Villa de Los Suenos est située dans le petit village de pêcheurs tranquille à environ 10 minutes au nord de Montanita. Les maisons de village sont des tableaux de belles couleurs. Plus de cinquante belles peintures murales sont dispersées dans tout le village. Plus de 75% des maisons sont peintes et, une fois achevées, elles auront plus de 90 peintures murales. Outre les superbes peintures murales, il y a une magnifique église à façade de verre. Il a été conçu pour les mariages de destination. Notre nouvelle Sunset Suite (Penhouse) est sans aucun doute l'un des, sinon la plus belle suite sur la côte équatorienne. Elle compte environ 900 pieds carrés de spath qui comprend une cuisine complète et une terrasse extérieure Jacuzzi. La vue de là-haut est vraiment incroyable. Parfait pour bronzer dans un cadre plus privé. Le Penthouse Terrasse offre les meilleures vues de toute structure sur cette magnifique plage. Vous aurez une vue panoramique de la côte du point du point La Entrada Montanita. Un tronçon de la belle plage, à 8 miles de long. En fait, il l'une des plus belles vues sur la côte équatorienne.

We absolutely enjoyed our experience at the Villa de los Suenos. The villa is beautiful and it right on the beach. All the suites face the ocean with terraces so you can enjoy the amazing view. It was wonderful to fall asleep at night to the sound of the ocean. In the morning we had delicious breakfasts with omelets made to order and delicious breads from Benito’s bakery.
We really liked walking the beach at low tide looking for seashells. After our walks the infinity pool was so refreshing. It was also nice to relax in the hot tub.
From the moment we arrived we felt so welcome. Marsha and Shell are the ultimate hosts and took our group to the nearby towns of Puerto Lopez and Montanita. One night we went to a restaurant on the beach about 30 minutes away and just as we arrived we saw a magnificent sunset. Another night they took us to Montanita for dinner. They will also arrange tours for you.
We didn’t want to leave but it was time to go. We are already making plans to return.

As you travel through the gated entrance and are met with the beautiful lush, tropical landscaped grounds and then your eyes feast on the breathtaking ocean views, you know you are in for a rare treat! All 5 spacious rooms have ocean views as far as you can see in any direction! All have a balcony where you can sit and enjoy the gentle breeze and listen to the waves crashing on the beach. Your hosts Marsha and Shell are not only kind and accommodating, but you feel like you have known them forever as soon as you meet them. You can join them and other guests for lively conversations, and if you can talk Shell into telling you stories you will laugh until your sides hurt, or if you prefer, you can do your own thing and not be bothered. You never feel you are intruding in their home as with many B&B's, as all rooms have an outside access and you can come and go as you wish. Breakfast, which is all you can eat by the way, is served until 10:30! Hallelujah! You don't have to scurry down by the crack of dawn as in so many hotels and B&B's in order to catch a table or a skimpy breakfast! Here Elena or Feliciano, delightful, friendly Ecuadorians, will serve you omelets made to order, or if you prefer just regular eggs any way you want, there is an abundance of different fresh fruits, rolls, coffee cake, waffles, granola, yogurt, the list goes on and on. An outside kitchen facing the ocean with tables, a refrigerator stocked with drinks, wine, coffee, tea, etc. is accessible all day. Marsha and Shell will take you around and show you sights, introduce you to restaurants, that I guarantee you would never find on your own, answer questions, show you where you can surf, shop for unusual gifts, fish, or if you like to play catch, their adorable brown Labrador dog "choco"( short for chocolate) will bring you his ball, actually he carries 3 in his mouth to play, whatever you want to do. They also provide hammocks on each balcony if you just want to relax and read or just watch surfers or fishing boats bobbing along the coastline. By the time we left, we felt we knew all about this coastal area and what each little town was noted for, how this oasis part of the coast is green, has few if any mosquitoes( and if there had been one within 20 miles it would have found my husband) things it would have taken us months to learn on our own. With the beautiful sunsets, peaceful setting, gracious, kind hosts, fabulous sunny warm days, you will NEVER want to leave!

What a beautiful view! My new favorite place, I want to go back soon! Excellent attention from the hosts Marsha, Shell and Choco. Totally recommended. The perfect place to disconnect from the stress of the city, nothing better than wake up with the sound of the sea waves and the birds sing.

Shell even took us on several excursion tours and of course some of the best seafood restaurants in the area.
There is something for everyone there, rather single, couples or families you can’t go wrong with your stay there.

