Our family reunion went beautifully, largely thanks to the Augustines's lovely lake house. Jill and Mike were wonderful, responsive and flexible hosts and the house and locations were ideal. We highly recommend the house!

We enjoyed being right on the lake, we caught alot of bass, and the kids enjoyed catching sunfish & bluegills from the dock. Although we weren't able to swim in the lake account of bacteria in the lake, we were close enough to the other parks that had a nice beach. The owners were very easy to deal with.

For Memorial Day weekend we took the extended family to Mike and Jill's place. Everyone was thrilled with the size and the layout of the 2 floors, having 6 bedrooms and essentially 2 living room areas. The kids had a blast playing foosball and ping pong, challenging their parents, grandparents, and uncles. A few of us took turns in the kayak to paddle down Lake Carobeth. We had no problem getting into Welcome Center or using the pool facilities (just be sure to follow rules and take the paper with that has the information of party size and the pool tags). We had some noisy weekender neighbors but Mike gave us the # to the Welcome Center and public safety took care of that; sound really travels over and around water so you have to watch voice/music volumes. Mike and Jill were very generous with the coming and leaving hours, so we took advantage of the latter. It's really great to have enough room to move around and get away by yourself in the house. We enjoyed our weekend tremendously. Thank you, Mike and Jill.

Nice lakefront property with great potential. Pro's- great communication from the owners that were clear and pertinent. Great wifi and the kitchen was adequately stocked with utensils (except spoons). The layout of the house is great and our entire family enjoyed a great week. The house is in need of upgrades (couldn't keep a plug in many of the outlets) and would suggest running a dehumidifier to alleviate the musty smell. The bathroom fixtures were clean but I can't say the same for the floors. Thanks for sharing your lakefront home with us.

Renting thru the VRBO App was very easy. Time consuming part is finding the right property with the best mix of living space for the group.

The pictures do not do it justice!
This place was a dream for me and my family!! The are bedrooms on both floors, which helped greatly with my elderly grandmother. She spent the entire weekend comfortably on the first floor. It was very easy checking in at the community office too. From being able to drink my morning tea on the top deck, looking out over the glistening lake, to roasting smores over the fire pit at night while looking at the stars: ever moment was so perfect! Even for a big group like us, we had our dog, my younger siblings, some extended family, and our grandparents, everyone enjoyed themselves. The only minor issues is that there was no paddleboat, just a rowboat and the oars were broken (one was not connected to the boat), but the kayaks were a blast!! Thank you for opening up your home to us!

Excellent property
This house is perfectly located on the lakefront in the gated community. There are six bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms to share. Two of the bedrooms had private half bath which was a great perk to have. The kitchen has some pots and pans for guests use, but not enough cups and glasses I think. There is no kettle, so if you are a tea drinker bring your own (we brought one with us, so no biggy). The refrigerator and the kitchen is on the smaller side, so if you have a big group and plan on cooking consider downsizing on groceries lol.
Unfortunately the weather was not cooperating during our visit, so we didn't have a chance to enjoy the kayaks and paddle boat the owners provide. The firepit is right in front of the house and has lots of chairs around it. Too bad we couldn't enjoy it again due to the weather (it was raining all 3 days we were there). The house is not modern and if you like luxury this
house is not for you. Also if you have allergies I suggest you take your medication with you as you will need it (I think its due to the age and location of the house).
The owners were super nice and they gave us very generous check in and check out times, Thank you
The wifi didn't work on our arrival, but my husband called the owner and it was fixed (we got the directions on how to make it to work).
We were a family of 17 and there was enough sleeping spaces, if some of you dont mind not sleeping in the bedroom. There was lots of games, books and two living rooms to entertain.
The owners replied to all my emails and phone calls.
I definitely recommend this house.

Great place and wonderful family get away!
My family and I had a wonderful time at the lake house. The views were great, the space offered enough room for the adults and children to enjoy, and we had a large group! We did a day at the mountains skiing and tubing and got to enjoy the fire places, views, and games at the house. Great time had by all! Thank you!

Family fun
We had a great time playing games, cards, puzzles, kayaking and watching the ducks. Plenty of sleeping space and table space. The unfortunate part was that this house is in great need of maintenance. So many things are broken and worn out. Also some leaking from the living room ceiling during a rain. It could be a great place with a little TLC. Nevertheless, we had a great family week together.

