck. Before even going into the house, we enjoyed the expansive views of Katama Bay. When we went inside, the excitement continued to grow. The home is charming and cozy, perfect for us and our 2 girls. We also thoroughly enjoyed the outdoor shower. We had all the conveniences we needed. Jeffrey was extremely responsive when we had questions and was able to set us up with someone when we needed to procure a gas can to get gas from the big island for our dinghy as the fuel dock had not yet opened for the season. The location was also perfect - a short walk to Wasque, a quick bicycle ride to Mytoi, and another quick bicycle ride to the ferry. We were also able to get a dock slip at the marina with assistance of some welcoming and friendly locals. We absolutely loved everything about our stay and look forward to coming back for many years to come. Unfortunately, one of our girls will not be joining as we made this trip her best week ever and a victory lap on a life so well lived. She couldn't have asked for a better spot to watch sunset, relax in the sun listening to the Eastern Towhees and evening Whipporwhills, and enjoy morning walks (or bicycle scoots) to the local trails.

Great Stay!
We had a wonderful stay at Jeff's home - the view, ocean breeze, and sound of waves crashing in the distance was enough that we never wanted to leave. We loved the ability to drive literally 5 minutes down the road to Wasque Point (a beautiful ocean beach), or to walk 3 minutes down the path in front of the lawn to Katama Bay and search for snails or shells with our 4-year-old in the bathtub-like water. If you are looking for a serene, naturally beautiful place to vacation with family and never leave, this house is perfect. Jeff was very helpful and communicative. The house is well appointed and matches the listing - we found everything we needed and were charmed by the décor and books on Chappy/the Vineyard.

Great location on Chappy
We couldn’t have asked for a better location. We have young kids and rented a bunch of baby and kid supplies from MV Baby but the kayaks and crayons and kids books were enjoyed by our kids. The rooms and beds worked well for us. Easily walk to pond/bay beach or go to secluded beautiful Chappy beaches. Can’t say enough about how great Jeff was. House was well appointed, beds comfortable and everything well stocked. Thank you!!

Had a fantastic week despite the weather not cooperating at all. The house is as pictured but the view and proximity the beach as well as to wasque preserve are fantastic. Great location for runners and for peace and quiet. WiFi works well and my husband appreciated the Jaws dvds. We’ll be back!

We took full advantage of the kayak and standup paddleboard. We'll be back.

We’ve stayed on Chappy a couple of dozen times. We absolutely loved this house and location. The owners were always accessible and very helpful. Some people would insist on a second bathroom, but with the outdoor shower, it would never be a problem, even with a larger group.

Quaint with amazing view
Not spacious or luxurious but the view more than made up for it. Perfect for our family of 3 teens and dog. Jeff was a very gracious host.

Lovely cottage on Katama Bay
Sweet cottage with a beautiful view of the bay and ocean, perfect for families, surrounded by wildlife. Birds singing morning and evening. BBQ on the deck, kayak included for paddling to Chappy Beach. Looking forward to returning next June when the island is quiet.

Like Coming Home
I cannot day enough about our stay here. The house is perfect. It’s filled with antiques and books about the region. Mr. Hill was wonderfully helpful and gave us great recommendations for what to see and where to eat. The kitchen is stocked with most anything you could need to cook full meals for the family, and there is really nothing better than grilling on the deck with that view. Check in was a breeze; we got settled in right away and walked down to the beach.
It’s such a quiet, peaceful place, but just a short drive from Edgartown. The house lends itself to multiple styles of vacation. If you want to spend the days out exploring everything the Vineyard has to offer, this is a great home base. Personally, we enjoyed many days relaxing on the property, wading at the beach and reading or playing some of the games provided. It’s paradise.

The rental was as advertised, great property in a beautiful location. Jeffrey was really great to work with. He made sure we were all set prior to our arrival, even suggesting places to eat and visit. He checked in multiple times to make sure things were going well and if we needed anything. The house met all our needs. Jeffrey is a great owner/landlord. Very much appreciate his concern for our happiness and enjoyment on Chappy.

You can't afford to pass this up.
I just ended one of the bests weeks of my life at the Chappy Beach House. How do you get private, lush, beach accessible, quaint housing in Martha's Vineyard with an in-your-face water view? Go to Chappaquiddick and stay here. Getting the Chappy Ferry added to the mystique of this retreat. The house has a storybook cottage feel and the rooms are charming. To be able to walk to the water each evening and watch the sunset = priceless.

We had a wonderful stay at this lovely home. It was everything we hoped for and more. The homeowner was readily available to answer any and all questions we posed. We will be staying there again as it met all our expectations. It is a perfect place to unwind from the hubbub of everyday life. We felt so refreshed and relaxed after our stay.

Beautiful water views!
We came to this quaint cottage to celebrate our youngest child's graduation from college. We had a wonderful time exploring the island and its many beautiful views. The house was perfect for our family. The cozy kitchen had everything one needs to prepare meals with, and has a very quiet dishwasher. The owner was very responsive to any questions we had. The outdoor shower was a bonus!

Peaceful and Cozy Getaway
My husband and I loved the house, it was cozy, peaceful and quiet on that part of the island. The view is beautiful as well. Jeff was always there when we contacted him with questions, etc. and he is very nice. Our 2 small dogs came with us and the house was more than enough room for all of us, with even more rooms than we needed.
The kitchen is fully stocked with pots/pans/utensils and other paper goods. The deck was one of our favorite spots to relax as well. All in all, we loved our stay.
I highly recommend this rental if you want to enjoy Chappy and have a relaxing vacation away from the world.