Wow what a wonderful B&B .
We stayed in the king Ballerina room on the 3rd floor.
The king bed was the most comfortable, with all the amenities including coffee for our lazy mornings before going down to a super yummy breakfast. The breakfast was a large assortment of fruits, yummy pastries and fresh eggs cooked to order.

The Host Marsha and Shell were super friendly and open their home to us.
They invited us to join them for dinner with the other guests, which includes the film crew from House Hunters International, A lovely couple from Alberta, and a nice young Ecuadorian couple. The fish & chicken meal was awesome!
The pet dog Choco was the boss of the property super friendly (I am not a dog person) loved to go for walks on the beach and very well behaved.
This is a 5 star!

Spectacular B&B
Wow what a wonderful B&B .
We stayed in the king Ballerina room on the 3rd floor.
The king bed was the most comfortable, with all the amenities including coffee for our lazy mornings before going down to a super yummy breakfast. The breakfast was a large assortment of fruits, yummy pastries and fresh eggs cooked to order.

The Host Marsha and Shell were super friendly and open their home to us.

Perfection
Villa de Los Suenos is the perfect place to stay at the beach in Ecuador. The location is excellent. Easy access to Montanita and Olon to the South as well as the more relaxed beaches of Ayampe, Las Tunas, Puerto Lopez, Salango and Frailes to the North. Shell and Marsha are excellent hosts and we always felt a part of the family. They are very knowledgeable about the surrounding area in every apsect as well as the rest of the country, and if they don't know, they will be sure to investigate. The room was perfectly designed and I felt at home every minute. We spent most mornings enjoying the amazing fruit and omelettes prepared by their staff. The pool and hot tub are great during the day as well as the evening and are both large enough to accommodate the guests. We look forward to a return trip very soon!

Los Sueños is top notch!!
Unbelievable house and location!! Hosts go above and beyond expectations with a lot of great info on places to eat and see. Choco the "security" dog is awesome and is the only dog I've seen that brings ball and thrower at the same time. This house is a can't miss if your traveling the coast of Ecuador!!

Peaceful and beautiful home away from home
Villa de Los Suenos is an beautiful, peaceful, secure home away from home. My husband and I spent Christmas week in the casita and enjoyed every minute. Shel and Marsha are perfect hosts and Feliciano and Elena ensure that your stay is wonderful. Breakfast is not to be missed with the fresh fruit, eggs made to order and pastries. We highly recommend Villa de Los Suenos to anyone looking for peaceful nights and beautiful days!

Better than coming home.
Shell, Marsha and Choco are amazing hosts whose service and genuine friendship is far beyond expectations. Their staff, particularly Elena and Feliciano make your stay a true pleasure. An amazing picturesque setting on the Pacific. Enjoy the pool, hot tub, volleyball court and lengthy beach walks. Be lulled to sleep with the soothing sound of the surf. You won't want to leave.

Best on the Ecuador Coast
This is a fantastic place, unlike anything you will find in Ecuador. Beautiful rooms, gracious hosts, a fantastic pool, just steps away from a beautiful beach. And Choco the dog will steal your heart. Shell and Marcia are helpful and knowledgeable. We have traveled a fair amount throughout Ecuador and this is hands down the best place we have ever stayed (and the price was reasonable).

Marsha, Shel and Chaco are fabulous, knowledgeable and engaged hosts who really go above and beyond to accommodate their guests. Enjoy Elena's fantastic omelets, fresh fruit and pastries in the morning, hours of walking on the beach collecting shells and discovering tide pools, relaxing in the hot tub or pool, or going a few minutes north to explore Puerto Lopez or south to Olon & Montanita. We've met many new friends at VS, but appreciate the fact that it's 5 rooms allows for a more intimate experience than a huge resort. The property and rooms are immaculate, the location perfect and the service unparalleled. Can't wait for our next stay!