Can’t Control the Weather
The property suited our needs. Thank goodness for the kayaks, paddle boat and the fire pit! Between rain storms and unusually cold weather we were able to warm ourselves around the fire pit and enjoy each other’s company. The house is stocked with many board games and enough dishes to accommodate all guests. The owners were responsive to our issues with the TVs, and some lights that were out. They even replaced the a paddle boat that had some issues. My only negative is that I had a great deal of physical issues with the staircases to the 2nd floor, so please consider if you have any mobility or balance issues. But the younger members of the family had no problem.

2018 Family Vacation
This place is amazing. The views are extraordinary, we enjoy the accommodations, very spacious rooms, lots of games and entertainment for the kids inside and outside. We sat by the fire roasted marshmallows, rode the kayaks, paddleboats in overall I give this place a 5 star. The owners Jill & Mike were very accommodating and responsive to any questions or requests we had.
will highly recommend this place as we are thinking of coming back.

A lovely place to reconnect with family
Our group of ten adults, one toddler, and four dogs had a fantastic time at this wonderful house. While there was enough space inside for everyone on the day we experienced some rain storms, the real draw is outside. We spent many hours on the large two story deck, talking, relaxing, and reading with mountain breezes keeping everything from getting too hot. We also really enjoyed the lake. Members of our party fished right from the dock (though nobody caught The Big One) and we made use of the pedal boat and kayaks. The community in which the house is located has several nice amenities including playgrounds, pools, a sandy beach, and sport courts. While I didn't personally take advantage of these, members of our group did and enjoyed it.
The owners Michael and Jill were very helpful to us before and during our stay. They were available whenever we had questions and resolved a few minor problems for us quickly.
A couple of things that other travelers may want to be aware of:
- There is limited fridge/freezer space which can be challenging with large groups. We made it work with several large coolers on the porch filled with ice but if you have a large group, you might want to plan on a mid-week grocery run.
- The beds were not the most comfortable with several of the mattresses being uneven. We lived with it and it was fine.
Despite these two flaws, I give this property five stars for the service we received and the price that we paid. We spent HOURS combing the internet for waterfront houses with 6+ bedrooms that allow dogs AND fit our budget and this was one of few that came up. What a deal!

Great Winter Break
It was a wonderful experience for a family. Its easy access to nearby ski resorts and lakes make it great for fun. Also its great atmosphere with a fireplace and plenty of space indoors make it hard to be bored. I highly recommend this house.

Great comfy feeling with plenty of space and awesome view
Staying at this house was amazing and dealing with the owners was fantastic. They were cordial and always quick to respond. I highly recommend considering this place for your next trip up to the Poconos.

Great vacation
Very nice relaxing vacation. Had some small issues, like light switches not marked, so spent time flipping switches to get lights on or off. Toilet paper was provided, a full roll on, and almost empty rolls under the sink. Glad we brought our own. Screens on sliding doors had openings in them that a medium sized dog could walk through. We fixed the one we used to keep the bugs out. But it was a nice vacation and we all enjoyed ourselves.

Absolutely Amazing
Hello, I just recently stayed at this Lake Front Property this past weekend and I couldn't have had a better time. The house was flawless and the pictures does no justice to how the house was when I arrived. Had a lot of amenities and was super close to different attractions. I will deffinatly recommend this property to anyone! The perfect getaway location!

Great Summer Vacation Spot
We had an amazing time at this rental property. There was plenty of room for everyone to spread out (6 adults & 7 children). The neighborhood is very nice and the people are extremely helpful. We swam at the pools, rented pattle boats at the lake, used the tennis courts, fished off the dock, and even floated on rafts right off the back dock. The property was amazing, almost every night we sat by the firepit hanging out and making memories. In the yard we fed deer right out of our hands, saw a beaver in the lake, and even got scared by a skunk. While on vacation there we were able to do such activities as zip lining at Camelback, bowling, go carts, trolley tours of the water gap, hibachi grill dinners, and even took a day trip to Dorney Park. The weather was cool in the evenings which made for great sleeping. There was definatly plenty to do within the community as well as the surrounding area. The owners Jill and Mike were always polite and quick to get back to you with any questions or concerns almost immediately. They made you feel welcomed. We definetly had an amazing week and would highly recommend this property.

