5 night stay and we thoroughly enjoyed it. Host was very attentive and quick to respond. Keurig did not work, and they quickly offered to fix. Could have been a little cleaner, but honestly we expected what we got because we knew they accepted animals. Everything else was wonderful. Would book again in a second.

Just completed another great week at Boutique Cottage guest house - always our "go-to" when we're in Missouri to visit family and friends. We love being able to bring our two little Yorkie travel buddies - the perfect place for them to romp and play. The upgraded kitchen and laundry appliances made the stay even more convenient. We didn't get a chance to try out the new hot tub, but hope to during our next visit. As always, the hosts were extremely accommodating, and we always look forward to our trips to MO, knowing we have a great VRBO to enjoy instead of being cramped in a tiny hotel room! Couldn't be happier! Thanks, Bre and Adam!!

This home is outstanding! It is located in a good neighborhood with a Wal-Mart right down the road. In addition, the home has a beautiful lawn that my kids loved running around on.

All the dishes were dirty, microwave and Keurig not working, towels should be in bathrooms, service the handles for both showers, sofa has stains….we cut our visit short.

Nice area to stay. The house was nice but needed a little work. Nothing major just broken mini blinds, sofa was dirty and well used.

Location was great for us as the family we were visiting was only about a 10 minute drive into Lee’s summit. The property is peaceful and the hot tub was a nice touch.

Met family in KC, this place worked great for 2 families of 4. Plenty of space, good location.

We stayed there with family including a 2yr old and infant. The rooms were clean there was plenty of room to play. 2yr old ran around outside. The kitchen was a nice size for cooking. We ate and played games around a good sized table. Furniture had wear and tear but we were okay with that.

Nice guest house worked well for our extended family to celebrate late Christmas. Is wheelchair accessible which was a necessity for us. Location perfect for us close to Lees Summit.

In 40 years of staying in all types of accommodations we’ve never left a poor review. This property and the poor communication with the property manager compels us to leave one here. My intention was to include the whole text thread for context, but we only have 1,500 characters here. The following is a piece of our text thread after bringing the initial list of challenges to the property manager’s attention.

Hi Bre, We’re out. The towel rack came off the holder in the master bath when the towel was taken off this morning. Just seems like a set screw tightening.
The property manager wouldn’t process a partial refund after releasing us though and stopped communicating with us 6 days ago, 5 days before the original check out day, despite multiple attempts from our side.

We met our adult children for Monday Night Football & Pre-Thanksgiving get together!
The ease of getting to Arrowhead Stadium was great!
We spent all day the following day just hanging out together & this place was perfect!
It had everything we needed and was so comfortable!
We would highly recommend!

The location was very handy to everything we had to do and to family. We came into town for a wedding and it was close proximity to the wedding venue and meeting with family in Lee’s Summit. The neighborhood was in a very nice community of other homes. Communication with Bre was great. She was very kind and responsive when I messaged her.

We were in the are for our son’s wedding, he lives in Lees Summit and the wedding was at Powell Gardens. The house was close to both places. Bre responded to all of my inquiries quickly and was extremely helpful.

The unit is very nice and it’s in a great neighborhood. The cleanliness of the unit was not good. Furniture was dirty, and some of it was broken. If they get a new cleaning crew, I would highly recommend this place.

We were in town for my daughters baby shower, usually I stay with one of my daughters when I come, however, since I had so much to do I decided to rent a place. Main reason I rented here was the kitchen. I had so much room to prep everything plus had enough room for everyone who came from out of town. Very nice house, relaxing. My sister met the young lady who took care of the property, said she was very friendly and helpful. Definitely will recommend to anyone who may be looking for a rental when visiting the KC area.

We chose this property because of the location and the amount of sleep space available for our family. The unit was spacious enough for our littles to run around and allowed private space for each of our 2 children and their families. That completes the positive! The entire space was not clean or neat. We were very disappointed in the condition of the furnishings. Multiple dirty and damaged items. We decided to just make the most of it. I could make a long extensive list of ways to improve this listing. If someone is seriously interested in specifics I would be happy to discuss our observations. This listing is missing the mark. Could be improved with a bit of TLC.

House was perfect for wedding location, close to freeway, stores, gas station. House could definitely use some updating and little TLC. Lots of cars came in/out of the shared driveway (even a motor home, food delivery service, & horse trailer)

Location of property was ideal for the locations of the events we attended. The cleanliness of the property was poor, looked like it had not been cleaned for months. Bre did offer to send over a crew to clean it. Also, it is in need of minor repairs and paint. When you check in you do not want to spend your time taking pictures and documenting issues, so you do not get blamed for the damage that you did not cause. Bre did respond promptly to our text message in regard to some of the issues and need for additional hand towels.

Quiet, comfortable stay on peaceful and pretty grounds. Great location that is easy to get in and out of and travel to the city or Lees Summit or Blue Springs and lots of dining options and grocery stores nearby. Had pretty much any amenity you could need (kitchen tools, etc.). Don’t expect brand new, immaculate, top-of-the line furniture, appliances, etc. BUT it makes sense here as it is a well-lived in, family-friendly home. The master bed was super comfy. The host was kind, responsive, and easy to work with leading up to our stay. I would definitely stay here again if in the area.

We first discovered the Boutique Cottage in 2019, and it has become our "go-to" place to stay each year when we travel to visit family and friends in Missouri. We'd much prefer this large, spacious, well-equipped guest house over staying in a cramped hotel room, and we're thrilled to be able to bring our two little 5-pound dogs with us. The property is located in a peaceful, quiet, safe area, gets us away from the hectic activity of the city, yet has excellent, quick access to everything we need. Owners are very friendly and great to deal with, and respond quickly to any questions. Whenever possible, we actually plan our trips back to Missouri around availability of the Boutique Cottage, as it's by far our first choice for "home away from home" in the area! We really enjoyed our stay. The rental unit was as nice as described and as in the vrbo photos. Host was very accommodating and responsive to quickly field a few questions we had during our stay. Beautiful property and ample space for our group of 3 adults and 2 children.

We stayed 4 nights at the property with our grandkids while they were on Spring Break. The home was easy to find - very close to plenty of local attractions - and plenty big enough for us.