Found:Perfection
It's all in the details..every detail has been attended to at the Villa de Los Suenos. From the magnified makeup mirror to the perfectly cooked morning omelets. The pool at perfect temperature, (the infinity pool appears to be part of the sea). The huge bedroom windows placed for crossbreezes and panoramic ocean views. The staff is not just kind, but also of joyous temperament who want so much to have you satisfied, to make sure you have everything you want or need. Always full bottled water, fresh ground coffee, the best beds in all Ecuador, fluffy white towels, a walkin shower not to be believed, huge terrace with table chairs and a big comfortable hammock! Great lighting and the most congenial hosts you'll meet. Full of information on all things local and so happy to point you in the right direction to match your interests. The sounds and smell of the sea are right there and lead to deep relaxation ...I was regretting leaving this "dream" of a get-a-way the day before my departure and even somehow forgot to load my luggage into the van upon departure...the ever efficient got it to me before my final transport...no enforced extra night...sigh...I'm checking my calandar for my next visit now...our hosts, Shel and Marsha are now old friends. If you are planning a visit to Coastal Ecuador, this Bed and Breakfast resort is everyone's perfect choice. From families to singles to lovers, this is the perfect spot! There are all these reasons and more, that this property was named one of the top five resorts in South America!

My oh my! Not just a place to stay, but an "experience"!
Not enough stars to rate Villa de los Suenos high enough! This is not just a place to rest your head at night, but an experience in and of itself. From the daily bkst included with your room to the local pastries delivered each morning to the conversations with your hosts MarShell (their Brangelina name!) to Choco the Rent A Dog to the view to popcorn night to anniversary & birthday cakes....the list goes on and on!
Perfectly situated almost equal distance between 2 main tourist towns of Montanita and Puerto Lopez and a local bus stop literally right outside your door. Providing you quick and easy access to anything and everything you could want to do as you explore up and down the coast.
I have a much more detailed review listed on tripadvisor, but vrbo limits the # of words I can utilize.
As we pulled away from Villa de los Suenos early this morning I shed a few tears knowing what we were leaving beyond, but thrilled with the memories we were taking home with us!

A dream come true
Villa de Los Suenos was a dream come true for us, a family of four. Our boys, ages 8 and 11, loved the pool and its slide and the dog, Choco! We enjoyed the delicious breakfasts, comfortable rooms and great hospitality of the hosts. You can tell that both Marsha and Shell enjoy people and were always willing to help with ideas and suggestions. We used their recommendation for our whale watching and Isla de la Plata combination tour and had a great time. The blue footed boobies and sea turtles were amazing. And of course, seeing humpback whales breeching and up close was incredible! Villa de los Suenos is located about 30 minutes south of Puerto Lopez and 10 minutes north of Montanita. Wonderful location - very relaxing - you can sleep with the windows open to hear the Pacific Ocean and when the tide is low, explore the tidepools right outside the gate. HIghly recommend this for travelers of any sort! We stayed for 3 nights and loved every moment of our time in the area and at this great bed & breakfast.

What a Fantastic B&B!
We loved our 5-night stay at Villa de Los Suenos - what a great location and a real bargain! The hosts, Marsha and Shell, made you feel right at home and couldn't have been more gracious. They helped with all our plans and were a wealth of knowledge regarding the local sights and restaurants. We have to say the views of the Pacific were fantastic and the whale watching from the elevated patio was a real treat. The rooms were very spacious, comfortable and clean while the patio provided a great spot for enjoying the lapping waves or just reflecting on the day's experiences. The big pool with a monster slide and the hot tub was a wonderful place to hang out when not exploring the coastal towns. Great Host, Felt at Home
We spent a weekend at Villa de los Sueños with our 2 teenage children and 2 year old Golden Retriever, and every single one of us had a great time! Marsha was so accommodating and hospitable that we all felt like being at home. She was generous with her time and shared a great deal of tips about Ecuador, including taking us to a restaurant a few minutes away to try some awesome seafood, right by the sea. We are already planning our next visit to Villa de los Sueños, and we are looking to get Penthouse, which some friends had this time, and it was ideal for couples. I'd recommend Villa de los Sueños without hesitation.

My husband and I specifically went for the Whale watching season but what we discovered and received was much more--a place of Grace!
Sure you can easily go to Montanita or Puerto Lopez catch waves, people watch, grab some tasty food fare, but right smack in the middle of them is La Entrada Villa de los Sueños Heaven!
Do what you will here: Whale watch, rest, fish, swim, stare at the sea, reconnect to your Heart center-- Eat, Pray.. LOVE... Just GO!