Wonderful week with family
Sometimes life gets in the way of what is truly important. Family. We see them when our schedule allows. Then we all got together for one precious week at this wonderful lake house. Ranging in age from 3 to 77, there was something for everyone. We kayaked, canoed, tubed, fished, grilled, played games, rested, talked and laughed to our hearts content. The highlight of my 77 year old mother's week was hand feeding a beautiful doe that stopped by the yard on two occasions. She can't stop talking about it. My 3 year old grandson said he wanted to stay at the "happy house". I know this week can never be recreated and that makes it all the more special. Also, visits to the candle shops, outlets, antique mall (a must for collectors), watching fireworks on the dock on July 4th. As you can tell we had a wonderful time and the house was just what we needed. Plenty of room inside and out. We will all carry the memories from this week in the Pocono's for years to come.

Family get away
The house was amazing!! The house was spacious for my party of 17, we had plenty of room inside and out for everyone to enjoyed. The home was well maintain, very clean the view of the lake is the best. The niehbor was very friendly. The stores, parks, tubing, horse back riding is about 20 min away.The owners ( Jill and Mike) were very helpful with any questions or concerns we had. I would highly recommend this for a getway of all adults or with your kids. We definitely plan on staying again!

wonderful stay!
We came up at the end of October for an all couples getaway. We could not have been more pleased. The house is very spacious with plenty of room inside and out for everyone to relax on their own or hang out as a group. One of our friends is recovering from a foot injury and he navigated the property with ease. The highlights were sitting around the firepit each night. Beautiful scenery. Easy to get to...we are from Philadelphia. The home was very clean and the owners were very helpful with any questions or concerns we had. I would highly recommend this for a getway of all adults or with your kids. We definitely plan on staying again!

Great Time!
We had a wonderful time at this house! The lake view is gorgeous. We couldn't believe how cool the house stayed even though it was very warm outside. The house was a great size for our group of 8 (but it could have slept up to 4 more people very comfortably). The firepit and dock provided hours of entertainment. One of our favorite parts about this location was the friendly deer and ducks who always stopped by!
The owners were very nice to deal with and promptly answered any questions. They even provided free wi-fi.
One tip though... bring bug spray/killer during the summer! they find their way in the house through the screen doors.

ist. the owners:very nice and accomadating. good to work with. had a question due to previous renters and mike was very nice and seemed like an easy going guy. jill always had constant contact with emails. i wish renters would give them more kindness back. treat the house as your own or in some cases better. now house: very nice.right on lake.too cold to enjoy outdoor firepit. indoor fire place awesome.14 people.6kids/8adults. all had room or a niche to go. all enjoyed the porch,lake and walk around block morning afternoon and night.we had 4 women in the kitchen area cooking,cleaning & preparing w/o any prob. loved the locked box.few times we weren't together we were able to come & go with no worry of key. toomuch to go on about. i would rent again. really like the place a lot. and even though you bring your own linen(i prefer)the pillows where big and fluffy. 2 tubs and 4 toilets and sinks and washer and tons of hot water. makes for quick clean up & getting out to go have fun at nearby attractions. we didn't use the heat much. something about this place. i do have to warn on one thing:stairs for 2nd are slippery!!where something on feet with grip!!had 2 people slip but caught selves. beautiful wood work.oh age group:6yrs-72yrs!!something for all. games movies,niche for reading..........thank you jill and mike from who group who didn't want to leave!

We had a great stay at this vacation rental! The beach was right across the house which had paddle boats and row boats to rent for free with the passes provided. Kids had a wonderful time with the boats. The community was very nice, people were friendly and there was parks for the children throughout the community. We are acually going to be renting again soon!

We had a very relaxing we...
We had a very relaxing week at your house this summer! We did not want a crazy vacation week, and we accomplished it. The house was perfect, enough bedrooms for everyone, very cozy and the 2 decks looking out onto the lake were wonderful. The game room/extra living room was the kids hang out room. We had a roaring fire in the fire pit almost every night. We roasted marshmallows with the kids for the first time and it was a fun experience for them. My sister brought her 2 kayaks with her and they were used daily in the lake. All the kids went out in them for the very first time and had a blast! The ducks stopped by every morning for there bread, which the kids looked forward to. I would recommend this house to anyone who just wants to get away and relax…this is the perfect house for that. Since it’s only about a 1 hr ½ away, we are thinking of renting it for a weekend when all our schedules are free! But we will be back for a week’s vacation!!!
