Very clean place, beautiful lake to look at , amazing host. Had absolutely zero issues staying here 10/10 would definitely stay here again

Scott was an amazing host! We needed a last minute place to stay in big lake for the last frontier pond hockey tournament and we absolutely lucked out with Scott’s gorgeous space. He made the check in process as easy as can be and treated us extraordinarily well. I would highly recommend Scott and his cabin to anyone looking for a great place to stay.

This is our second visit to Scott’s place and my family and I had an amazing time. The kids enjoyed playing in the yard and on the ice. Our previous stay was during the summer and we took full advantage of the water toys (paddle boat, canoe and kayaks). Scott was very easy to communicate with and very knowledgeable about the area and things to do. Overall great experience and we highly recommend a stay by the lake, you will not be disappointed!

Not recommended for families with children. Excessive rules and lists of additional charges complimented by stories of charges rendered by host with former guests. Uncomfortable trying to keep small children within requested rules.

We flew to Alaska from Ontario, Canada for my daughters wedding. Getting to this cabin on Big Lake was very easy and it was wonderful to be out of the city. This cabin was beautiful, quiet and had everything that we needed to enjoy our stay. Scott answered all our questions quickly and made sure we were taken care of. I would definitely recommend this property if you are looking for a beautiful place on Big Lake.

We had a fabulous time at this Big Lake property. It was clean, well-stocked with essentials, and easy to access. We enjoyed the paddle boat, grill, and dock for our boat. We liked the quiet channel where it was located as well. The host was available and communication was great. We will be back!!

We came in the winter for pond hockey that didn't happen, but were glad to find ourselves in a great location to enjoy all the Palmer/Wasilla area had to offer. We used our unexpected time to go icefishing, fattire biking along the Knik river, and we explored as far north as Talkeetna. No Northern Lights sightings this time, but otherwise, the perfect winter Alaska weekend! Thanks, Scott!

Property is hidden and very quiet in close proximity to lake and rivers/creeks. 3 hours to Denali National Park & 3 Hours to the Kenai Peninsula. An hour located outside of Anchorage. Great middle location for exploring. Several eating/restaurants & stores located within 5-20 minutes from location and easily accessible. Home was clean, atmosphere pleasant, river view was beautiful. Home owner communicated well and provided us with everything we needed, very friendly. Will definitely be back, I recommend this property over the others I have looked at. This property and home owner have the best reviews and after having stayed I understand why.

We had a great time and the property fit our needs perfectly! Most days were sunny and we enjoyed boating, kayaking and catching silver salmon on Big Lake. We invited family to join us. We grilled outside and enjoyed the patio, sunsets and views. Scott took care of us and made sure we had all we needed. It was a memorable trip!!

We loved our stay at Big Lake. Property is clean and comfortable. Scott provides everything you need to fully enjoy this lakeside home. We had access to kayaks, a paddle boat, canoe, gas grill and fire pit. Our grandchildren declared it was the best house ever and if we came back again, we had to rent this house! We highly recommend this property.

Great place to stay!! Scott was very accommodating and easy to work with. Nice quiet home with a beautiful view of the lake. Kayaking and canoes available were a big plus for our family. We would definatly stay here again!!

The location was better than I had envisioned. Initially was concerned we were going to be to far from town. However, i was so wrong! Big Lake had everything you could possibly need and still feel like you were getting away from the city! We kayaked, went out in the canoe and fished from the dock and boat. Stunning views from the house and lake. We were blessed to find this home and Scott’s willingness to share his piece of heaven! He was a great host, inquiring about our needs and bringing out the toys for us to use. He not only provided the local residents view and favorite places, but also had an Alaska guide in the home that provided us with additional adventures we had not planned on.. We have always found our fondest memories were of the people we get to meet on the journey and Scott didn't disappoint. We will be back and better prepared for all that this home and Scott had to offer!

Great location , quiet, perfect accommodations and the place is spotless.

Upon entering, the house it is clean, spacious, and modern. The beds are comfortable and bedrooms are spacious. The bathroom is nice and the stand up shower was very nice. The kitchen was stocked with plenty of basic necessities. We were entertained by a few of the board games in the pantry. The yard is big and very well maintained. We took full advantage of the canoe, kayaks, and paddle boat. The mornings are so peaceful. In the evenings we used the grill for dinner and also used the fire pit. Scott was a great host and made us feel welcome and comfortable. He made sure we had everything and answered questions. I would absolutely stay here again. There is something for all ages at this property.

This place is perfect for a weekend get away! The apartment is right on the water and there is an option to dock a boat. Scott makes kayaks, a canoe, and paddle board available as well. Super cute and cozy - would for sure stay again!

I Had my birthday weekend away at this lake house with 5 of my friends . We enjoyed the view and deck out side as well as the boats to play on the lake with. Appartment was nice and comfortable. Owner was nice and checked in on us to make sure we had everything we needed. Hes just right upstairs if you need anything. We look forward to another weekend on biglake. Thank you, Jocelyne

This property is fabulous. It is located in the canal and has very little noise from boats or jet skis. He provides a paddle boat which is great to paddle on to the end of the canal and to view the ducks in a quiet environment. The house was clean and had everything we needed. The dock is great to tie your jet skis on and easy to get to. We had 5 people and we all fit nicely and were comfortable. We would stay there again. Thanks for a great staycation.

For our first trip to Alaska, we were blessed to have stayed at Scott’s place. It ended up being a wonderful location for fly fishing for salmon, which we did on the Montana and Willow Creek waters, as well as the Little Su. We got great service and intel from the guys at Three Rivers Fly Shop in Wasilla. The location was central for several major sites - a few hours each way to Denali and to Seward. We checked out both while there. It was away from the city of Anchorage, but still in a community with groceries and gas conveniently nearby. The property was very comfortable, including a great shower and comfortable beds. Out the door of the property lies the serene waters of an inlet on the lake, with crystal clear waters. Being our stay was in August, there were Sockeye salmon passing through. Scott was a superb host, even allowing us to “camp” in the back yard one night, and to use his canoe and paddle boat to take in the breathtaking views of the lake. He also had some fresh salmon for us to cook on the grill! While this property is not a mountain property, it was a wonderful play to stay and if we end up near Wasilla again, I’m sure we’ll be giving Scott a shout! This place made for a great Alaskan vacation. Thanks Scott!