Fabulous stay
Our family of four (2 kids ages 8 and 10) stayed here in June 2016 for 6 nights and we could not have chosen a better place for our beach vacation. Marsha is a wonderful host and did everything she could to make our stay even more enjoyable. We did not rent a car but she arranged for a driver to pick us up in Guayaquil. We used the bus, which was very easy and cheap but Marsha drove us several times to show us around, take us paragliding or to a restaurant. She made recommendations for tours or surf instructor, always called them herself and arranged everything. It was very relaxing to sit on the terrace and read, listen to the ocean, etc. Our kids were absolutely thrilled with the pool and the slide and were actually very sad when it was time to leave because they loved it here so much. Not to mention they were very happy they could play with their friendly dog Choco. The breakfast buffet was great as well. It was hard to resist the pastries, fruit, eggs, fresh squeezed orange juice etc. We were always stuffed. :) Marsha always offered we take some with us if we were going on a trip. She is really very nice and I would not hesitate to recommend this place to others. And if you have kids, I don't think there is a better place in the area. Thank you again, Marsha.

Relaxing & quiet
We stayed in April 2016 & truly enjoyed our stay. Loved listening to the ocean waves from anywhere on the grounds & the pool is fantastic. The rooms are very nice & the beds are great!! Marsha & Shell are wonderful hosts & we loved their dog. Looking forward to going back next year !

I have been living here in Ecuador with my family for over 6 years now and Villa de Los Suenos is hands down my favorite . My stays there have been nothing short of perfect. It is so nice just to arrive and know that everything is the way it should be...perfect. Every review listed here is spot on. Once you visit Los Suenos your search is over. And for your kids there's.Nothing Better! They can swim with Choco the Wonder Dog.

My wife and I decided to go to Ecuador for some down time and an adventure and we got it. First I have to thank our hosts Shell and Marsha for making us feel incredibly welcome. While we were there, we met 2 other couples staying there that were awesome. Shell gave us all a quick tour of Montanita and pointed out some of the local eateries and points of interest along the way. We also got to go on numerous walks along the beach with Choco! All the Equadorian people we met were wonderful and very helpful. In closing I really want to thank Marsha and Shell for making us feel like we were among old friends and for sharing their incredible home with us! We'll be back.

This place was amazing!! My wife and I really enjoyed our stay there. Marsha & Shell's smiles & hospitality was top notch service!! This is a villa where you can really enjoy the peaceful and beautiful views from the coast of Ecuador. The water from the pool had a perfect temperature and a spectacular view. We definitely will come back there and enjoy this cozy and wonderful spot ! 5 stars all the way!!

This place is an absolute dream. I've gone several times and each time I wish I had more time to spend there. I met Shell and Marsha through a Peace Corps Volunteer, and they are truly two of the nicest people in the world. They go out of their way to make you have an incredible time, their place is beautiful, and they have every amenity possible (swimming pool, hot tub, a slide, bbq, beach volleyball, DELICIOUS breakfast, and a gorgeous view). The room I stayed in was really spacious, beautifully painted, even had A/C and a refrigerator, and the balcony has hammocks. Shell is so wonderful always offering to drive if you don't have a car. And really the bottom line is that both Shell and Marsha are just the kindest people always supporting the community and Peace Corps volunteers, and just willing to go out of their way for you! I can't wait to come back to Ecuador and stay with them again!!!

Beautiful view of the ocean, very clean place, fresh fruits for breakfast every morning with fresh pastries and eggs on top of it if you wish. The remarkable aspect of this villa is the hosts !!! Marsha and Shell !!!! The best ever. They sure go beyong your expectations, soooo generous of their time . Using their van they take their guests to this restaurant on the beach, propose day trip, and more and more. They also gave us the opportunity to meet people by inviting them over which turned out to be very pleasant and every one did have a good time. Thanks for those beautiful souvenirs we brought back with us. Without you it would not have been the same. No wonder why you are NO 1 in Ecuador !!! You deserve way more than a 5 stars. We definitly highly recommand this place, do not hesitate.

Well first off I picked this place based on reviews, as of no surprise it met EVERY expectation. I also chose this villa based on the location. Close enough to Montanita to see the nightlife but also very ease of travel with public transportation to neighboring towns and larger cities from 50 cents locally to $2 for a trip up the coast to see Isla De la Plata which I Highly recommend. Marsha and Shell went WAY above "hospitality" they even stood out on the street to help flag down a bus (which doesn't stop, only slows down for you to jump on). They both showed us local restaurants, and even got us discounts on local fishing and horse back riding trips. They are extremely well versed on the culture, the how to do's and NOT how to do's. The breakfast is always something to look forward to with the freshest fruit, and squeezed juices to the freshest pastries made that morning. The view is also breathtaking, and this place has the best views on the whole 8 mile stretch. If you are a dog lover and had to leave your little pet home, no worries! Choco will be your best buddy from waiting for you to wake up or take a stroll down the beach and providing hours of comfort and enjoyment. Rooms are very large with a closet a kitchenette and amazing views, there is always a gentle breeze and the sounds of the waves are tranquil that make sleeping through the night amazing! We will DEFINITELY be coming back and brining friends next time! 5 STARS! I have traveled the world and I attest the BEST place and guest services I EVER received!! Our summer trip to Ecuador was fantastic! We got to take our 12 yrs. olds twins on an exciting journey to this beautiful country. Most of all, we got to experience the culture, the foodie, and met some of the friendliest people from different regions (e.g...Quito, Banos, Cotopaxi, Tena, Cuenca & Montanita & etc). The last part of our trip was in Montanita, we stayed at the lovely Los Suenos. This place is the perfect getaway from the big cities, traffic, noise...just awesome relaxation. Each night, as we slept, our windows were opened so we can hear the ocean wave crashing against the rocks. We enjoyed Los Suenos so much, we extended our stay for two extra nights. Shell & Marsha's great hospitality made us feel welcome. Most of all, Chaco, (chocolate lab) loved playing fetch the ball with my kids daily. :-) Shell & Marsha provided helpful information in getting us around to see whale watching, taking surf lessons, historic sites, museums and visited other towns nearby as well. Most definitely, I would highly recommend this place for all ages. My kiddos misses Chaco so much,they're planning to come back for spring break 2015 (or the near future). ;-)) We will be back someday soon. This is a great spot on the beach. We stayed for a week and loved it. We were on the 3rd floor king size bedroom. It is accessed by a spiral staircase. Always had great breakfasts there with cooked eggs, bread, and fruit. Also, had a small refrigerator in our room. The hosts were fantastic and we took advantage of their offer a few times to transport us into Montanita.
Rocks are in front of the facility but are covered with sand during the high season, according to the host, Shell. This is exactly the same thing that we had seen in Manta when we lived there.Even with the rocks, just walk 100 feet to a sandy beach. The pool and Jacuzzi were very nice. All the staff was excellent.

We have traveled as a family quite a bit, in different parts of the world, but we have never encountered the hospitality we did at Villa de Los Suenos anywhere else. Ever! Shell and Marsha go above and beyond in every regard. Their place is just beautiful. Lovely rooms and grounds. Stunning sunsets. Fantastic pool for the kids and adults. Steps down to the beach. Bikes, kayak, boogie boards to use whenever we wanted. Delicious breakfasts. They offered us rides to the beach, surf shop, restaurants, market, airport, etc. (Also the bus stops right outside their place so getting rides of our own was never a problem either)
And their dog Choco....oh how we all fell in love!!! Seriously, our family had tears saying goodbye. I read in reviews before we went about how great their dog was, but never expected to find such a sweet, gentle, fun, protective dog. He was like a best friend to our boys (ages 5 and 7). We are all still missing him terribly. The kids keep asking when they can go visit Choco again.
There is no way for us to truly summarize how amazing our time was at Villa de Los Suenos. Shell and Marsha really do make you feel so relaxed and welcome. They accommodated us in every imaginable way. My only world of caution is to plan for much more time than you think you want to be there. Once you watch a sunset from their hanging hammock chairs, and fall asleep listening to the surf each night, you will never want to leave. We intended to stay 3 weeks, and ended up there for 7 weeks. Yes, 7 weeks!!!
Don't think twice about staying there. Just go. It'll be one of the best things you've ever done.

Have you ever had an experience or visited a place that was so above and beyond your expectations that you don't feel there are words to descibe what happened? Well, that is how I feel about writing this review for Montanita! I don't think my words can do this lovely place justice!! I spent 3 nights at this wonderful location and from the time of my pick up (personally picked up by the manager who kindly set my luggage in the back of the van) to the good bye, my trip was just a great big WOW!! The view, the accommodations, the food (the bread is unbelievable), the advise about visiting the island to the north (and we received a ride to the landing to pick up the boat AND were taken to a wonderful beach front place for supper after our return from our day trip!), calmness, tranquility, Choco the dog- it ALL was amazing and superb.
I was coming to Ecuador to visit my daughter and her husband who are living in a larger city. An acquaitance of my daughter's recommended that we take a little vacation and visit Montanita. I am so very glad we did!! I want to return- I watched the sun set each evening while floating in the pool. I loved it and will be sure and recommend Montanita to my friends!!
